Quick Review: Le Metier de Beaute Anatolia Nail Lacquer
Le Metier de Beaute Anatolia Nail Lacquer ($10.00 for 0.14 fl. oz.) is described as a “rich plum illuminating with bronzy, golden shimmer.” It’s a darkened, slightly muted, red with golden shimmer. The finish is almost foil-like, but it’s not quite as reflective as a true foil finish (nor as naturally matte but reflective). Dior Apparat was the closest dupe I could think of, but it is a richer red and has finer gold shimmer. Zoya Alegra is lighter, pinker.
The color coverage is fully opaque after two coats, and the consistency wasn’t too thick or too thin. Â Le Metier de Beaute, generally, has a lovely formula and interesting shades. Â Now, they have full-sized bottles, but in the past, they released small bottles. Â These smaller bottles can make for a more challenging application if you have longer fingers or larger hands, since the caps are so small. Â It contains just over a fourth of a full-sized polish (average size of full-sized polish is 0.50 fl. oz.) but is priced at $10, which is more palatable than say Dior or Chanel’s $20+ price tags (and you get around 0.34 to 0.40 fl. oz. with those). Â I typically get a week of wear out of the brand’s formula with no chipping and very minor tip wear.
** A Note on Quick Reviews: In an effort to be more on-the-ball for 2013, I’m digging through my photo folders and getting as much posted as I can. These are not full-length, in-depth reviews, and instead, I’m writing brief reviews. For dupes, I highly suggest checking out The Swatch Gallery; it’s my first stop whenever I am looking for possible dupes. All of the swatches in this post are automatically added to the gallery, so you can compare them for yourself.

It looks similar to OPI for Sephora ‘Whats Your Pointsettia’, if anyone is searching for another dupe!
Wow, i’m in love with this colour! 🙂
It’s gorgeous, but that would never justify the cost (for me).
$10 is pretty much the cost of essie/opi. I’m surprised it’s that cheap, I thought it would be more in the price range of Chanel.
The size of these are about 1/3 of a Chanel!
It only has 0.14oz, though! At $10, that means the polish is priced at $71.84 per ounce! Chanel is $25 for a 0.4oz bottle, which comes to $62.50 per ounce. OPI and Essie and OPI, by comparison, are ~$8 for 0.5 oz, which works out to only $16 per ounce.
Seriously, when it comes to looking at the true cost of a nail polish, size DOES matter. 😉
oof…and I’m the kind of girl that’s happy with a cute dollar store polish. Also, I guess the amount of excess glass in the packaging is a little off-putting for me. I’ll buy a mini, but don’t try to make it look like a full-sized bottle.
This is stunning!!
