Guerlain Cherry Summer (#262) Kiss Kiss Baby Review, Photos, Swatches

Guerlain #262 Kiss Kiss Baby

Guerlain Cherry Summer (#262) Kiss Kiss Baby Lip Balm ($31.00) is an ultra moisturizing, sheer baby pink.  Kiss Kiss Baby is a high-end version of lip balm, so don’t go into it expecting extraordinary color pay off.  Accordingly, Cherry Summer is no exception–it’s barely there color that delivers a hydrating punch to the lips.   It’s one of two limited edition shades from Guerlain’s Summer collection.  I can’t get over how soft and smooth it is and it really does keep lips moisturized for hours.  I also like that you don’t need a lot to get the moisturizing effect, which is often a problem with higher-end lip balms.  I do like their little potted Terracotta balms a bit  more, but the stick-delivery is way more convenient.  I think Guerlain fanatics will enjoy it, but if you’re not a high-end beauty fiend, this isn’t the product I’d start with!

Hi Christine!
Do you like the terracota pots BEST or the stick form? How often did you have to reapply? Have you tried any other colors from the KISS KISS BALM?

Oh I love tinted lip balms! This looks really nice but it’s way too expensive for me. I’ll just stick to Burt’s Bees, or, as I usually do, put on blistex and then a touch of lipstick and blend LOL!

they are expensive but they are just so beautiful! i love the subtle colour and sheen it gives 😀 They are worth it!!! And could i ask what you are using on your face, you’re so glowy!!! xoxo

I don’t really get why people complain about the color payoff. Tinted lipbalms are supposed to be sheer. If they were opaque they might as well be called lipsticks. I love how I can give my lips a hint of color without the stickiness og extreme shine of gloss and without the hassle of blending regular lipbalm with lipstick.

I love the way this looks on your lips (I love busy, bright eyes, so I tend to like more subtle lips), so I went ahead and got this, and it does look gorgeous on. The scent really kills it for me, though. I really wanted to love it, but it’s too perfume-y for me and gives me a headache. =(
