Still Time for Neon Nails

Illamasqua Collide Nail Varnish ($14.00 for 0.5 fl. oz.) is a wicked neon pink cream that’s opaque in just about two coats (which is what is pictured), but you could easily get away with three coats or do two thicker coats.  The formula is so smooth and the color applies evenly and richly; there is no streaking on the first coat, just a smooth, even layer of color.  Wear is fantastic with just minor tip wear after about a week!

This rounds up the last of Illamasqua’s varnish I have to review at the moment — what are your favorite varnishes from Illamasqua’s line up? So I can keep a running list of what I might want to try next! 🙂

I’m positively obsessed with Illamasqua nail varnishes ever since I picked up Rampage in London last year. Beautiful dark green – very unusual colour.

LOVE the entire Pastel Nails spring collection.

Muse is this gorgeous teal/blue with muted grey undertones – it’s just so hard to describe. Very unusual and incredibly beautiful colour. Great formula too, lasts about a week with no chipping at all.

Milf is a fantastic pastel green. Never seen a colour quite like it.

All three nail varnishes from the current Body Electrics collection are brilliant. Jo’Mina (Electric Lilac) and Force (Deep Electric Blue) are great on their own but if you add a coat of Prism which is an iridescent blue, they practically shine from within. No kidding here.

Bosh is a pure black – totally opaque in one coat and lasts forever it seems.

Just ordered Lament and Phallic. Can’t wait to try those. 🙂

WHOA that is bright! MY mom is really addicted to neon bright polish on her toes. Maybe I’ll snag this for a gift for her and save it for the holidays. I need to go look for the review for Lament – that looks nice too!

hi, i was just wondering if you had any tip about painting your nails, i seem to be really bad at it ahah, as well do you use a base coat and a top coat? if so which ones because i just painted my nails and they started to chip the day after i painted them and im using china glaze nail polish.

Hi Christine! I was wondering if you applied a basecoat and topcoat, and if so what did you use? Or was it just two coats of the color that lasted the whole week with minimal chipping?

hey Christine kind of off topic, but, your nail shape is so pretty, how do you file them? Or do anything specific to get that shape?? Weird question I know 🙂
