If you could only use one category of makeup, what would you choose?
Eyeshadow. It was my first love, and it would be a terrible time to not be able to use… all the things, but eyeshadow.

If I wanted to be practical, I’d say concealer or mascara because those are the things that make the biggest difference in how nice I look. On the other hand, I’ve recently had some eczema on my eyelids and this (hopefully temporary) time of not using eye shadow has made me sad. Eye shadow is the part of makeup that brings me the most joy. <3
Lipstick.
Me too. I am sucker for a lippie.
I love eyeshadow and could do my whole face with shadow. But Iโve been on a cream face product kick, and powder would feel dry on my face.
Hmm.
Iโm going with stick foundation. I can contour and bronze highlight and even get blush in with sticks of different hues. I havenโt tried it on my eyelids but I could make it work. And my face will be happier for the cream texture.
Eyeliner because I can use it as a liner and also as a smoked out shadow. Wonderful that we have lots of colour choices in this category.. when I was much younger there was black/brown/blue and sometimes purple.
It would probably be blush. Eyeshadow looks off without other products like mascara. Blush though would brighten my face and give me a a glow which would make happy even in the absence of everything else!
Easy.
Cream/liquid base products for sure. If my complexion looks radiant and smooth–that’s about 90% of how confident I feel.
I go almost no where without mascara, but I could get extensions or wear falsies, if I had to.
Concealer, fโsure. For color, liner. I empathize with Lizzie, as I have a type of psoriasis that presumably has no cause/no cure. It invaded my face, spreading there from my neck. Aged me 20 years in less than 3-4. The seborrheic dermatitis in my left eyebrow is nothing, comparatively. On my body, itโs the gift that keeps on giving, hundreds of types of pain, mostly being stuck by pins or clusters of pins. Like herpetic neuralgia, itโs very entrenched. Iโm LUCKY that mask season has been upon us!
I’m going to cheat and say brow mascara. 9 times out of 10 all I’m wearing is mascara and brow pencil, so I could probably use a dark brow mascara for my lashes.
Blasphemy! Perish the thought!
I would say liquid foundation. I have not gotten over my severe acne, which started before I hit my teens, so having a relatively smooth and even complexion is really important for me. My teal eyeglasses will serve as eye makeup.
I need at least a concealer, mascara and a brow gel, I can’t choose only one category. ๐
But forced, I would definitely choose complexion products, especially a good concealer (which I can use as foundation) that doesn’t need setting.
Come to think, if it’s just one category and I’m allowed multiple shades… I can use darker shades to bronze/contour, use on my lids and why not… Even on my brows. ๐
Before COVID I would have said lipstick. But now eyeshadow all day everyday.
Eyeshadow. It’s my love, and I could do my whole face with it. I can even make it into mascara. I need one “cheat,” though: Eyeshadow primer. Otherwise, it’s not staying on my lids.
What sort of question is this! I cannot even begin to answer it. I’m with Pearl โฌ๏ธ
So, we’re back in that living hell where these impossible situations exist? As much as I NEED concealer and some colour on my lips and cheeks, for me too it would be eyeshadow (heck, if there are some red or pink shades in the palette, I could use them for cheeks and lips if I had to!).
Blush. It just lifts my face.
Lipsticks/lip glosses. I have a ton of lip products since they are my favorite makeup product, portable, and easy to use. I wore lip gloss this week- the first time since March 2020. Since most of us are vaccinated at work, some of us are slowly going maskless in certain work situations. My newer coworkers have never seen me without a mask until this week and they reeaaalllyyy noticed the lip products too, lol.
Lipstick really brightens my face, but equal second to that liquid foundation, eye brow pencil and eyeshadow.
It would have to be mascara. It makes a whole lot of difference if my eyes are framed with long lashes.
Easy, hands down, eyeshadow. I could use neutral mattes for concealer/foundation/etc., especially if I mixed it with face lotion to make “creams”. Pinks/peaches for blush; bronze/light brown for contouring; darker colors to make mascara/eyebrow tint; red mixed with petroleum jelly and I have a lippie…pretty sure that covers everything. ๐
Lipstick, sunscreen.
Lipstick and a pair of sun glasses. If I can take one more product that’d be mascara, eyeshadow comes in as third, primer included, I hope.
At first I thought–concealer, but after reading further…eyeshadow. Black with water for eyeliner, and I already mix eyeshadows for brow color, and very fair beige for the “age spots” I got from radiation. Yep, easy-peasy!
For me itโs not what I like but what I need. And that would be mascara. Blush would be second. I look dead without blush.
Eyeliner – definitely.
