Have you ever layered two (or more) lipsticks?

Have you ever layered two (or more) lipsticks? What did you layer? How did it turn on?

Oh, definitely! Most recently, I’d say Guerlain Altoum and Lou-Ling — very pretty!

I do it more often than not, actually. Although I own well over 200 shades, and rarely wear it, I still get bored with what I have, LOL. I also frequently layer nail polish.

I do this a lot actually! I like glosses but I guess I really do prefer lipsticks. On the other hand, I’m okay with matte lipsticks but really prefer a slight shine. Ergo, layering lipsticks is the answer to all my problems. 😛

Yep!!! I love layering bright orange lipsticks or glosses over bright pink ones. It makes a really “juicy” colour. Lol. Probably not the best description, but I know what I mean. 🙂

All the time! Usually to “tweak” a particularly dark or bright colour to match a look or an outfit. I especially love the combination of Shu Uemura RD198 under Utowa Rose 55.

Yup! I do that with Dior Incognito because I think I’m just a tad too dark to pull it off as a pretty nude (I’m still gutted). I love it on top of Chanel Rouge Coco Mademoiselle though! The creamy texture compensates for the drier Chanel one as well.

I got MAC Impassioned and Morange from B2M at the same time. They’re both a little too much for me to wear to the office, but blended together they look more subdued.

Mac High Tea is my go-to “top coat” when I use a matte finish or long-wearing lipstick. I hate the dry feel of them and also prefer a bit of shine, so its perfect. Unlike glosses, it can wear off without taking all the color with it.

Frequently. One of my current faves is MAC Violetta under Pink Popcorn. Pink Popcorn mellows out the purpleness of Violetta to make the perfect (for me) pinkish violet.

Yes! Many times. I have layered Mac Creme Cup + any bright pink or coral shade to tone it down, like Impassioned, Bobbi’s Neon Pink, Crosswires, On Hold, etc.

Pretty regularly.
Today: MAC Capricious + Venus
I also like MAC Ravishing + Cut a Caper, or Vegas Volt + Ravishing.
I layer lipsticks and/or glosses to get just the right texture and color I’m going for.
