This looks AMAZING for travel! Will you be reviewing this one?
Seems like it’d be a good value, but I can’t with the cream and the powder being in the same palette.
Oh wow! This is a super great kit and a great deal. I have all of the products except 3 of the shadows. Starlight is actually a KA highlighter. So, it would serve a dual purpose. The creams you purchase individually are tiny. It looks like this may be getting more product. I don’t contour a lot. But, when I do, these are my go to products. It would be awesome to have them all together. Any detail on the amount of product vs. what you individual. I may have just have to get this.
The description on Sephora confused me a bit. Someone that received the palette posted this very helpful info on another site-
“This set contains:
– 0.14 oz The Sculpting Powder In Medium (FS= 0.11oz $44… Vol.2 palette is LARGER!)
– 0.17 oz The Celestial Powder In Candlelight (FS= 0.11oz $44… Vol.2 palette is LARGER!)
– 2 x 0.16 oz The Creamy Glow: Candlelight Cream & Sculpting Cream (FS= 0.16oz total… Vol.2 palette is DOUBLE the size)
– 0.04 oz The Celestial Powder In Starlight
– 3 x 0.04 oz The Eye shadow in Brighten, Cool Tan, Ruddy Earth”
Seems like a good value. Mine is on the way!
Thanks Pat! I just ordered one. I have all of the contour and highlight products already in original packaging. If the palette is true to the original, you are going to love this! But, having them in a palette will be great for so many reasons! This is an amazing value!
Can you please let me know when you get it if the quality is the same as original.
Thank you!
Can you please let me know when you get the Kevyn palette if it’s the same quality as original.
Thank you!
Hi Abir. I sure will. I received mine on Fri. It swatches like the original. I haven’t worn it yet though. I will report back early this week. I did find a solution though to one problem some of the reviewerd on Sephora.com had mentioned. The palette comes with a plastic covering(most palettes do) I cut it and taped it to the top to cover the creams.
My only concern with this one is that the creams may possible dry out because the way the entire thing is packaged. I’m not scientific guru and don’t know if cream products have an ingredient that would allow them to “keep” longer. It all opens like a book. In the original version the creams are closed over in the compact. So, if you or anyone has info on that front, I’d appreciate that. the only thing I could find on a quick google search was that lipsticks and cream products can last up to 3 years.
Hey Abir. Update on the KA Contour book II. I have been playing with both the creams and powders all week. I’m no expert. But, IMO, they are all fantastic and seem to be equal to their permanent counterparts. I have only used two of the shadows. But, when I did I didn’t use primer. I normally do. But, I just threw it on to go to the grocery and it worked pretty well. So, I can’t speak a whole lot to the shadows. But, I think they are going to be pretty good as well. Hope that helps!:)
The cream and powder highlighters and contours are full size isn’t that crazy. And in fact, they contain slightly more product.
That is crazy Abir-crazy awesome! I’m jumping on it and hoping it works out like the originals. Sephora is very nice about returns with a receipt if it is not. I have a feeling this is going to sell out quick. I just ordered one. As far as the issue of the creams being housed in the same palette, I plan to take a small piece of saran wrap and lay it over them to protect them. Probably secure it up the top with some tape. 🙂
No point in me getting it as I have to original KEVYN AUCOIN The Contour Book The Art of Sculpting + Defining. But i think they heard our complaint on the size of pan and upped the large round ones from 0.08 oz to rectangular 0.14oz of products.
The eyeshadows are the same. lol
I love Kevyn Aucoin stuff. I have the first contouring book but I like that this one has the cream products as the other one only has powder. I hope you review this Christine because this one is sure tempting me.
It looks like a really nice palette, but I wouldn’t have any use for the really dark shades or the creams.
Wow! This one’s even better than the first contour book. The highlighters and contours are full size.
I really hope you review this one Christine. Because it’s such a fantastic deal but only if the quality is the same as the individual products. I hate when palettes give us supposedly the same product but the texture and pigmentation is different.
Whoa! This is an excellent deal, look at how much product it has! Very interested in hearing your thoughts on this palette. And wondering about the practicality of housing cream products with powders, as that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen!
Love this already! What a surprise that I have zero KA product even in my history, other than their mascara. This would be the perfect chance to try them all out at once. I only wonder how much the actual value of this palette is going to be. But no matter what, I need this!!!!
I’ll pass but I’m sure it will sell like hotcakes.
Just ran out of the sculpt powder in my last Kevin Aucoin contour book… glad to see the pans of cheek product look bigger in this one. I was going to fork over for a full size of just the contour powder, because I love it and find I use that palette every day, even on my eyes for a quick complete look… but the creams mixed in with the powders without a cover… especially with the cover just closing with a magnet like the original, and not really sealing in the creams… don’t know how I feel about that
This looks amazing!!! I actually really like the idea of getting cream and powder highlighters in the same palette. I’ve been wanting to give cream a try to attempt to not look so powdery.
Hmmm – I find the contour/sculpturing colours too dark and the eye shadows quite boring. Brown, brown and brown.
I’m wondering if the formula is the same as the permanent products. Some of the permanent powders have parabens listed in their ingredient list but this palette does not.
?
Will you be reviewing this palette?
Wow I’m really surprised that a high end brand like KA has parabens in his formula. That just screams cheap ingredients to me, much like talc in eyeshadow.
So sad that it is limited. ;(
Nice!
I wonder how warm toned the contours are. This with cool contours would be epic
Is this still available to purchase? I can’t find it online or in stores. They only had the tester sitting out. It’s so amazing!!
I am not sure 🙁
