With summer upon us and cream-based products getting more love, it seemed time to try out Kosas Color & Light Palettes ($34.00). I only saw six duos available on Sephora but there are two more available through the brand. What’s interesting about the range is that there is a regular duo and a “high intensity” version of it, which has “double” the pigment, which was cool to see.

Velvet Melon and 8th Muse, both in the High Intensity formula, have really caught my eye! These look so nice and rich in pigment. I’ve heard good things about the formula, too.

That is cool that they have a light and darker color palette! I wish more brands would do this. I like Melon and Muse. I picked up a couple cream blush brushes from Fenty and Laura Mercier to use with my new cream blushes. Sometimes using my fingers with cream blush doesn’t look that great.

What a great idea to have two versions – regular and high intensitity options for the duos. And I think the duo shades of the blush and highlighter co-ordinate well together too. I am keen to see the Velvet melon regular duo, as I think this would suit me best.

I’ve had a his brand on my radar for a while now, and these blushes may be my tipping point…. That said, I’ve gone a bit overboard in the foundation & cream blush/bronzer categories, so I’ll have to wait until at least the end of the year… Hopefully, by then I’ll at least be able to swatch them in-person!
