Giorgio Armani Desire & Eccentrico Lip Power Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Desire (502)
Giorgio Armani Desire (502) Lip Power Satin Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a soft, medium pink-coral with moderate, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage that applied evenly but had a tendency to settle into my lip lines, though it wasn’t noticeable at first.
The product was initially creamy and smooth with light slip, but it developed to something a little clingier and a touch tacky; this was the point where the color in my lip lines became noticeable. It stayed on well for four hours and felt lightly hydrating.

Formula Overview
$38.00/0.11 oz. - $345.45 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "satin vivid color with buildable coverage that stays all day long" (they claim "8 hour wear" without having to reapply). I found the coverage varied significantly from lighter to deeper shades, and shades with pearl and more luminosity to their finish tended to be sheerer, somewhat buildable, and were more prone to gathering in my lip lines.
More mid-tone and deeper shades tended to have a true satin finish--not too glossy but not matte--and had more semi-opaque to opaque coverage--so not so much buildable either. The texture was lightweight, creamy, and smooth without being too dense in the tube nor too emollient. I found that the formula felt glossier and more balm-like initially but seemed to set slightly to something that was a touch tacky, not emollient, and felt a little clingy in comparison to the original texture (not clingy in a bad way, for the most part!).
As expected, lighter, sheerer shades didn't wear as long or as well as more mid-tone and darker, satin-finish shades did. Lighter shades lasted between three and four hours, while darker shades lasted between four and six hours with only a few getting close to eight hours. The formula was comfortable to wear and lightly to moderately hydrating over time.

Eccentrico (503)
Giorgio Armani Eccentrico (503) Lip Power Satin Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a medium coral with warm undertones and a soft sheen. It had semi-opaque color coverage that adhered fairly evenly to my lips with only a touch of product that settled in my deeper lip lines.
The texture was smooth, lightweight, and moderately emollient when initially applied, and then the formula “set” somewhat to something a little tackier and clingier, though it didn’t emphasize my natural lip texture. It wore well for four hours and felt lightly moisturizing over time.

Even though these didn’t get high grades, both look really beautiful. I like that they set a bit. That makes me feel like they could better withstand mask wearing. Trying to figure out which one is the closest to MAC Cosmo, so I will look at side-by-side comparisons to see if one does.
It seems this new Armani formula doesn’t live up to expectations from the brand. Thank you so much for reviewing it! I feel spared a big disappointment
Gosh, some of the major HE brands are having a bad lipstick day – and whilst these shades are lovely, the formula isn’t.
Wow. Armani has always been very reliable in their lip products, so these come as kind of a surprise. I feel like a lot of recent lipstick releases have been underwhelming, or maybe it just feels like that because we’ve also lost some really good ones: Bite’s Amuse Bouche, Becca’s lipsticks, etc.
Part of the lower scores does reflect an eight-hour wear time claim, but it’s definitely not their best formula – doesn’t sit quite as well as I’d expect for GA!
