Isamaya Wild Star Collection Swatches
is a new, limited edition collection that included an eyeshadow palette and three lipsticks. Here are swatches of the collection! I will say for the price point on the lipsticks ($50!), the packaging, while very unique, lacked the heft/solidness that I would expect at this price point. And yes, the palette is totally reminiscent of Tarte’s palettes!
Looks like they bought up a whole bunch of empty palettes from Tarte, from the days of Aqualillies, Rainforest After Dark, etc., and it using them for their products!
That was my thought as well!
My personal thoughts? After seeing Tarababyz swatch the palette, all I could think of was the Tarte palettes! Also, I strongly suspect that at least a few of the glittery eyeshadows probably have PET glitter in them.
Oh, and after seeing the lipstick case on her channel, the packaging on all of this collection really, it looks CHEAP and tacky for this price point! Just my honest opinion.
I agree. The advertising was also a turn-off–I don’t want to look like a oily, glittered truck stop stripper.
I hear you, Kimberly! The entire overly sexualized aesthetic of this brand is a turn-off for me. And this from someone like myself who wears the glittery “special” shades from Pat McGrath and buys from Nars. But, even I have a line in the sand that I won’t cross.
Packaging aside and based on the swatches, those lipstick do not look like they’re worth anywhere near $50!

I legit thought that the eyeshadow palette was from Tarte! Swatches are pretty! Thanks for sharing!
Tarte, is that you?
Was really curious about this collection because I enjoyed Isamaya’s Industrial palette. I like the sparkly eye shadows but I’m sure I have similar colors already. Maybe if this wasn’t such an expensive collection I would pick up a lip stick or the palette. For now it’s a pass.
For a start – I think the lipsticks are overpriced – the swatches look quite patchy. And yes, the palette arrangement is a straight copy of Tarte’s. As for the colour story, I think it is a bit mixed – love the neutrals of Chaps, Saddle and Romeo, plus the cool toned shade of Spur. It’s the prominent pinks that would put me off.
I’ve had this collection since her pop-up in Nov. I personally love it, despite its flaws. The palette takes me from day-to-night and the lipsticks are comfortable and long wearing for a balm-type lipstick. I have Outlaw and Buck, and they are not patchy. I find them rather unique and wear it often at night. The pigments work well over any lipstick. The packaging is cheap, but it’s undeniably fun.
Promising! Like the color scheme of the palette and Outlaw is nice.
After reading everyone’s comments, look like I need to checkout the brand though .
