How long do cheek products typically wear for you? Is that long enough?
Powder-based cheek products tend to last around (decently before kind of breaking down / more apparent that there’s been wear) eight hours without additional prep/priming, while liquids/creams are similar but can sometimes get closer to 10 hours depending on formula. Plenty long for me, though.
These days, I almost exclusively use Clinique Cheek Pops, and they usually last pretty well, but I apply blush very lightly, so sometimes it fades by the end of the work day.
Clinique Cheek Pops are fabulous and they’re one of the few blush formulas I have in multiple shades!
Same here! I have four of them, plus a palette of four full-size shades that came out a few years ago for the holidays.
I almost always use powder blush and it lasts through my work day (though I do tend to lean my cheek on my hand or touch my face so that causes some wear that isn’t the fault of the product).
I don’t really need a long lasting blush these days but I find that most of my blushes last a good 8-10 hours without fading. I use a pretty light hand unless I am taking photos and that combined with my super pale skin, results in a blush that shows up really well but doesn’t look too “makeupy”. I really love making up new words! For the majority of my makeup wearing life, I have layered at least two blushes whenever I am wearing blush. It was always powder blushes before but now I like using a cream and then adding a powder on top.
Almost ALWAYS until I remove my face products at the end of the day with at worst just some minimal fading. Probably due to my tendency to only use very long-wearing base products and primer underneath. Plus I use a setting mist once I’m all done.
I’m good with that!
I am not really a “cheek” person, so personally I don’t mind if my blush / contour / bronzer fades towards the end of the day. But usually my skin doesn’t “eat” cheek powders, the minimum I apply stays put all day.
I usually get 6-8 hours of wear from a powder and 4-5 hours from most creams and liquids. Rare Beauty’s liquid blush is the exception as it would last until the next morning if I didn’t take it off at night lol!
I always use powder blush or bronzer, over a layer of moisturizer and moisturizer-blended-with-foundation. That gives the powder blush or bronzer something to adhere to, and it looks good the rest of the day.
I don’t use liquid or cream blushes or bronzers as they’re too difficult for me to apply so that they look good when I’m done and also later. And they wear off quickly.
Most, if not all, of the cheek products last about 4-5 hours on me – on top of foundation with a covering of cheek powder. And no, it is not long enough for me!
I think my cheek products are pretty m faded by the end of the day, but I don’t really notice or mind by that point.
