Lancome Poudre Elephant Teint Star Product (Elephant Compact)

The “star product” for Lancome’s Maharani Jewels collection for fall (already out) is their Poudre Elephant Teint, which is meant to be used as a bronzer. When I swatched it, it went on as a very peachy kind of color with lots of gold sheen and a few gold flecks. I imagine the peachiness is what I got from the elephant’s body, which is an orangey color. I have yet to try this on my face in an actual look, but it is gorgeous when swatched. At $36, this limited edition compact is actually attainable. Many of the star products with such prettythings imprinted and emblazoned tend to be upwards of $50, but Lancome did it right this time! I’m really loving the way it swatches, so I’m hoping it’ll work nicely on my cheeks. I see myself using it to create glowy cheeks rather than as a bronzer. I feel like the shimmer is a bit much for a bronzer (I prefer mine semi-matte or matte).

Have you tried this? Are you interested in it?

Oh, wow! I’m not usually into Lancome products, but that is gorgeous. And you’re right about the price being very reasonable for an imprinted product. I’d love to see you wearing it!

Oh wow, that is gorgeous! It looks like a universally flattering color too. It is definitely on my wish list now.

The design is so pretty I think I’d be hesitant to mess it up though, lol.. Do you know if the different colors go all the way through or is it just on the surface? Is the lower price perhaps because it is just on the top layer?

Anyhow, can’t wait to see it used in a look, it’s so pretty and peachy. =)

I saw this at the Lancome counter last thursday and the pattern is pretty deeply imprinted. The sample had been pretty worn down but I could still make out the design and colors nicely.

I recently learned that Lancome products tend to be released later in Canada then in the US, however when it does I am heading STRAIGHT to the Lancome counter.

Hmmm, that looks like I might be able to get away with using that as a bronzer/blush on my pale skin, if done correctly.

At the very least, I might pick that up for my aunt. She has gorgeous olive skin, and this might not show up well on her, but she loves elephants, and I know she doesn’t have something like that already.

LOVE this bronzer! I picked this up a bit ago, but while it’s being pushed as a bronzer, it’s really a very bright blush on my fair skin. That “saddle” made of orange/coral is so incredibly pigmented that it takes over any other color that’s embedded (matte pale pink/bronze).

That said, it gives such a fabulous pop of healthy color, I’m so glad I caved in to it (along with a quad lol, also fabulous)!

Is that elephant only the top? Because if that pink and peach shades dont last I have to forger that. In Christinas swatch’s that look so amazing! 🙂
