Gasping at the price. I do like that deep blue pink shade. I wish they had provided swatches of the other new shades, not just the LE Valentines edition. I do not own any of the original in this formula. Does anyone have any anecdotal.. I think this would be something where I might purchase a single shade. I like the idea of refill if I truly nailed the correct pick.

Holy Moly – how expensive are these? And for lipsticks that I think would easily break in the heat. Apart from that, the holder looks, well, like a bit of a weapon…..
I think the brand has lost the plot here.
The only shade I like is Tawny Brick and I can’t wait to see the dupes for it.

Ok, I did a little math out of curiosity. These lipsticks sell for $36 for .03 ounces of product (in the full packaging). Chanel Rouge Coco lipsticks sell for $38 for .12 ounces. That means the Hourglass lipstick is four times more expensive than the Chanel! As much as I’d love to have a lipstick in the luxurious Hourglass packaging, I just can’t bring myself to pay THAT much money for so little lipstick.

I have a decent amount of these, and they are really beautiful lipsticks. They last a long time given they’re a traditional formula, and they’re very comfortable. This pack is especially expensive because it includes two of the components. They will often released 2 lipsticks/1 component at a more reasonable price, and I’ve bought those. I will not be playing along this year, but I do love the lipsticks and am happy to see a shade extension. If you buy one component and don’t have an issue changing them out, you can just get the refills for $22, which is only bad considering how small they are. I don’t typically get through average sized lipsticks, so I haven’t run up against that issue here either.

I love both of these colors and was about to add it to my never ending list of products to purchase when I saw that price… ugh, I am gagging on that price-point, there is zero justification for that cost for .06oz of product! That is more expensive than Chanel, Dior, Guerlain, By Terry, even Christian Louboutin! Hourglass sometimes irritates me this way, it feels like they are making things expensive just for being expensive’s sake.
