MAC Matte 2. I wish they would expand the colour assortment. I don’t have access to Inglot where I live so can’t compare it to Matte 2 but the latter are so good.

MAC Matte2 and MUFE. Inglot’s also look great, but I’ve never tried those, so can’t include those until I try for myself.

I need matte shadows to be smooth, creamy, and pigmented. I hate dry, splotchy, dull mattes!

ok i dont know why people love inglot mattes. they are horrible! they are super powdery (i have several shades), blend into nothing so by the time u are done blending, its all disappeared and faded. the best matte formula is mac matte2 and mufe mattes

its a tie between MAC’s Matte/Matte2 and Inglot’s Matte formula. MAC has the slight edge because i find Inglot’s matte eyeshadows to be a bit too powdery for my liking.

I haven’t tried several of the lines others have mentioned (like Inglot – no store near me, and I like to see things before I order them), but Stila is on par with Urban Decay – comparing the mattes in Stila’s In The Light with both the Naked palettes, some shades are better than others, but both lines’ mattes range from above average to out of this world.

And most of NYX’s mattes are spectacular. Unfortunately, they have a few duds (my “White” single is chalky and barely pigmented) that bring down the line overall. But most of them are terrific.

I’m not a big fan of matte eyeshadows, but I do really like Naked and Buck in my Naked Palette. They’re pigmented, buttery soft, and easy to blend instead of dry and chalky.

I’m quite fond of theBalm’s Meet Matt(e) palette. The one let down on the palette was the pink color, which is unfortunately a large part of why I bought it. The search continues on!

Sugarpill and Inglot… some Inglot mattes do tend to be overly powdery but overall they are quite good and there’s a very wide colour selection. I think Sugarpill’s formula is better but there’s a pretty limited range of colours so far.

I have nothing but good things to say about Too Faced: the mattes are well-pigmented, blendable, creamy almost, and lasting. I’ve never tried MUFE or Inglot (and will eventually) but Too Faced has been fantastic and I keep coming back for more!!

Another vote for INGLOT! In fact, I was never really a fan of mattes until I tried theirs – very buttery, smooth, intense color and easy to blend. I absolutely LOVE them. MAC’s Matte2 formula runs second. Very good as well.

Hi guys, I love mattes so I’ve bookmarked this post.

I love the Matte2 formula. Do you guys know of better-textured or longer-lasting or better-quality versions (any brand) of:
1) MAC Wedge (for my crease)
2) MAC Brule (for my highlight or an all-over lid colour)

Does anyone have a favourite matte navy?

Do you think Inglot or MUFE eyeshadows are better than MAC Matte2? Or does it depend on the colour?

Finally does anyone know if MAC Blanc Type and Inglot #355 are “dupes”? I’ve been looking at the Temptalia Swatch index, but would like your opinion. And, between the two, which do you prefer?

Thanks so much in advance for your help, my fellow matte-lovers 🙂

I vote Inglot for sure, and they also have an edge over Sugarpill and MAC because their shade range is just so huge. I never liked matte eyeshadows until I started using Inglot. 🙂
