Illamasqua Poke Nail Varnish
Illamasqua Poke Nail Varnish
Illamasqua Poke Nail Varnish ($14.00 for 0.5 fl. oz.) is described as a “bright violet purple” and has a shimmer finish. It’s a vibrant violet with a hint of fuchsia both in the base color as well as in the shimmer. The formula was a dream to work with–so pigmented it was nearly opaque in a single coat. It spread evenly across the nail, and the consistency was right on the money, because it wasn’t too thick or thin. I typically get a week’s worth of wear out of Illamasqua’s nail polishes.
I couldn’t think of any really similar shades! The closest I could come up with was Illamasqua Jo’mina, which has a similar brightness but lacks shimmer and is less pink.

Absolutely stunning. Breathtaking. I need this!
I love Illamasqua nail color. This is definitely going on my to buy list during Sephora’s FF 2011.
WOW! This is absolutely gorgeous! I think I need to go order this right now!
Very pretty purple!
Thats a gorgeous color. And is it wierd that i am so used to looking at diff parts of yr body that i notice yr nails loking longer than usual?
This is a gorgeous color! I actually don’t own any Illamasqua polishes, but this one goes to the top of my list!
sold!
This color is fantastic!! I love that it has a bit of pearly shimmer – perfect for those who like cremes but want something more interesting AND those who like shimmers but want something more muted
Gorgeous purple. I’m going to get this one for sure!
Hmm, I’m not a fan of shimmer, so I’d choose Jo’mina over this. 🙂
What a gorgeous purple! I think it’s great that Illamasqua seems to come out with so many unique shades. I haven’t tried any of their products, but I think it’s time I start.
How on earth do you always have such a perfect manicure? Do you use a corrector pen after putting the polish on? I was also curious what you use on your nails to keep them so healthy? I know you post polish reviews alot and it seems like the constant removal and re-polishing would damage your nails and yet yours always look so healthy and perfect.
I guess I need to stop drinking so much coffee before painting my nails because I always end up with polish all over the place and half the time I make such a mess that I end up removing the polish and just going bare.

This is so pretty! Want.
If you think Illamasqua’s formula is great you should try A-England – it literally applies itself!
I’m in love with this colour, it is so beautiful!!
That color is absolutely gorgeous. I wish a lipstick came in this color!
Christine, what do you use to keep your manicures from chipping?
I use Zoya’s Color Lock System.
Wow! What a beautiful color…and it seems to me that bright grapey-blue-purple is so hard to find! This looks like the nailpolish version of Urban Decay Ransom Deluxe Eyeshadow. Looks fabulous. 🙂
WANT!!!! 😀 Thanks for posting this, I’ve been on the edge with this one, but your pics have tipped the balance! As soon as it is available on Sephora.com, I will be picking it up! 🙂
Wow that is really, really gorgeous.!
Looks very similar to RBL Scrangie, at least in that last picture– purple with a strong teal flash.
I thought the same thing when I saw the last photo!
Such a beautiful colour! I with I could find Illamasqua in Canada.
My, my, what a beautiful purple nail polish!
Gorgeous!
I need to find somewhere in Canada to get illamasqua.
I’m always so impressed by how their products look, and I’m just dying to try them.
How do you feel like this compares to Coconut Kiss by China Glaze? Thanks Christine! This is a beautiful color. 🙂
wow thats one mighty off-centre label LOL
beautiful colour though!! wish they sold illamasqua near me!
It’s stunning! O.O why, why Illamasqua polishes are so wonderful? (and aren’t available in Italy??? [banghead] )
