Giorgio Armani Silver/Black Grey (16) Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadow Review, Photos, Swatches

Giorgio Armani Silver/Black Grey (16) Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadow
Giorgio Armani Silver/Black Grey (16) Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadow ($32.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a darkened silvery gray with a bright, foil-like metallic sheen. It has an almost green-teal pull of color. It doesn’t look pure silver on me, which is what I was expecting. #16 worked well both wet and dry; there was hardly any difference between the two–the finish is slightly more metallic and smoothed out when used wet, but it’s hard to distinguish the difference on the eye. Â It’s not quite as smooth or as nicely textured as a few of the other shades, though.
The texture of the Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadows is interesting; it’s a really compacted loose powder, but it’s so finely milled that it almost feels like a hybrid cream-powder. Each pot contains 0.14 oz. worth of product, which is a good amount, given that most pressed eyeshadows average around 0.05 oz. I have worn around half of the range alone on lids with 12+ hours of wear without creasing, smudging, or fading.
#16

OMG the more of these you post, the less power I have to resist buying them! Do you have a favorite?
Wow, what an intense sheen!
Christine, do you know how does this compare to pulp fiction?
This has no brown or burgundy.
Thank you Christine!
Beautiful shade, but I wish it was a little darker, though (more black and less silver).
This looks beautiful. Are you going to do some type of “roundup” for these? Thanks for the review 😀
Yes, once I have reviewed them all! 🙂
This is a beautiful color also, but I don’t wear silver like this well. I bet it will great on some other lovely ladies though!
Ok, now I have been considering on splurging on one of these for a while, but couldn’t quite bring myself to spend $32 on an eyeshadow. THIS might be the shade that makes me do it!!!
Like all of this line – way out of my $ ballpark. If it were cheaper I would not buy it because it’s way too high of sheen for me unless I were t only use it a dot here and there in a blend.
Hi Christine,
Are you going to review #14? Its gorgeous! I want to see what you think of it though 🙂
Are shades 15 and 16 some kind of limited edition? These don’t figure on the Armani website and are unavailable in my local store. And as it happens these shades appeal to me most!
15 and 16 are on GA’s website right now – they are limited edition, though.
I wish this wasn’t so expensive… :[
