Huda Beauty Neon Pink Neon Obsessions Palette ($29.00 for 0.45 oz.) is a mix of mattes and shimmers across lavender and pink hues. There were warmer, almost coral-leaning pinks paired with richer fuchsia and magenta pinks. The colors come together well, and the subtle differences in tone and depth make the shades blend seamlessly. I think you can get a few different looks out of the palette, but it would benefit from a complementary palette for extended use.

About This Series

Each look idea is centered around a “quad” of four shades with the expectation that one might bring in the appropriate brow bone or additional transitional shade based on skin tone. I know that I tend to use more like five or six shades in a typical look, but I think that four is a happy medium to give a good idea of the “core” color scheme of a look while giving you the ability to lighten/darken as desired. I have listed the colors in this order: inner lid, middle of lid, outer lid/crease, and crease/above crease.

You might see combinations that seem slightly repeated but placement will vary (e.g. a halo placement where the lightest and more shimmery shade is placed on the center) as placement can also create a different effect/look! You might also want to consider incorporating your favorite matte/shimmer shades (as applicable) to increase the versatility of certain palettes. Consider these ideas a jumping off point!

My opinion on this palette is changing somewhat. I felt I didn’t need it, but currently I’m looking at it retrospectively and thinking,, yeah, this could add fun bursts of colour to my collection. I was looking for one of these shades in my stash today with my eye look (neon pink 7). Could also be that my hair is pink with pale lavender ends and I’m getting all matchy matchy. I liked the citrusy combo of the other palette for its uniqueness, but I wasn’t entirely blown away by the performance and didn’t see it as something I would reach for often. Torn. I have the Amethyst palette and I rarely reach for it and that’s a cooler pinky purple palette too. Does anyone have this palette and love it and also love muted neutrals. Asking for a friend.

Am I the only one looking at the Recent Reviews box on the sidebar and thinking that these Huda Neon Pink looks-especially 1.0-would work well with Sephora Lipstories Offshore? I just think burgundy would make a really pretty contrast to the neon pinks.
