No. I have a chronic eye condition, and even plain old makeup sometimes sets it off. I can’t imagine adding glue and/or growth serum to the mix!
I’ve never tried extensions, but have tried several brands of lash growth serums and though they seemed to help a little I always stopped because I never found one that didn’t cause itching or redness. Maybe I’m
just too sensitive to them. Now I just use really good mascaras and glue on lashes for days when I want to look extra good…….
No. I haven’t even used false lashes. My lashes aren’t that long or full, but I don’t use anything other than mascara on them. I’ve heard lash growth serum might change eye color, which is a huge dealbreaker for these green eyes!
Nope. I’ve had retinal tears in both eyes so I’m very reluctant to have anything “done” around my eyes. I did try castor oil on my lashes to encourage growth but got bored with the whole process in 2 weeks or so, so not enough time to see if there had been any effect at all.
I’ve never tried lash extensions and don’t wear false lashes, but I have been using lash serums for the last few years, with great results. My lashes used to be so short and blond (though I have pretty dark hair) and now they are much longer, fuller and dark and I’m very happy with it. The result aren’t anything like the transformation the cosmetic companies always show in advertising, but that’s fine. Just happy to have longer lashes.
Do you mind sharing which eyelash serums worked for you, please? I too have short, blond lashes and have been thinking of using an eyelash serum. Thank you!
I use GrandeLash–didn’t change the color of my eye or my lashes so they’re still blonde, but they’re much longer and healthier. Highly recommend!
Neither. OUAT I had eyelashes dyed, which was beyond stupid and a waste of money and time. Though the BF got a permanent, the results of which were hysterically funny. So maybe the trip was worth it.
I have tried a few lash growth products, none have ever made my blond lashes grown long.
I have never had the urge to try extensions or false lashes.
Nothing except virgin castor oil, and when I have, it works extremely well even though it does take at least a month to see any noticeable results.
When I was younger I used castor oil for my lashes and eyebrows, as it was assumed it makes your hair grow faster. There were no fancy serums back then where I lived. This question brought me so many memories of me applying castor oil with a q-tip each night. 😅
No. Extensions are too high-maintenance and expensive for me, and lash growth serums kinda spook me…not that I would remember to use them every night (I tried one for brows and didn’t manage to finish the tube before it went off). If I ever get to the point that I feel like I need more oomph than mascara and falsies can offer, I’d probably just use castor oil, and hopefully run it by an opthalmologist first.
Overnight I use Nuelash Serum it helps my lashes but very little real increase in growth that I can see. I do have a little more length though.
Never! I have enough trouble putting on mascara without my glasses on, let along lash extensions!
I’ve used them all: growth serums, false lashes, & extensions. While I loved the look of extensions, the rules & upkeep were tedious. I stuck with it for about a year. As someone with blonde lashes, mascara or false lashes are a must for me to feel “dressed”. I do feel growth serums (I’ve used both serums for lashes & brows) have made a subtle difference, & the results are worth the disciplined use.
Never used lash extensions, bc as much as i admire the results I am too afraid of aftermath damage. I do however use Grandelash. 1st time I got a 6m tube fall 2021 & loved the length & volume it produced. I stopped using it for another 6-9m & was so sad to see my lashes return to their original sad state so I repurchased 2 mini tubes from ulta during their last BOGO mini sale & have been pleasantly surprised to see the 1st tube lasting wayyyy longer than it says it shoulda & I am back to the fullness & length I prefer & i never had any eyelid staining or other weird side effects ppl talk about. I swear by the stuff.
Oh my, I’ve done it all! False lashes in the 60’s and 70’s, extensions and dye in the 80’s, lash serum now! I’ve always had pale, skimpy, short lashes so desperate measures are required. I’ve tried dozens of serums and am now committed to Rodan & Fields as it works, by far, best for me. One coat of mascara required instead of the 2 and 3 coats when I’ve decided to go natural.
I’ve tried multiple serums without any luck. False lashes were hit and miss with me. I also tried the magnetic false lashes. That is when I started wearing lash extensions, I loved them! I would have them done every three weeks when I had my nails done. I miss them but I can’t justify the expense now that I am retired. I’ve seen false lashes advertised where you don’t use glue, they have an adhesive already on the band and you apply them under your lashes instead of on top of the lash line. I would like to check these out.
I lost all my hair due to illness a few years ago, it never grew back on my head but my eyelashes and brows are still going strong. I use UK Lash, both the lash and brow serum and I’ve seen such a massive difference! My brow and lash hairs have always been fine but now they’re thicker and my lashes are sooo long! I was quite skeptical but I use it every night, no irritation, (I have severe eczema) and I won’t be without it now!
I have never used extentions on my eyelashes but use growth serum.
Nope! I am lucky to have long lashes. They do grow more straight than curved though, so a lash curler is my bestie at times.
I’ve never used extensions, as it’s quite costly and I’m a bit scared of the wear of my own lashes.
I have used a few lash serums, I used Lilash for a year or two and loved the result, unfortunately it’s expensive when you add shipping, tax and fees, so I started using Revitalash instead. It also gave a nice result. I stopped using anything on my lashes for about a year and they went back to being short, so short that they are invisible due to my hoods. I went back to Revitalash and now they are, for me, quite long and not as sparse as they are naturally.
I’ve had no side effects using any of the serums.
Yes to both. And rarely to both. Too time consuming for the false lashes (though when you have the right pair and length can look lovely without over doing it). And the lash growth product may have worked, but it’s hard to know. It was discounted and I wondered if it simply was like a lash primer. My lashes were nicer (somewhat healthier looking) while I used it.
I’ve only used growth serum before, never lash extensions.
