We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

First of all, I would say that it would be nice to see a description. I am amazed at how many brands don’t give you a description. I have looked at brands that have 25 shades of a lipstick and 10 of them look similar and there is no description. I find this to be particularly true with lighter, more neutral shades. Please tell me if the red is a classic blue toned, warmer and more tomato or leans more brown. Now, I understand that undertone in skin, shading on the eyes and more pigmented lips will affect the look of the lipstick and may make it appear different on my lips but at least make the effort. Then all that Christine said.
I am hoping that Christine will allow me to usurp part of this question to ask a question of my own. It is makeup related so not totally out in left field. I have recently come to realize that I have no color theory or ability to see what colors are going to work together and enhance my shade selections. For instance, today I am using the Dior e/s quad that I purchased last week, (side note, I love it.). When my eyes were done I went to put on my blush and lipstick and after I applied and looked in the mirror, it looked nice but the overall look didn’t wow me. I look at makeup by influencer’s, makeup artists and there looks always appear cohesive and the right pairing just leaves the viewer with the impression of stunning makeup. How do you know and decide what shades to pair together? I think it is more than just undertone because I have seen warm looks with cool lips and cheeks and vice versa. I can’t go through my 150 lipsticks to try each one to see how it looks!! Any advice would be welcome. It is likely too late for me to take color theory classes, LOL!!
I know the feeling. I sometime know exactly the lipstick I’m going to wear, do all the makeup just to find that the lipstick makes everything look wrong. That’s when I try up to some 20 or even more lipsticks, and settle for a gloss. 😀
Maybe a colour wheel could help. There are also some, a lot of, colour theory videos on You Tube.
Maybe you can try swatching all the colour makeup, eyeshadows, liner, blush and lipstick on the hand first.
It is one of the many things that I marvel about Christine’s makeup application. When she would do eye looks and post a full face picture, everything just looked exactly right. I would write down her whole look so that if I could find similar shades, I could pair them together. It is a real talent. You are right, a color wheel would likely help me. How are you feeling, Helene? I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season and that you are going to start to feel better soon.
I agree, Christine is really excellent at putting colours together.
Thanks for asking, I had my surgery day before yesterday, on the 27th. Strangely I feel quite OK, not much pain at all, the worst is upward to the left clavicula and toward the sternum, the pain is a bit lesser to the side of the body.
I do get why the pain is worse where it is, having worked for years in the operation theatre.
I did take a walk with the dog today, and have decided to take the stronger painkiller just for the night, Paracetamol will be enough during daytime unless of course it really starts hurting, but I see no reason why it should,
Thanks so much for thinking of me!
I hope you and your daughter had a lovely time over Christmas, and I hope you’ll have a fun New Years Eve!
All that, plus, please provide CLEAR and OPEN information concerning whether their is fragrance or common allergens!
No one ought to be stricken with severe allergic conjunctivitis due to a brand adding sodium saccharine to EYESHADOWS without something like: Warning, this product contains Sulfa.
(Obviously, this ought to apply to any common allergen like wheat gluten, etc.)
I too wish color descriptions, undertones AND swatches were mandatory!
Yes to that!
I wish they would list if product is cool, warm or neutral.
