Haul: It was my friend’s birthday last week, so I went a little overboard, haha. I took her to Sephora and let her choose what she wanted. For her: Tarte Dollface blush, Fresh Rose Sugar Lip Balm, a mini Hourglass liquid lipstick in Icon, and we split the Draw the Line set from Sephora (I kept the folllowing liners: Marc Jacobs Blacquer, Kat Von D Trooper, and NARS Via Veneto). For me: Maybelline Colorsensational lipsticks in Plum Perfect and Plum Paradise, Colorsensational Creamy Matte lipstick in Divine Wine, Line Stiletto liquid liner, L’Oreal True Match Lumi foundation in Sun Beige, L’Oreal Infallible Pencil liner in True Teal, Maybelline nail polishes in Midnight Show, Crushed Crimson, Twilight Rays and Purple Possibilities.
Weekend plans: I need to write several blog posts and save them as drafts. I also have a mountain of school work to complete and I would like to bake a kabocha squash pie. Kabocha squash is really sweet, so i think it’ll work in a pie.
Last movie you saw in theaters?: You are going to laugh……the final Harry Potter movie. I just don’t want to spend money on movie theater tickets. I’d rather save my money for makeup. 😛

How did you like your MAC makeover?
It was kinda stupidly awesome. I went to the ball as Maleficent, so I had a purple cut crease, massive lashes and green glitter… paired with Nightmoth and Rebel on the lips. So much awesome.
Haul: MAC Soar lip liner & my first ever BaubleBar order! Mostly some necklaces & earrings.
Weekend plans: My in-laws leave early tomorrow morning after a 3 week visit, so I’ll be doing some cleaning, laundry, etc. My friend is also having a jewellery party tomorrow so I’ll visit with some friends.

I love statement necklaces on others but feel ridiculous in them! Any advice?
I would say start by pairing a statement necklace with a plain white/ black/ mono-coloured t-shirt or sweater. And if you’re going to wear earrings pick small/ plain studs or skip completely. You’ll start feeling comfortable in time! 😀

Are you doing a big sort through of all things or is it makeup-related?
EVERYTHING!!! Clothes, shoes, makeup… We just got rid of 4-5 large trash bags *filled* with mainly clothes, but there’s still MORE, LOL!
I do go through my makeup every couple of months, usually by “type”, so that shouldn’t be too big a job. I mainly want to “shop” my stash, and after the start of the New Year, go on a “low-buy”, which means with the exception of a few stragglers on my list, and the quarterly NARS collections, I will only buy something that is “kick-me-in-the-head” fantastic.

Oh dear, Friday and I have to write down my slightly over the top haul, no it’s not that bad. First things first, though.

Haul: Georgio Armani, Maestro Eraser, High Precision Retoutch, I really like this combo. I finally found the eyeshadow palette I’ve been hunting at all the places that sell GA, Organica, the gorgeous(I think) one in gold and grey. This is my first GA purchase ever. The SA’s at the counter were fantastic! I had a great time, actually.
Sleek i-Divine eyeshadow palette original, Too Faced Everything Nice eyeshadow and blush holiday palette, cotton Pads, Black Opium giftbox that include an eyeliner pencil and a mascara, both in smaller size. And finally from NYX, Milk Jumbo Eye Pencil, lipliner in Purple Rain, lipstick in Aria, and an eyeshadow in Star. Of course they didn’t have the Wicked lipsticks and they didn’t know if they were going to stock them at all.
I also ordered some stuff, but I’ll report on that when the things arrive.
Weekend, watching Blizzcon. I have a virtual ticket, so it’ll be a two long nights watching panels and e-sports. So much FUN!
Last movie I saw in a theatre, one of the Twighlight movies. I think the one next to the last. I don’t often go to the cinema, I think it’s expensive, and I prefere watching movies at home where no one disturbs me with popcorn and candywrapper.

Are you excited for Overwatch?!?
Kind of, yes. It looks really good. I just don’t like having to play with others. I love how the chars look, and I am looking forward to know more about it. The film was really sweet, I thought.
I liked the film about WoW, Looking for Group. I imagine the US servers are friendlier that the EU ones. I’d really like to play on both.
Gaming and games is a lot of fun. I’m looking forward to building my garrison and get to know more, or refresh my knowledge about the orc lore.
I love watching Blizzcon, I’d love to be able to attend in person, but it is a bit far to go for a two day event.
I’ve been rambling on, as usual, I just get so inspired by Blizzcon, happens every time. 😀

I rarely see movies in theater myself!
Haul: Clarins Ombre Matte shadow in Earth, Philosophy Purity Made Simple (the foamy one in the tube), some Soap and Glory scrubs and body butters (in a gift set to give to a friend’s daughter), and I just got in from Sephora where I got Hourglass Ambient Light Powder in Ethereal (now I wish the LE one in the trio I have was available separately), a new tube of UDPP, a Marc Jacobs liner in Brown(out) – the 20% discount made the price somewhat less painful – and a Sephora one in Cappucino which is virtually the exact same colour at such a fraction of the price. I think that’s all I got but I could be forgetting in my dizzy frenzy.
Weekend plan: Gym, yoga and breaking out the slow cooker for some nice homey stuff

I’ll have to try Cappuccino! I can’t recall trying that one.
I made a beef and stout stew. Hubs won’t eat pork or anything that lived on a pig since we visited by brother in law who was working on a pig farm while in Agricultural Science YEARS ago! It’s quite annoying, actually as he’s already a picky eater anyway. I do have a lovely recipe for pulled bbq’d beef and my son in law, who is a fabulous cook, makes great pulled pork. It’s one of his favourite things to cook and to eat!
The Cappucino liner is really phenomenal and so close to Brown(out) in colour and in performance that it’s hard to justify going for the pricier option but the 20% off….I figured “now’s the time”.
Ooh, would you mind sharing the recipe? Would love to try it.

Haul: Finally got around to getting MAC Heroine. Some Hard Candy Top Ten palettes (why are these better than Kat von D’s Star Studded, Cargo’s Shanghai Nights, and Lorac Skinnies?). Eight (Well, they were only $1! ha, ha ) Profusion palettes that were at the Dollar Tree (again, why are these cheapies high quality and pigmented, while the higher end is becoming mediocre?). Morgana Cryptoria lipsticks in Maleficent and Deadite. Milani lipliner in Burgundy Blush.
Weekend plans: Trying not to kill my older son. If you hear on the news that a lady in Oregon flipped out and strangled her bipolar 19-year-old with her bare hands while wearing fabulous makeup, you know I failed.
Last movie you saw in theatres?: I think it was The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug last December. I rarely go to movies, usually 1-2 a year. I probably won’t go again till this December when the family goes to see the last Hobbit movie.
I am impressed to hear that both the Hard Candy and Profusion palettes are THAT good in comparison!

Elisa, I keep having the same Sephora experience with the MUFE shadows. I’ve been to 2 and neither had the 2 shadows I wanted. I think the stores only have a selection. The SA was telling me that there’s a Sephora in Toronto that has a MUFE “bar” within it and she thinks they have the entire range. I’m not willing to drive to Toronto for eyeshadow (well, I sort of am but I’m terrified of driving the highway).
The 401, if that’s the highway you would take, is terrifying. I guess when I finally pull the trigger it will have to be online. Thank goodness Christine’s swatches are so accurate.
Haul: Boscia’s new Tsubaki hydrating maks + their mask trial kit (with several single use packets), Givenchy le Rouge in Framboise Velours, a mini Matte Creme Lip Crayon from Bite (shade Gavi), and Sephora Eye Contour liner in Tiramisu. I have stopped shopping at Sephora because of their poor customer service, but still had a lot of points, so I made my last order taking advantage of the 20% off and redeemed all my points. Now I’m completely done with them.
Week-end plans: dinner with friends, try to go for a run each day.
Last movie you saw in theatres? Guardians of the Galaxy which was hilarious. It is by far the best movie I’ve seen in the past 2 years.

95% of my orders are fine through Sephora, but any time there IS a problem and you have to call their customer service, they always do the least. I don’t know how else to describe it, but they do the bare minimum. I’m too used to Amazon and Nordstrom, I guess.
Ironically, I just noticed that they charged my credit card twice for the full amount of that final order :/ Both payments are still pending so I need to wait and see if one gets cancelled but I’ll be reaaaaally mad if they both post….
The last thing I want is to deal with their infamous customer service again!!
Fingers crossed that one drops off! Hate when that happens (for any retailer) — had that happen where FOUR charges were all pending at another retailer (not beauty related), but they did drop off quickly.

Haul: I got a couple of subscription boxes in the mail today, so I have lots to play with over the weekend. Probably my favorite is my Julep box, so I have two new nail colors and two new gel eyeliners to try. Also the Target Beauty Box, with lots of fun products. I really like these kind of boxes for introducing me to products I might not try alone, and colors that I wouldn’t necessarily even think to try. Gets me a bit out of my ruts!
Weekend plans: Grocery shopping, cleaning, and trying to get started on my shopping lists for Christmas.
Last movie you saw in theatres?: I can’t even remember the last movie I saw in the theater, we usually wait until they come out on DVD and buy them. I think the last theater movie might have been The Conjuring.

Haul: Marc Jacobs Highliner set, Hourglass Diffused Light, ABH brow pencil in Granite, and tarte Exposed from Sephora. Wanted to get the 4 piece LM Cavier Stick set but it was sold out:(. Also Exuviance Evening Restorative Complex (jury’s still out) from Dermstore. Thinking about getting up a Girlatick gloss too. Picked up some great non-makeup things: Stance socks from Zappos, really beautiful floral sheet set from Wayfair, and an awesome (but ridiculously expensive) faux fur oversized throw from Pottery Barn (stayed at a hotel on Coronado that had one and just had to get one for myself!).
Weekend Plans: relaxing and waiting for the arctic blast to roll through, shopping Savers’ 50% sale, hitting up mid modern century furniture stores
Last move you saw in theaters?: I think it may have been Bridesmaids. I never go to the movies these days. I’m 32; I’m old!!
