Three Orchid species were chosen from among 30,000 studied and together they form the New-Generation Imperial Orchid Molecular Extract (OME). Together these orchids combine to create an internal and external longevity protection system utilized in our new Orchidee Imperiale Longevity Concentrate. Results are skin is immediately smoothed and tightened as if lifted, gradually all signs of aging are reduced as the formula acts on wrinkles, firmness, density, radiance, and stretched pores, and the surface texture of the skin becomes finer and more even.

Interested in the Rouge Gs! I am considering buying one at some point (curse the wonderful reviews and amazing packaging) but dunno what color, I can’t wait to see swatches for the 3 Fall colors!

there’s a treatment that’s selling for AUD$1900!! its so intensive that the girls at the counter joke it’s for those who want to look good for their death bed bc it only works on VERY aged skin.

Thanks for the info!

I love MAC, Chanel, YSL and many, many others… but lately none has been as luxurious and as satisfying Guerlain. Can’t wait!

This promo picture with Natalia is gorgeous, as usual. I think the pairing of Guerlain cosmetics with Natalia Vodianova as model/muse is my favorite in the history of makeup advertising. She is so beautiful yet so chameleon-like; I ALWAYS love each successive campaign, no matter how different they make her look. I hope this model-brand relationship continues for a long time.

Open question about this photo: I’m ambivalent about the use of a light eyeliner on her waterline. On the one hand it makes her eyes look larger, but on the other hand I think black would have been more dramatic (especially since this is a dark smokey look) and could have made the whites of her eyes look brighter. What do you all think?

Heather Avatar

In response to your open question:

I’ve been thinking about this with some degree of consistency lately, besides when I’m applying my own make up…to line the waterline or not. And if so, light or dark?

The conclusion that’s bubbled up just now, as I read your question is this: White liner just feels, to me, forced and unnatural. Black is so ubiquitous that it no longer feels special. And colors on the waterline? Not for me though editorially speaking, works when you have something to say. I think I’m just back to leaving my waterline be as it is and I’m appreciating seeing the same on other woman more and more. Not to say a lined waterline doesn’t have it’s place, but I believe on a day to day decision I believe I’ve let that concept go.

Besides, it rarely lasts on me for more than a second anyway…

Great question!

I wish I could afford Guerlain, but $30 for an eye pencil and $60 for an eye quad is just out of my league price-wise. I’ve been tempted by their foundations, since I wear so little and am therefore willing to spend a little more on a good one, but I’ve been sticking with BB Creams lately.

Hopefully I can get a job before August so I can buy some of this! I’ve fallen head over heels in love with Guerlain. Their only US store is in Vegas so maybe I’ll make a trip up.

Mariella Avatar

They’re nice enough but, really, I can’t see anything that makes them all that much more amazing than some of the Wet n Wild palettes (GASP! – sacrilege). Just too darned pricey and I honestly don’t feel that any makeup is worth quite that much.

I’m having fun trying to match the shade names to the pictures of the quads. Some are easy, some not so much. Really looking forward to both Garconne (although there are already a couple of beautiful red Rouge Gs) and Gigolo. Yummy.

Finally! A promo pic that I like from Guerlain! I’d love to know which quad/quint Natalia is modelling and the name of THAT lipstick!!
Some people don’t like the heaviness of the lipstick case but I love it! To me Guerlain’s Rouge G is very luxurious to hold and use.

Faye Avatar

Oh, Guerlain, why do you always do this to me? Every season I tell myself firmly I don’t need more $47 lipsticks — and every season Guerlain pulls me back in again :). I cannot wait to try Garconne and some of the eye shadow palettes.

I swear, as soon as I saw the model pic, I was FREAKED OUT. We have the same face shape, lip shape, nose shape, same eyebrows, skin color, hair color… The only difference is that I have amber- colored eyes. This is possibly the weirdest coincidence I’ve had, ever.

Well, at least I know how to apply my makeup now! Lol../

Emeline Avatar

Quad no6 and 7 are right up my alley! Maybe it’s time I invest in (my first!) worthwhile, luxurious palette..
Can’t wait to see the reviews!
