Illamasqua Creep Eyeshadow Review, Photos, Swatches
Illamasqua Creep Eyeshadow
Illamasqua Creep Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “soft lavender purple.” It’s a light-medium lavender purple with cool undertones and a matte finish. There are several lavender eyeshadows that I’ve come across, but I haven’t seen anything this cool-toned. The closest shade I could think of was MAC Water & Ice #2 which is more silvered and very frosted.
Creep had decent to good color payoff, but it didn’t yield full, opaque color. The texture was very soft and finely-milled, but it was noticeably powdery, so it was prone to sheering out during application and tended to fade while worn. Because the powderiness, it would work better over a slightly creamy or tacky base, because it would give the powder something to adhere to, so it would appear more pigmented and wear better. It lasted six hours well but looked significantly faded after eight hours of wear.

That’s a beautiful shade if it didn’t look so powdery!
When I initially saw the swatch, I immediately thought of NARS Jolie Poupee, but when I swatched JP I saw it was a bit darker. Still, it may be a nice alternative, as the pigmentation & texture are better, and for those who need their pastels to be a bit richer.
Looks so beautiful in the pan! (reminds me of Lime Crime Ribbonesque, which I love). Really wish it had better performance. :/
Not a fan of this shade.
Reminds me of MAC’s “Her Alter Image.”
Ooh, the swatch looks lovely but I hate eyeshadows that are hard work – especially when they’re as expensive as Illamasqua. Might have to check it out next time I’m in their store to see how I get on with it, it is a lovely colour.
This is a very pretty color! I’m impressed.
I’m not a big fan of the color and the sheerness… ugh
I love my lavender/ purple shadows but this one seems a little to sheer to me. How does it compare to Can Can from Illamasqua or Asphyxia from UD? Thank you!
Both are warmer – more red-toned!
