I think both of these sets look like good deals, you get a lot of product for your money. Nice colour selection too. Haven’t tried Kat Von D makeup yet …. wonder what is the quality like?

I want that lipstick set so bad! I’ve been thinking about trying the Painted Love lippes for awhile now so I’m psyched about this. I heard that these are really tiny though, like miniatures but I don’t mind for the price.
I’ve only tried her shadow palettes so far but I love the ones I got- Memento Mori & Beethoven. They have great color payoff, they’re silky and blendable and I love the colors that are included. Some of them look dark or intimidating but are actually more wearable than I expected. I’m impressed!

I like the look of these, but I’m not familiar with the quality of the brand, and I usually hesitate to buy makeup lines by people who are celebrities/ famous for reasons that have nothing to do with cosmetics.

Vijaya Avatar

I actually have most of those lipsticks, so the set probably isn’t worth it. Also, the palette looks dinky, which is a shame because I usually love Kat Von D shadows and their packaging.

Jessica-Lily Avatar

I really like her lipsticks. They’re very long-wearing.
That being said, they can be a bit drying, but the colour payoff is so fantastic that you can deal with it! Underage Red is a perfect colour, same with Lolita!

I bought the painted love on a whim, and I hate it. I’m seriously considering sending it back to Sephora because I hate it so much – the lipsticks are TINY and I don’t like the colors at all.

The lipstick set looks fantastic! I´m an absolute lipstick junkie and love to try lots of different shades! Will it only be available at sephora? Because ther is no sephora where I live… 🙁

bought the lipstick palette on sephora.com a few wks. ago figuring it will be a christmas gift for my daughter and i to share. being older i could go for the mid range and she could do the neutral/red. we will see. this kat lady does apply her makeup well and it suits her with her hair and skin coloring.

Just today I used her Beethoven palette for a look! It was the first thing I ever bought in Sephora, and it’s crazy good quality. I adore her palettes and tried one of her lipsticks (which is now broken…), so I’ll be looking forward to spending money on this 😀

The lipstick sets look pretty nice, but I’d have to try on the colors in person. Knowing me, I’ll probably forget all about it. I must say though, I do love the book packaging. I love books!

Stephanie Avatar

The lipsticks look like it would be gorgeous or at least a great present for the holidays. I’m not sure too sure about the palette. I rather save space in my collections for large palettes that are worth keeping around such as the UD book of shadows

Ekaterina Avatar

The packaging is really cute but I don’t like the idea to put false eyelashes in the palette. I don’t like false eyelashes and I don’t use them.

Jamie Avatar

I really love the packaging but…not Kat Von D so I would pass on this one just because it’s her. Plus I don’t know if any of her makeup is worth the money.

Samantha Avatar

I kind of feel the same way. I bought one of her pallets last year and her saint perfume. The quality is really pretty good and I love the packaging but I don’t think I will support her brand anymore.
I never particularly liked her anyway, I like her style I guess But not her personality and now that she’s with Jesse I like her even less.

Heather Avatar

I don’t know how excited I can get over Kat Von D. I try to ignore the tabloid stuff, but word has it that she’s all about the Nazi stuff … 🙁

HH Avatar

Kat von D isn’t about Nazi stuff! Where did you hear that? I think you may be mixing her up with another tattooed lady who is, but it’s not her. Kat von D is part German and part Latin American.

Kathy Avatar

Too bad I’m on a lipstick no buy right now, because this would be a good way to try out a lot of colors.

I don’t really know much about Kat Von D, but I love her eyeshadow palettes and her perfumes. The Ludwig palette is amazing.

I like how her line focuses on eyes. that’s a really different approach, but all her non-powder eye products (cream shadows and primers) are pretty terrible. It’s so disappointing since her powder shadows are all standouts in color, coordination of palettes, and quality

Christy Avatar

I ordered the lippy collection last week and it arrived today! I can’t wait to get home to try them out. I hear they’re small, but I thought it was a great purchase since it’s my first time trying a KVD product. Besides, I wouldn’t want a full size lipstick if I ended up disliking the shade.

Christina Avatar

I got the Cathedral lipstick as a deluxe sample from Sephora… if it’s the same size as the lipsticks in the set, then they are tiny (a good size for trying out colors, but I don’t think I would spend $28 on the set)!
