I have oily combo skin and find the staying power of the Revlon Photoready Cream Blush to be excellent. I’m a recent cream blush convert, finding that powders were quickly eviscerated on my shiny cheeks- sticking well upon application, but disappearing very quickly. With a cream blush, I get a nice natural blend with longevity. Not oily-looking, but glowy and pleasant. I have the Revlon Photoready in the bright fuschia color (which blends in very gently with my light skin), and would like the coral reef one next.
And can I say my dream cream blush would be the Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee in Poppy Paradise! I have been coveting it for ages but live nowhere near a Sephora, and would like to try it first.
Any of The Balm’s blushes (particularly their Instain blush) as well as Tarte Amazonian Clay blush!! These blushes stay on for a long time and are pigmented.
Those were my two exact pics, the plus of both is that they don’t break me out either!
I think the best blushes for ANY skin type are those from Tarte (the Amazonian clay ones). I’ve tried TheBalm’s Instain blush in-store and was amazed by it. Problem is the lighting in the only store that sells it is so bad that almost all the shades look the same and I’ve no idea which one to get. I need to go back, put it on my cheeks and then check the look when I get home or back to my car.
For high-end brands, I like NARS Mata Hari, great staying power even on my oily combination skin, lasts me the whole work day. For the more affordable range, I like Nature Republic’s Shine Blossom Rose Blusher series, they’ve pretty light colors that are buildable and lasts me 7-8 hours.
illamasqua blushes! i’d recommend excite, tweak, and thrust
I have an all over super oily skin. A mac blush fades away on my skin in just a few hours, nars oxidizes and fades in about four hours, chanel and ysl last about 6 hours but also change color. The longest lasting blushes i have used are tom ford and tarte amazonian clay, my favorite is the tom ford. Tom ford blushes stay the same color and don’t fade for 12 or more hours. They also don’t make my skin look oilier than it already is. The tarte ones are also very long lasting but i don’t wear them anymore because they cause me serious acne breakouts.
I love the smashbox blush rush– they last all day & chiffon is usually my go to everyday blush!
I have oily skin but I don’t really look for certain types of blushes. Powders, creams, liquids, minerals, I use them all. What I do pay attention to is that the blush doesn’t contain any (or too much) shimmer, because that tends to emphasize large pores and makes me look even shinier. So I always go for matte.
Tarte amazonian clay blushes, they are amamzing. Specially tipsy.
I’d have to agree with the others – Tarte. I think something in that formula that seems chalky upon application bonds well with the oils of my skin. I got my first one last Christmas and wore it that day and it lasted all day, through the night even in the hot tub! Benetint, and Cha Cha tint (stains) work great as well because they don’t come off.
I don’t have problems with blush moving around or changing color, its just that I have to blot and touch up all damn day and most blushes are gone by mid-afternoon!

KIMRYAN8 you said exactly what I was going to say…Tarte and Benetinit/Cha Cha tint! Those are the only blushes/stains that last on me.
Jessica – sweet! We have the same skin then! Have you tried any of the Balm’s Instains?
Taste lasts quite awhile. Layering over a cream works with my NARS powder blushes as well.
I have a few of these blushes in my stash and I am noticing they are really truly hardcore budge proof through this insane heatwave we are experiencing. Estee Lauder Pure Color blushes. Grab a few. They are a really great value. Even though this blush addict loves my Nars, Chanel Joues, TF, Illamasqua, these EL blushes have definitely earned my respect. They are wickedly pigmented..a very little goes a long way. The powder itself is very fine and the texture is similar to that almost creamy texture you feel with some powder eyeshadows. Serious staying power. Caveat: I always wear primer on my face.
I bought quite a few of those actually, and I agree with you. They’re insanely pigmented, but so easy to blend. 🙂
I’ll third this one. But.. While the Estee Lauder blushes are HEAVILY pigmented and pretty for the first hour or so, they do oxidize terribly on me and change color by the end of the day.
I haven’t had that happen, but the tones I own are very neutral and more on the natural side so I haven’t noticed any oxidation issues. Their only downfall in my mind: they just are not as sophisticated and nuanced as some of my other blush favs. Still, lasting power is incredible and I also agree with Precious..they are super blendable. 🙂

Yep! I’ve accepted that I have permanantly chipped nail polish on my index finger from opening the blush.
I love the blush I have, but find the packaging ugly and clunky – I know it’s a silly thing to irritate me, but I wish I had opted for a dupe instead.

Been wanting to try the EL blushes. I get so sidetracked by their eyeshadow sets – am really liking EL these days. I’ll stay committed to checking out their blushes the next time I feel the need for blush (my favorite type of makeup).

Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes! Although they’re pigmented most of the colors are buildable; I don’t have to pack on alot just to make it last all day. I can attest to the fact they last on an oily face in Texas summer weather!
I have combination-oily skin and these are some of my favorites: Bobbi Brown Shimmer Blush, Estee Lauder Pure Color Blush, Laura Mercier Illuminating Powder Quad, NARS Powder Blush, and Tom Ford Cheek Color. 🙂
Absolutely Tom Ford has amazing lasting power too! Everyone has such a hate on for TF products because of the price. I get that. But the blushes really are sublime…nuanced, slightly glowy..just gorgeous
They’re quite expensive, but shouldn’t we also consider quality? 🙂 Tom Ford’s blushes are the bomb!
I am oily skin.
I think NARS does last long on my skin.
But I like to use Chanel’s…It is more natural looking and glowing.
But Nars is a good choice.

My super oil skin required either a lip/cheek stain like Benefit Benetint or a very pigmented powder. The stain usually lasted longer. Now my skin is more combo oily so I have more options but I’d probably not try a cream unless I was going to be indoors all the time.
Maybe I’m crazy, but I adore Mac’s Pro Longwear blush in Blush All Day. It gives me a “sunburnt in a good way” look and lasts on my cheeks in the heat. I also love TheBalm’s Down Boy and Sleek’s Suede.
I’ve got hella oily skin. Cream + powder combo is usually the way to go for me, but when all I have time for is powder, Edward Bess’s Blush Imperiale is one of the best (also Rock & Republic’s blushes–wish they’d bring those back). Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush is the best powder blush for staying power, but it also breaks me out.
Hands down the new Chanel cream blushes. Those things are insanely pigmented and bulletproof. They don’t budge. My oily face usually absorbs blushes by mid-day, but these stay put. Love them!
I’ve just fallen in love with Benefit’s Posie Tint! I got it in the 3-pack at Sephora that also included Sun Beam and Cha Cha Tint. It’s just such a cute pink that comes across as a natural and fresh look!
Tons of you have already noted Tarte, my summer go-to. So I won’t sing it’s praises (though it deserves every one). The WORST blush I’ve ever tried, and for that matter their foundations too, was from Physician’s Formula. Everything I’ve tried from them turns a horrible, unnatural, almost traffic-cone-tinted orange as soon as it touches my oilier skin. It’s probably one of the most overrated makeups (obviously, just my opinion) for sale today, which is so sad because of the “healthy” qualities they’re supposed to have. I’ve never been able to test their claims because I immediately wash my face after applying, but maybe that’s why they say your skin will be better if you use their products. It does encourage cleanliness.
I have very oily skin and unfortunately, I’m a hyperhidrosis sufferer as well. The most long wearing blushes are always cheek stain/tint products.
Benefit’s tints (Benetint, Posietint & Cha Cha Tint) are the most long-wearing cheek tint among other brands. But I also love Tarte Maracuja Cheek Tint, Estée Lauder Pure Color Cheek Rush, Illuminare Ultimate All Day Blush and BECCA Beach Tint.
But that being said, I have to admit that as a powder blush, Tom Ford Cheek Color, TheBalm Instain, LORAC PRO Powder Cheek Stain and Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush has great staying power, but not as long wearing as cheek stain I’ve mentioned above.
Ah, I forgot to mention Hourglass Aura Sheer Cheek Stain! I love that too! 😀

I for me I guess thebalm but I don’t wear blush a lot because I get paranoid that it will bring out my redness hidden behind my foundation haha
