Hit List: Easiest Liquid Eyeliner

What’s the Easiest Liquid Eyeliner that you’ve tried?

Share your pick!  And don’t forget to share why 🙂

Tom Ford’s is probably the easiest I’ve used. I also like MAC’s Superslick and Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Liners.

Thanks to Kat for today’s topic!

My liquid liner skills aren’t that great, but Lorac Front of the Line Pro is very easy to work because it has a very firm brush (no slipping and sliding around), with a tapered, flexible tip that allows you to get very close to your lash line. And it stays on really well, too.

This is a bit of a cheat, but the easiest way for me to get a liquid liner look is with a cake eyeliner, mixing liquid, and a skinny brush. I like La Femme cake liners because they’re super inexpensive and come in lots of colors. Laura Mercier makes them too.

I just got the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and I am loving it! It’s even blacker than I expected and the tip is made of real brush bristles so you have so much control and can make really thin lines. I suck at liquid liner but this has been a huge game changer for me, would definitely recommend it 🙂

Maybe it’s because I’ve been using L’Oréal Lineur Intense for over 25 years, and keep going back to it, but it’s the one I grab when I want something quick & simple. The brush is a bit thick & floppy for really crisp, clean wings (although doable!), I’m just so used to it that it’s very easy to work with. Plus, it dries rather quickly, and doesn’t flake!

Might be an unpopular opinion but… i absolutely despise the Makeup Forever Aqua Liner in 13 (black). I tried using it and its so watery, when I draw the line the pen always makes a dent in my eyeliner and I can see my eyelid poking through it. Also, the formula causes a stinging sensation on my eyelid, and I’m not particularly sensitive to eye make up either. Absolutely horrid. Also, it flakes terribly when I take it off, clings to my lids and causes more pain that way.

I really like the Maybelline Hypersharp Liner in Intense Black. The tip is so soft, it draws a smooth, even line, and it never causes me problems. Also, it’s super easy to take off with make up remover.

Guerlain liquid eyeliner. Hands down it’s the smoothest at applying a line, and the darkest, most solid. I love liquid eyeliner and have tried so many of them. This one gives me the solid, smooth and satin finish line I prefer. One caveat: I’m not a subtle woman, and hate makeup on waterlines, so this recommendation might be useless for those purposes.

Haha! Oxymoron. I absolutely suck at liquid eyeliner (although in recent years I’ve somehow mastered gel), but if I were forced to pick the lesser of evils, I’d pick Urban Decay’s 24/7.

I prefer the pen style liners. I currently have a Boots No.7 one but I think it’s dried up somewhat.

I loved my Shiseido Automatic Fine Eyeliner pen, the one you bought refills for, but they discontinued it ages ago. Rather than a sharp felt tip it had more more of a soft brush style tip. I still have the pen and I’m wondering if the refill for the Shu Uemura pen would fit it. I haven’t even tried the Shu Uemura one so maybe I should check it out to see if it’s similar. If it is I can see myself forking out for it.
