Guerlain Crazy Terracotta Healthy Glow Powder Review, Photos, Swatches
Guerlain Crazy Terracotta Healthy Glow Powder
Guerlain Crazy Terracotta Healthy Glow Powder ($69.00 for 0.35 oz.) is described as a “peach-hued harmony infused with invigorating bursts of pink.” It’s a soft, light-medium peach-orange with a satin-matte finish. When I swatched it, the pink seemed to mute the overall warmer undertones of the color but didn’t read rosy or pink-tinged. NARS Soulshine #2 is warmer, more orange, more shimmery. NARS Gina is darker, browner. MAC Cream Soda is lighter/ MAC Wartmh of Coral is more orange. Chanel Tweed Rose is pinker. Chanel Espiegle is similar. Bobbi Brown Nude Peach is slightly pinker. See comparison swatches.
The texture is like silk–finely-milled, smooth, and wonderfully soft–against the skin, so it blends and softens beautifully with hardly any effort at all. The color itself is on the lighter side, so it is better suited for light to medium complexions, as it may not show up well on deeper complexions. It barely shows up on my medium complexion, and it tends to add a soft warmth but not obvious color (which may work for some, but others may want an actual bronzing powder), as a reference. It wore well for eight hours without fading and showed some signs of fading after nine hours of wear.

You are the best, Christine! Thanks for this review. I’m actually disappointed, but all due to my erroneous expectation. I was hoping for more of a red or cooler toned bronzer and this looks like a light peach blush.. not at all what I was anticipating. It also puts me in mind of Chanel JC in espiegle. I definitely have products that could dupe this effect.
No problem, Wendy! Yes, definitely a warmer bronzer and seems on par with what Guerlain described it was (I mean, I don’t really SEE visible pink on me, but it is obviously there in some capacity and my warmer undertones probably kill them!). Maybe next release will be the one for you 🙂
I had the same expectations as you, so this swatch was extremely disappointing. Good red and cool toned bronzers are so hard to find, most bronzers are too yellow and/or brown for my skin tone.
DAT LIP COLOR. That’s perfect on you! 🙂 The powder’s nice, too!
Thanks, Jessica 🙂
The blush looks lovely on u dear.. reminds me so much of the NYX Mosaic powders.. which looks exactly the same ,, 🙂 🙂
Thanks, Poo! Will have to check out those powders!
Was disappointed by product especially when, Bourjois cream blush in Healthy Glow No. 2 provides same effect for fraction of price
You can almost always find dupes at any price point for pretty much any product or shade!
I’m definitely getting this too. I like how subtle it is, enough to work as a blush on me. I’m also one of the few people who like this collection’s packaging. 🙂
Enjoy, Precious! 🙂
I like the overall color this gives off, not too pink, very nice.
The pink is definitely keeping a low profile!
This is gorgeous! Thanks, Christine!
No prob, Danielle!
Christine, will this show up well if I’m between 04 and 23 for Guerlain’s foundation? 23 is my summer, 04 is my winter/fall. Thanks!
I think just barely 🙁
I need this ASAP!
Let me know how you like it!
So beautiful on you, Christine! Is that all you have on top of the foundation? It’s so nice!
Yep! 🙂
I’m really looking forward to this collection. I think its unique and stands out, this one is especially gorgeous. It’s on my list, along with the crazyballs.
Enjoy! 🙂
I see what you mean about the black lacquer packaging now. It is really nice.
The compact has good heft to it (same as the permanent ones), too!
Oh wow, I thought this would be bronzier and darker. I’m pleasantly surprised it isn’t and I think it might work on my pale skin. 🙂
It would be lovely on fair skin!
That is STUNNING! I managed to find a Guerlain Terracotta powder for like 30% off retail price at my local Winners but I may have to splurge on this one…
30% off? That’s awesome!
Christine, can it be used as a overall powder for me(tan to dark skin, nw43-45) or should I be skipping this one
Hmm, I think it could be used all over, though I don’t know if it’s the best product for that purpose.
