My most recent haul would be my Christmas presents– the Zoya mystery box, MAC Melba blush, MAC Syrup lipstick, Shiseido eyelash curler, and LORAC Champagne Dreams palette.
My weekend plans are to go to Macy’s and get some foundation samples. I have a $50 gift card and I was going to buy more MAC lipsticks but I decided I’d rather get a nicer foundation than the drugstore ones I’ve been using. I’m not sure which one to get though– I have NW 15 skin, combination (mostly normal with an oily T-zone and some dry random dry patches). I’m thinking I’ll get a sample of Estee Lauder Doublewear, but does anyone else have any suggestions?

I got Yves Saint Laurent Glossy Stains in Brun Cachemire and Mauve Pigmente; Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Stick in Khaki; Nars Lipstick in Dressed to Kill; and Stila Waterproof Eyebrow Color in Light. Can’t wait til they arrive!
Weekend plans: A massage… and getting used to the idea of going back to work after two weeks off!

There’s actually a study about how the equivalent of dog years is a lot more in-depth than 1 human year = 7 dog years (so the saying goes)! I think it makes it pretty old, lol!
Haul: My Notoriously Morbid order arrived! I’m thinking of getting some photo albums designed for Fuji Instax Cameras to hold my indie makeup samples. The pockets are just the right size and the albums are adorable!
Weekend Plans: Sleep! I go back to school in a few days.

My older son’s birthday is in February, and my hubby and younger son’s are in March, so I need funds available for those times, too.

What’s your favorite place to window shop?: I can’t remember the last time I went window shopping. Since I was rear-ended a couple years ago and my back injured, most days I’m not up to walking around a mall or whatever for long periods. Or even short periods of time, some days.

I’d love to. It’s going to have an Alice in Wonderland theme. I picked out an extremely light blue, so the wall color won’t affect lighting and how I see my makeup. Accents are going to be hot pink, lime green, turquoise blue and bright purple. It’ll be so fun.

Haul: Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and Kat Von D Monarch eyeshadow palette. My ColourPop order came in Raw, Charm, Tipsy, Wet, Bunny, Cake, Bull Chic, and Brills lipstick with Cheeky and Animal eyeshadows.
Weekend plans: Other then raging at out grey skies this winter (we are just not getting snow and a lot of rain in Ontario… I want to take more photos!). Just relaxing before going back to work.

Haul: This week was a doozy… I got home from vacay & had a few boxes! I received my Makeup Geek order for foiled eyeshadows (mesmerized, Houdini, magic act, in the spotlight, grandstand, showtime & jester), and pigments in liquid gold & nightlife. I received my Sephora ‘sale on sale’ order & got the Marc Jacobs beauty highliners set (not on sale, bought a back up – I’m obsessed with them & love the minis!), the Korres greek yogurt set (also not on sale, but a good deal), MUFE studio case, Living Proof hair care value set, Boscia blotting papers, Nest Moroccan Amber shower gel & body lotion, Formula X ‘the system’ for nails (just the minis/ 500 point bonus thing). Also I received my ColourPop order… I ordered the Lippies lumière, dahlia, feminist, ellarie, Lippie to go set, Forget the Fruit Lippie set, Not A Box of Chocolates set, Barely Blitzed set, and 3 bonus lippie primers. I went a lil cray because seriously it’s so affordable, and I was thinking if I have to pay Canadian duties, I’m going to go all out one time then consider future orders.
Weekend plans: No plans! 🙂 just hang out with my bf and family!

I absolutely love them! They are so gorgeous and pigmented and soft. I couldn’t really believe how creamy the consistency was, it’s kind of unreal. Marlena (the OG MUG Queen herself) was saying in one of her YouTube videos (pretty sure it’s this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkAetn7ZZ0k) that people were complaining that the shadows were breaking during shipment, but mine were fine & I live really far north in Canada. She was even ‘asking her audience’ if she should make them into pigments instead, but I don’t think that’s necessary! They’re awesome the way they are

Weekend Plans: Delayed NYE merriment. I’m cooking for some acquaintances, playing board games, and drinking!
Window Shopping: Pottery Barn, West Elm, Crate and Barrel, and Anthropologie. Antro is always decorated and window-dressed so interestingly you can just wander around the store trying to take in every little vignette!

Haul: Comme des Garçons Wonderwood, Marc Jacobs Fluorescent Beige polish, Marc Jacobs The Conceal brush and some muslin cloths from Eve Lom. Had my Serge Lutens De Profundis come this week and could not be more excited.
Weekend plans: Cleaning and reading. Take my kids to Target at some point. Their favorite thing to do.
What’s your favorite place to window shop?: William-Sonoma, Nordstrom. I always loved passing the Barneys windows when I lived on the East Coast.

Haul: Clinique Take the Day Off Oil (Sephora seems to be the ONLY place to carry this; I checked the Clinique counter in the dept. store and the gal had never even heard of it, looked it up on Sephora.ca on her phone and was amazed to see it and then checked her big catalogue where it’s listed as “international”, meaning not sold in Canada! I went to Sephora and got it and then took it back for the gal to see and she’s going to try to find out from her area rep why the dept. stores don’t have it); I also got Sephora Flirting Game liner and a whole whack of soaps and stuff at Bath and Body Works. I went into lululemon to get some new yoga pants (I’ve got 2 gift certificates still left from my birthday!). Oh, and a really nice Xmas table-cloth for a mere SEVEN bucks! All of this was today – first time in the stores since well before Xmas!
Weekend plans: back into gym/yoga routine; some shopping at Shoppers Drug Mart tomorrow (20X the points and I have to get some eye cream and something to add to a friend’s b-day present) and trying to get back into eating more healthy food and less home made shortbread and Raspberry Meringue squares!
Favourite place to window-shop: All along Bloor Street in Toronto! (Ashley’s, Birk’s, Holt Renfrew, Prada, MAC, Crate and Barrel, lululemon…
I usually stop going to big stores the week before Black Friday, LOL! Then you won’t see me dare to return til mid-January…

Ooh, Meteorites. The new ones?
Yeah 🙂 They smell so good, and like you’ve said about other meteorites, give that photoshop in real life quality. The price reduction compared to voyage helps, and the compact doesn’t feel cheap despite being plastic. Does hold fingerprints quite noticeably though. Also, I would say they are less shimmery than the loose meteorites that I’ve tried in stores.

What’s your favorite place to window shop? Sephora and Nordstrom

Haul: a ton of new drugstore stuff including the new Milani Fierce Foil quads and matte lipsticks, Maybelline Rebel Bloom lipstick collection, and more! So much amazing stuff coming out that I need to try.

Haul: all my Christmas presents finally made it through customs (yay!), so a few UD palettes, a bunch of lip tars, and assorted mystery makeup goodies are officially “hauled”–except that I can’t/won’t open them until I’m able to contact the sender on Skype so she can watch me open them! I feel as impatient as a five-year-old on Christmas Eve. 🙂
Weekend plans: None! … So I’ll probably watch a lot of The Good Wife and work on small projects.
Favorite place to window shop: I only window shop online, but Nordstrom, Sephora and Gilt get a lot of my pageviews.
