Guerlain Terracotta Collection for Summer 2014
Guerlain Terracotta Collection for Summer 2014
In 1984, Guerlain revolutionized the way a beautiful bronzed look was achieved. The endless hours in the sun to attain that perfect glow while also causing damage to the skin, could now be traded in for a healthier, much quicker way to “tan.” Terracotta was born and with it, a natural-looking glow season after season that never betrays your secret. On the strength of thirty years of expertise and innovation, Guerlain now introduces a new collection of beauty must-haves as part of the Terracotta collection. Step into the secret of a healthy glow…

Terracotta Brush ($42.00)
This is the perfect ally for creating a smooth, perfectly tanned complexion. Its ultra-soft natural bristles are red, like those of Guerlain make-up artists, and evoke the warmth of a sunset. The convenient and elegant travel size slips into any handbag for touch-ups during the day, carefully protected in its bronze velvet pouch with a magnetic closure.
Terracotta Sunless ($53.00)
This 2-in-1 self-tanning gel delivers a veil of moisture and sun-kissed color to the entire body. Incredibly simple to apply, it melts into the skin. Within one hour, the skin is perfectly bronzed for up to four days. This intensely nourishing formula contains a subtle blend of self-tanning DHA and 100% natural organic argan oil rich in polyphenols and moisturizing fatty acids. Terracotta Sunless creates the look of a beautiful, even tan with the feel of smooth, satiny skin.
Terracotta After Sun Cream ($53.00) (Limited Edition)
Because tanned skin is even more beautiful when it is intensely hydrated, Guerlain is offering its first exclusive Terracotta after-sun care, boasting the Tan Booster Complex to enhance and intensify bronzed skin. Formulated with precious ingredients of natural origin and infused with the scent of the tiare flower, Terracotta After Sun completely hydrates, softens and soothes skin from the effects of the sun.

Ahh, that brush is so beautiful. It’s bristles are red like those of Guerlain make-up artists? What?
I can’t wait to see swatches!
Okay, these touch of sun foundation products are something I just don’t ‘get’.. In particular for fair/lighter skin tones. At the risk of sounding stupid, are you supposed to carry the colour down your neck and into chest area? Otherwise, it’s just going to look ridiculous. Do you bronze the neck and chest to work with the face? I’ve tried this and I think it looks terribly fake on me. What about your arms– self-tanner?. I can absolutely see these products looking really glorious on medium or darker skin tones to give them that extra glow (I’m so envious of this look),but being a light skinned girl, I just stay the hell away from these.
I really want to give that Joli Teint foundation a try!
Truly gorgeous products. Leave it up to Guerlain to make a faux tan luxurious.
Hehe, I love Guerlain’s brushes. I never actually get to see one in person here (they sell out instantly and the tester one is missing, usually), but they’re so pretty!
Tried this at Nordstrom yesterday in the Ebony shade and the pigments are just gorgeous! Pairs very nicely with my #4 TerraCotta bronzer. The shade is a bit more orange than I would like and I’m not too keen on how orange this can pull if you overdo it. FYI–I have strong red undertones and am a MAC NW43/MUFE #75/NARS New Guinea
Thanks for the insight, Trish! I was just happy to see they had FIVE shades.
You’re very welcome, Christine! I love that they had five shades too 🙂 Just to add, Diorskin Nude BB cream in Dark (004) matches me perfectly! I tried Guerlain’s Jolie Teint because it has SPF 20 as compared to Dior’s SPF 10. `
I’m really excited to hear more about that foundation!
