Guerlain – KissKiss Gloss – Product Photos & Swatches
Guerlain KissKiss Gloss ($29.00 each) is one of my favorite lipgloss formulas. It’s not too thin, not too thick, and it has a great non-sticky texture. The lipgloss itself is hydrating on lips, and it lasts 4-5 hours on me with no problems. One cool thing about the gloss is that Guerlain designed it to be water-resistant, as well. Each gloss contains 0.20 oz. of product.
For comparison, a MAC Lipglass contains 0.17 oz. for $14.00, while a MAC Dazzleglass contains 0.06 oz. for $18.00. These are extremely similar to Dazzleglass (actually, since KissKiss Gloss has been around longer, it’s really more like Dazzleglass is similar to it) in texture, feel, and shimmer. I find that KissKiss Glosses can run sheer or more opaque, depending on the shade itself. My Nordstrom carried ten different shades in-store, but I think there are around twenty or so permanently available shades. I did a review of three of the shades awhile back, but you can see that here.
KissKiss Laque is a creamy, opaque high-shine gloss. It’s available in less than ten shades and retails for $28.00 each, with each gloss contianing 0.20 oz. of product. My local counter only carried two of these, and both shades are new for summer/fall. If you’re not a shimmery/glittery lip kind of person, these are more of a full color, high-gloss lip without the shimmer.

Ooo they seem really pigmented compared the some of the dazzleglasses
I own “Abricot Gourmand”. I picked a KissKiss because I adored Guerlain’s Terracota gloss and running out of it, I thought i’d be an alternative. I was very disappointed. Terracota glosses are more comfortable and the effect on the lips is just sexier and more subtle than those. My “Abricot gourmand” has a nice color anyway but I never wear it: the taste of KissKiss glosses makes me litterally vomit. It’s totally disgusting and too present. Too bad because the color range is very cool.
What exactly does it taste like? Plastic?
Thanks for the heads up! 🙂 I was lemming Cherry Fizz, but now I think I’ll get MAC Lover Alert as a dupe.
I really love the taste, it tastes like vanilla IMO.
OK so I won’t be getting any of these because they simply cost too much. If I want opaque I will just put on lisptick and top with a gloss. I love the glosses, but it doesn’t fit into my makeup budget at all. I will have to see what I can do around Xmas. Bleh!
I have old samples of Rose Tentation 865 (I’ll throw them away when I buy the full-size version), and it’s a super gorgeous color. However, when I first used them, the texture was stickier than Lipglass, so I didn’t buy a full-size immediately. Thanks for the review, Christine–I’ll try out the (updated?) texture at Guerlain soon and maybe I’ll finally buy one.
amazing
They are definitely expensive and perhaps not worth it for everyone, but the colors and textures are sublime.
We’re lucky enough in Canada to have Guerlain at Shopper’s Drug Mart, and if you buy stuff you need (toothpaste or whatever) on a regular basis, you can accumulate enough points to get goodies like this for free. No-guilt shopping, my favorite!
Rose Sunset, Rose Florida, Cherry Fizz and Rose Tentation look gorgeous. Its a shame they are so expensive. I wonder if i can find dupes? Prescriptives have some similar colours, but Im not sure if thats any cheaper.
I’m sure you could find some dupes, Ki! Tough to replicate the feel though!
These are so gorgeous! I want them! Too bad I won’t be buying any makeup for quite awhile because of finances 🙁
Aww 🙁
A friend of mine gave me Fraise a Croquer yesterday as a present. I’m wearing it right now because it feels amazing. I’m sure that it’ll be a must for me this summer when I’m a little bit more tanned.
