Burberry’s Wet & Dry Glow in #002. Other ones that come to mind: MUFE Artist Shadows, Burberry’s holiday highlighter, OCC Technopagan.

Maybelline Fit Me foundations; both formulas work beautifully with my dry skin, and 110 is neutral enough for me.
WnW Fergie Take On The Day Mattifying Powder was also a pleasant surprise! I normally steer away from powders, but this one doesn’t feel drying, and allows me to apply blush/contour powders without getting patchy.
**MAC Cream Color Base in Pink Shock -after swatching in store, I bought this without reading any reviews (very rare for me). In the compact, it’s a scary-looking neon magenta pink, but it’s very soft and lovely when applied sheer. And best of all, it stays on my teflon cheeks all day, while other blushes tend to disappear or slide off . Only bummer is, this color is not safe to use on lips. I’ll definitely be checking out more colors.
** Tom Ford Cream Shadow in Spring 2015 – so glad I splurged and got this. It’s a gorgeous mix of black/brown/pewter with some shimmer. You can wear sheer , or darker for a sexy, smoky eye. Love!
MAC Ultimate Lipstick in Marque! I fell in love with it after reading your review of it, tried it on last week, and I’m buying it tomorrow. Perfect nude lippy for me!
1. Chanel (new) Les 4 Ombres/Tisse quadra eyeshadows, especially Venetien and Gabrielle
2. NARS Wet/Dry eye shadows
3. MAC Ultimate Lipsticks
The clinique 8 pan shadow palettes & the KVD contouring palette!
MUFE cream blushes are so impressive, and Christine, I have you to thank for your swatches and reviews. It is the best blush formula I’ve ever tried, I have Indian Rosewood and the Coral shade and I have my eye on the orange one!
NARS Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. Loooove it.
UD Naked 3 palette. I reach for this almost every day so I must be impressed!
For makeup: Marc Jacobs Sally nail lacquer. Such a beautiful shade, formula and finish!
For skin care: REN Omega 3 Optimum Skin Oil. It’s the first serum I ever used that made me go “woah” the day after I first applied it. It had brightened my complexion, evened my skin tone and deeply moisturized my (dehydrated combination) skin. Amazing stuff.
The new Estée Lauder Double Wear eyeliners.
Colour pop shock shadows <3
I’m still swooning over Burberry’s Gold eyeshadow quad that they released for Holiday 2014. The colors and formula is so impressive that it’s currently my most reached for quad. They need to bring it back so that more people can experience it.
I was in my local CCO last week and they were stocked with singles, duos, and quads of the Clinique shadows. I really had to restrain myself. I love the “tone” of the colors they are just so wearable. Usually when I buy a quad there is one pan that I am just not crazy about and won’t use, but that just doesn’t happen with Clinique, each and every color looks good.
Hourglass ambient lighting powder in luminous light. Need I say more. It truly gives the most subtle but beautiful glow
xx
After sampling TONS of high end foundations over the last year, I just purchase my first one. The Lancome Teint Idole Ultra and I LOVE it! The color match is just right and it’s perfect for my oily skin.
Side note: I’ve been trying to get my hands on that OCC Technopagan. It’s sold out everywhere! I’ve even contacted them directly to see when it would be back in stock and they said that it would be in the near future. We shall see…
I’d have to say the Hard Candy Top Ten Palettes in Feelin’ Blue and Raining Men. They’re so vibrant! I dislike all other Hard Candy products and picked these up on a pure whim and now I have to have them all!
The Top Ten palettes are so surprisingly good. I ended up with them all, as well. Even the blues are great.
bobbi brown art stick i think dusty rose
That would have to be Colour Pop eyeshadows for the staying power and pigmentation and definitely It Cosmetic’s Your Skin But Better CC cream for the way it evens out my skin tone.
Sephora’s airbrush foundation. I guess I wasn’t expecting it to be that great because it was Sephora brand and I’m more of a Dior Airflash user, but it was a third of the price of the Dior Airflash and worked just as good!
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara and Creamy Mattes Lipsticks! AMAZING quality, I´m obsessed!
The Bobbi Brown BB cream in fair. It’s a deluxe size sample that I’ve had for I don’t know how long. But it’s actually suiting my skin perfectly right now! I think it’s more of a medium coverage, and doesn’t leave my oily skin greasy looking – it stays rather natural/ matte with a setting powder on top. It was a good stash-find because I’m sort of having a complexion crisis at the moment! I’m not liking any of my foundations for the colour match & finishes!
Kat Von D Shade & Light palette
Most recently, the new Dior Nude Air Serum foundation.
Before that, Stila In The Garden palette. The shadows are some of the softest, most buttery and highly pigmented I’ve tried.
The Tom Ford eye cream was the last ..I know I am late in the game there. But the spring 2015 is the first one I have owned. I have other eyeshadow creams. it certainly has something different to it. I love it. hooked now which is unfortunate for my wallet!
Oh gosh, so many! Skincare wise definitely Tatcha Classic Polished Rice Enzyme Powder. It completely blows my mind and makes my skin look incredible. Also their One Step Camellia Cleansing oil, Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, and Moisture Rich Silk Cream. All amazing products. My skin has never looked better! I’m also loving Nude Skincare’s Overnight Repair Mask. I’ve been working and going to school all day these past few weeks and I’ve been using the mask at night to repair my tired skin.
Makeup wise I’ve been loving Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer and Veil Fluid Makeup foundation, when worn together my makeup looks incredible! And today I used Lancôme Hypnôse Star Mascara for the first time and my lashes look great, so I’m adding that to the list! 🙂
My New Tarte Foundation Brush!
Bite Luminous Creme Lipsticks, IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness (honestly, that stuff is magical), Sephora’s new Ethereal Natural Finish Foundation (I only have samples as I need to finish up at least one of the several foundations I have on the go but I will be purchasing it soon).
The new NYX High Voltage lipsticks are turning out to be pretty nice! They’re super creamy and pigmented. Not to mention the color range is pretty nice too. I’m also loving the new Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation too. I loved the original version but this one is slightly better. I don’t have to set it and the finish is so natural. I get compliments every time I wear it
* Physician’s Formula Mineral Wear Oh So Radiant! Powder in Translucent SPF 20 — This is like a pressed, better-performing version of the Laura Mercier Mineral Powder. It has the same subtly glowy, luminous quality to it that won’t make your skin look flat and dull. But unlike the LM version, PF Mineral Wear doesn’t get cakey on my face and doesn’t make my pores look huge. I mean, wow. For a drugstore product I am seriously impressed. Not to mention it’s talc-free and mineral-based.
* Essie Dress to Kilt — This is just a red creme nail polish, right? Nope. This, my friends, is a one-coater. It glides on, self-leveling, and covering the nail with perfectly opaque color. It is a full-bodied medium neutral red that is ultra-flattering. With Seche Vite over top it looks like I have on gel nails. Gorgeous.
Thanks for the Essie rec! It does look gorgeous and a one-coater is always nice 🙂
Besame lipsticks. I got 4 shades (red velvet, american beauty, exotic pink, cherry red) and I am ridiculously impressed with them. They are insanely pigmented but don’t leave my lips feeling dry and cracked like most long-wear lips colors. The packaging couldn’t be more beautiful. I am completely besotted with the whole brand. I got their crimson cheek rouge also and it’s a total winner. It seems like they are getting a lot more press lately so I’m hoping they expand their selection a bit because I’m hooked.
LOVE Besame! Hope they expand beyond the 2 powders @ Sephora. But, ordering from them is fine. gotta expand there, only have 2 sticks + the licorice gloss. great quality + being a red fan, it’s like fantasyland!
I’ve just turned 60, with still really pretty skin, but battling the fine under eye lines and crows feet, but hey, I don’t mind some expression lines at my age! To keep my skin looking radiant and polished, I’ve been super impressed with the La Roche Posay Redermic line. I also love my new Clarisonic Mia with the Luxe brush I got for Christmas.
A side note: don’t stress so much over a few extra pounds! It looks better on your face and helps with bone density, I have skinny skinny friends who are a mess of wrinkles and already have osteoporosis from being too thin!
I’m 54 and I couldn’t agree with you more. I used to hate my full face. Now I love it!
You are so right! My sister is very thin and very wrinkled – I have a few pounds and very few wrinkles!
So right! And Deborah, I love your sparkling silver locks! I took the shears and clipped my color off down to a spikey 1 1/2″ , and out came this glorious crown of silver/crystal white/grey hair. First time I started getting an avalanche of compliments on my hair!! I’ll never go back to coloring my hair. I have my natural shine back! Who knew??
Just got that It e/s palette yesterday – the $20 one? AMAZEBALLS! Can’t wait to seriously play with it this weekend.
LORAL Gold Unzipped palette is SO beautiful! I’m REALLY enjoying that one.
and Shiseido’s translucent pressed powder compact – this is what I’ve been hunting for to carry with me for touchups. It’s small, compact, the mirror is on the correct side (I’m looking at you Physician’s Formula) and it does exactly what I need a pressed powder to do – freshens my makeup without looking dry or cakey.
Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara! Hands down, the best mascara I’ve ever used!
Milani Hot Pink Rage lipstick. Inexpensive and a gorgeous color.
Biore sunscreen spf50. The best of all sunscreens.
I absolutely love Estee Lauder’s Color Envy Sculpting lipstick in Reckless. I’ve never spent that much on a lipstick but I am beyond impressed. It’s very creamy when applied but I never have to worry about it bleeding into the fine lines around my mouth. I think what impressed me the most was that it kept my lips moisturized, something I’ve never found a lipstick to do.
Isn’t Reckless awesome? I have that and Impassioned (orangey red) and I absolutely love the formula.
Tarte’s Tartelette palette–such a lovely range of mattes. Also Colourpop shadows–they’re an incredible bargain for such good shadows. Skincare: this isn’t as recent, but it really wowed me. The Origins Dr. Weil Mega Bright eye cream. I wish I’d taken pictures before I started using it because tere’s been a visible reduction of my dark under-eye circles.
Nars pencils in Red Square and Isola Bella, Nars e/s duos, Nars Illuminators and Multiples in lighter shimmer shades, Becca liquid illuminators, Jouer Mimosa l/g.
Fragrances: Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge, TBS Smoky Poppy line. Chanel Coco edp, al-Rehab Choco Musk.
I haven’t been buying a lot of makeup lately, but one thing that stands out in my mind are the Revlon Matte Balms. Super pigmented and feel wonderful on the lips.
Physicians Formula 100% Organic BB cream with coconut
Tarte Marajuca Miracle Foundcealer; Nyx High Voltage Lipsticks, Soft Matte Cremes, and Intense Butter Glosses; e.l.f. Studio BB Cream SPF 20, and e.l.f. Studio Maximum Coverage Concealer – Oil Free.
Oh! And MUFE HD Cream Blush in 410 (coral). Love this to pieces. I want to try some other shades, as well.
Probably Nars albatross because it makes such a great face highlighter and a glowing blush for days you just want to glow. It’s so pretty you can wear it on it’s own with no other blush and look gorgeous all day. That and taj mahal because it’s the perfect flushed from within blush that also looks super dreamy as an eyeshadow. Their both one stop shops that are so good I may not buy any other blushes for a very long time.
I’ve been using Peter Thomas Roth Retinol Fusion PM for the last month and it is amazing. Total HG face serum!!
IT Cosmetics CC Cream!!
Cevave SA moisturizing lotion (jar).
Bite fig lipstick- perfect shade of pink; Nars Matte Multiple in Anguilla- again perfect shade of pink.
I tried guerlain orchid cream and it surpasses all others
The NARS wet/dry eyeshadows are definitely impressing me right now. They’re so gorgeous!
5 in 1 L´Oreal BB Cream!! <3
Essential Lip Enhancer by Jouer Cosmetics. It’s basically an overnight lip balm treatment. It was a deluxe sample in a goody bag from Cult Beauty but I will definitely be repurchasing!
I can think of two recent ones-
The NARS Dual-Intensity shadow palette- LOVE that rich almost creamy texture.
The IT Cosmetics Velvet Luxe Brushes, sold exclusively at Ulta. They’re not only gorgeous, but have the best application of powder products that I have ever seen from a synthetic brush. Also they feel like a chinchilla and a unicorn had a baby, and they shaved it to make these brushes. They’re heavenly!
Almay Smart Shade Skintone Matching Makeup. I bought it because I had a coupon and figured I’d give it a try, but I was pretty impressed with how even and natural it made my skin look. Also, I have been loving the It Cosmetics Under Eye Concealer and Brightener duo – the concealer gives good coverage and is easy to blend and the brightener is nice and subtle.
The very last one would be the Burberry holiday 2014 Gold eyeshadow palette. Wow. The highlighter is great, too, but that palette is a standout among neutral palettes, even against my beloved Chanel Tisse Mademoiselle.
ColourPop! Their “Fizz” eyeshadow lasted all over my eyelids all day (~10 hours) over NARS Smudgeproof and Too Faced Glitter Glue. Most of my shadows from any brand that I use tend to crease on me several hours in even with primer, but this was really impressive.
Also, the lippie stix. I wore Brills and Pony on two different days and they both lasted many hours and applied well over themselves without caking up like some lipsticks can do.
The wear is off the charts, right?? Like I’m STILL impressed, because it’s not just a mere 8 hours, but I’ll hit 12-14 hours and it’s still going quite nicely.
Nars creamy concealer, lorac pro ( I hated it at first because the first color I tried was champagne and I had glitter all over the place, put it away for a while until I kept reading reviews on how great it was and tried the other shade, love them!!!). tom ford shade and illuminate and lastly the la mer treatment foundation.
