Is there a makeup palette that you always go back to?

Is there a makeup palette that you always go back to? If so, which palette?

I like to travel a lot of Urban Decay’s Naked (1) palette as well as Guerlain’s Turandot palette. Those are my two that I keep in my regular drawers for easier access.

i always go back to Jill stuart nude venus palette or sometimes Kanebo Lunasol quads.
Japan eyeshadows are easier to work with when you are in rush..
not very pigmented as guerlain or nars.. So they don’t need to blend much and look really great.
soft and beautiful eyes. easy-go!

Definitely the Urban Decay Naked 1 palette. It’s my ultimate fail proof one. Every shade is flattering on me and I feel I can never go wrong with it.

I’ve also noticed that Too Faced’s Boudoir Eyes, Urban Decay’s Theodora and Stila’s In the Garden are getting there, too.

Naked 1 is my favorite. I use it so much it’s beat up & falling apart. I also use my CD Iridescent Leather quad quite a bit too.

Even though it runs quite warm for me, I get quite a bit of use out of the Naked palette, especially during the summer months. Too Faced’s Natural Eye palette is also a go-to, mainly because it’s a cooler-toned neutral palette.

OH walking on eggshells is my go to as well! actually it was until it got broken to pieces a few weeks ago. I was soooo upset because I have hit pan on all three shades, how weird is that? I have a backup anyways which I have not opened just yet

I’ve created my own custom palettes for Bobbi Brown, MAC, and MUFE and I grab them constantly. The pre-made palettes I grab most would be Lorac Pro palette, Illamasqua Empower and Neutral compacts..

Giorgio Armani’s Neo-Black and Guerlain Liu. When I can’t think of what I want to do, these are sort of idiot-proof for me. (Although I have to admit that I rarely touch the lipsticks in Liu, as nice as they are.) There’s nothing in my collection that gets as much use as these two palettes.

I love Wet ‘n Wild’s Vanity palette. I reach for it all the time. It has the perfect combination of mattes and shimmers. It’s like my mini version of the Naked palette.

This was my first Wet n Wild purchase, and what an introduction! I went back to the supermarket and bought another one. It was similar to the Bobbi Brown warm eye pallet that came out that year, with a softer texture
I bought another from that series, with peach tones and blacks. That I also love. I never got a second of that
Too bad they’re not available anymore

Hmmmm – tough one. The Guerlain Les Fumes quad is one I can always rely on to look great but it doesn’t have a colour light enough to be a highlighter so I always have to use another shadow or shade in a palette. While not really a palette, the MAC quad I put together with All that Glitters, Blanc Type, Mulch and Charcoal Brown is “an old reliable”. And the Naked2 palette is a real winner for me.

I usually take my Z Palette that I have created with MAC and Makeup Geek Neutral shadows because I know I’ll always have favorites with me when I travel. Sometimes I’ll even take a few out of the larger Z Palette and put them in the small one if I have limited space. I find I don’t use colors from pre-made palettes, so I made my own dream nude-palette 🙂

Urban Decay Naked Basics is my personal favorite 😛 it’s small, and I love matte eyeshadows, so it’s perfect for traveling. I also love my Tarte Aqualillies face palette and tend to always have it in my bag when I travel.

I have a LOT of palettes, and love both the UD Nakeds – and I have the Lorac Ooh La Lace Baked, which I love. But back in June, I purchased the MAKE UP FOR EVER Technicolor Palette – an equal mix of bright colors and neutrals, and I reach for it a LOT. Seriously, it has a black and a white, a brown and a cream/beige, and then yellow, green, blue, and pinky-purple. A couple of a SLIGHT shimmer, but they are mostly matte (and i’m 49, so I’m not much for sparkle). I just think it’s VERY multi-purpose and depending on my eyeliner choice, I can really make it work a lot of different ways!

In addition to UD Naked (1), Tarte Amazonian Escape is great for travel. It has 6 nice eyeshadows and 2 blushes (Exposed, which is a natural pink, and a Coral color). I’ve never had a look come out badly with either palette.

Cat G Avatar

Not really! I don’t like to use anything more than anything else, so I go through rotations. Maybe I haven’t found THE palette yet but then again maybe it’s okay if I never do. I enjoy variety!

Danielle Avatar

My most used palettes are the UD Naked and my MAC palettes. But I do also try and get use out of my BH Cosmetics palettes because I have so many, but they aren’t as easy to travel with because they are so huge.

I keep a bag with “go-to” products when I’m lazy or in a rush, but I wouldn’t say I use them any more than other palettes. In that bag are UD Naked, Naked 2, Naked Basics, and Revlon Pure Pearl, which is a single & my usual highlight shade. I also grab this bag when I travel, just in case I forget anything, since I also keep the things I use almost every day in there.

Also, since I bought KvD Ladybird, my other KvD palettes have gotten more use.

Too faced Natural at Night, Naked 1, and Balm Jovi are my favorites, hands down. I use them all so much and would rebuy any of them.

My Urban Decay Naked Palette #1 it’s idiot proof but I’m starting to use Kat Von D’s Beethoven Palette because I love pops of color and I just fill in my SMALL asian eyelids (so I can just wear any color but if I do smokey eye that is a whole other story where with my eyelids and eyebrows smokey eye can make me look like a trap and an abused person).

Xero Avatar

95% of the time I don’t do anything fancier than a wash of color or eyeliner so I’m not much for palettes. Out of all of the palettes I do own though, Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshells has gotten the most use, followed by Comfort Zone and Sweet As Candy.

Erica Avatar

I rotate between my customized Mac palette (favorite), UD Naked (1) and Wet n’ Wild Knock On Wood this summer. I did a major Nars haul this Spring and Summer and bought a few duo eyeshadow kits. Nars should create a palette to store all their single and duos.

Marina Avatar

Urban Decay’s Naked 2 palette is just my favorite. I force myself to put it down and use other makeup. I prefer it to the original.

Tori Avatar

Serge Lutens’s original palette, LMdB’s Melange de Colour and Chanel’s Kaska Beige, Raffinement and Topkaki. I’ve taken to travelling with just the first two plus NARS’s Night Breed single and all my makeup needs have been covered so far. 🙂

Nars And God Created the Woman e/s palette, this is the perfect neutral palette for me. I also have a Napoleon Perdis eyeshadow palette that I go to, it’s pretty old the colors are are a very pretty blue, purple, silvery white and a gorgeous matte black. The black is the main reason I keep it, haven’t found one as good yet.

Geneva Avatar

I also go to my own custom palettes by MAC for e/s. I purchased a refillable lipstick palette from Sephora a couple of years ago that I’ve depotted my favorite lipsticks into. I keep that in my makeup bag along with my Nars e/s palette.

Anna Avatar

My all time favorite and go to palette is the MAC Cult of Cherry Shadowy Lady Quad! I am so in LOVE with Smudged Violet! I wish they would bring that shade back!!! It truly makes up for Shadowy Lady which I find very hard to work with…

Kady Avatar

I keep using Urban Decay’s Ammo palette a lot. I like most of my eyeshadow palettes but that’s the one I always find myself using the most often. If I had one of the Naked palettes then that would probably replace Ammo.
