Happy New Year!

It’s New Year’s Eve, so it’s a time for a little self-reflection, gathering with friends and family, and maybe even some fun–if we’re lucky!

It’s been a fantastic year here at Temptalia HQ, as is every year, really.  I feel so blessed with all of the success of Temptalia, and I really cannot thank you all, my dearest readers and friends, for all of your ongoing comments, feedback, participation, questions, suggestions, but most of all… your continuous support.  It is such a joy to be able to chat with you about the latest and greatest (and the not-so-greatest) beauty products.  I look forward to the year ahead of us and have high hopes for an even better year–and I hope we’ll all enjoy the ride. 

Thank you for being part of the Temptalia community and making it the most satisfying community, hobby, and project I’ve ever had the pleasure to experience! 🙂

Nope, I hated it short. I don’t have the energy to style it on a day-to-day basis, and if it’s not styled, it kind of looks like garbage, lol. I also hated not being able to pull it up and keep it completely out of my face. Ever since I cut it, I missed my long hair, so I’m going to stay long for awhile 🙂

Lol, I can relate to that, when I was younger I had my hair cut short and always grew it back. My mum said I1d cut it when I had babies as it’s easier to have short hair, but it’s not, and 3 babies later I still have long hair! 🙂

i think it looks great short! but i know how you feel when i cant put my hair completely up i cant focus when i am working out. all i can think about is how my hair is in my face.

I agree with Sass. I really like your hair short! My hair is shoulder length right now and I’m trying to grow it out, even though I am tempted to cut to to chin length again. I have thought coloring my hair too. Have you ever colored it Christine?

Hey Nicci,

I’ve colored it a few times, back when I was in high school – I used the same Feria shade, but I don’t remember the name, but it was a black-brown with a burgundy-red tint. I just like the color of my natural hair, so I’m really hesitant to color it again since it takes years to get it back!

If you like your natural hair colour, then don’t colour it, you will have to start when you get older and start having grey hairs, and it’ll never end then. I used to have blonde highlights (I’m naturally dark brown with red tint) and now I’m back to my natural hair colour, however, now I NEED to colour it as I have a lot of greys (I’m 33). So enjoy not having to colour your hair for the time being! 🙂

Christine I really like your make-up for 2009. What kind of foundation are you using? I like the subtle glow and it looks like your natural skin instead of a layer of make-up. I feel that when I wear makeup its so obvious. I like the natural glow. Are you wearing wearing a matte makeup or is it dewy? You look great and I like the light eye make-up too. I like that its not too glittery. I am a bit older and I don’t want to look like I am trying to be younger with the wrong makeup.

Hey Kimmie,

In the 2009 photo, I’m wearing Kiehl’s Tinted Moisturizer! I’ve been using that a lot lately for day to day wear, but if I plan to wear makeup all day, I go with Guerlain Parure Gold!

Tinted moisturizer is really good for a natural makeup look 🙂

I absolutely love your eye look and hair last year. You always look great, but I love the short shic hair. I love short hair and think it is so professional, chic, hot and great. I can do so much with mine and it is super short. Again, you look great this year too, but I didn’t know you well last year and love the hair:)
