Weekend plans: Probably step out of the house and out of my pj’s in a LONG time!
Do you have a role model?: Ditto for me! My Mum! A lot of people have great stories and very admirable but all girls look up to their Mum’s for inspiration right? 🙂

How are you liking the NARS lipstick formula, Lily?
I like it Christine. I find it is more hydrating than heir satin lipsticks and this new formulas lasted for a couple of hours on me.. The $32.00 is the only thing I did not see the need for. All the colors are really beautiful!

Haul: I bought UD’s Shadow Box, but I’m returning it today. I tried to make the best out of it, but it’s just not the quality I’ve come to expect from the brand. I should’ve waited until your review came out!
Weekend plans: I was thinking a bike ride in the gorge, but there’s going to be sustained winds of 55mph, so we’ll see.
Do you have a role model?: I really admire my dad. He came from living on a farm with no indoor plumbing to making himself a self-made millionaire and I just really respect how hard he’s worked.
Good for you, Audrey! You should return it – it is really poor given how stellar most UD palettes are.
Haul: Well I wasn’t but apparently Life’s Entropy has a collection of neutral shadows that are all named for animal puns. Elephantary, my dear Watson.
Weekend plans: homework. Maybe some cleaning. Then more homework.
Role Model: Colonel Samantha Carter from Stargate SG-1. Absolutely brilliant, absolutely badass, looks smashing while still wearing actual protective clothing.

I certainly admire my mother, for her compassion and strengh of character, and my cousin also for her character but also her awesome business and personal skills. She is driven, ambitious and successful. I wish I could have her networking skills! I also admire Christine Mielke (really! Not brown-nosing!) for being so driven, dedicated at her work and becoming a household name at such a young age. Same goes for Marlena Stell of Makeup Geek. I admire women who have a dream and work tirelessly to make it happen! I admire you, because I wish I too had an idea that I carried out to fruition as great as you guys have. I’m just conventional!

Haul: MAC Weeping Willow Fluidline eye pencil, Next to Skin powder Blush, and replacement for my Chromagraphic Pencil in Nc15/Nw20 that shattered in my purse (it split the full length of the body. O_o).
Weekend plans: Saturday is my parent anniversary. Sunday more patio work.
Do you have a role model?: Not really… I can’t think of one because I always felt lost about what to do with myself career wise. My parent however inspire me though as well.

Yeah craziest thing I’ve very seen, the “lead” core ware fully exposed. >_< I was soo mad because it barely made a dent in it even though I use it all the time for my waterline. Sooo much product wasted.
Nothing at all. Saving my bucks for the launching of Gucci eye palettes. Sadly though I ran out of my Estee Lauder Synchronized etc. serum… Ouch!

It will be interesting to see how Gucci’s launch goes! I haven’t heard much about it.
They were launched online in Italy two days ago I think, and will be available in stores next week. Here Saks is going to have it available around October.
Saw the items in the italian website. Pat McGrath seem to have done an impressive job. We’ll see how it all performs. But since it’s expensive Im being good in case I decided to get few things. The eye quads are just stunning.
I look forward to seeing how they end up performing! You never know… I feel like more new lines are better at putting out quality products these days than trading off their name, but I always get nervous!
I just found out that the collection is available online at the Gucci website. Of course returns are accepted if items are unopened… I am lusting over two quads and two duos. If I get anything will share my thoughts with you. Some items are available, some are for pre-order. Gosh… Im super nervous! Aren’t we cute? Lol!
Haul: New cassette (13 x 28) and chain for my racing bike. We have hills where I live and I need the mechanical advantage. (After 25 years off a bike, I’m trying to ride big hills with the same gears I used when I was much stronger. The poor results were expected.)
Plans: read Bring Up the Bodies while planning how to knit the sleeves of my second two-color sweater. Take the bike out on the road.

Weekend plans: Tonight I’m going to a family friend’s birthday party with my mom at a local theatre & tomorrow night my friends & I will go out to a cabin for some ‘glamping’ haha
Do you have a role model?: Well third time’s a charm, so I’ll mention my mom again! Honestly, she’s the most wonderful, admirable person I know. She’s ahmahzing

They’re awesome all day! Don’t pinch & adjust to your feet nicely 🙂 the whole reason we ordered them in the first place is because my mom wore out her first pair completely!
Haul: Too Faced Bulletproof brows (really liking it), Stila In The Light and In The Know (? blue matte one), and It for Ulta contour brush, probably going to pick up the eye primer from Smashbox today. 21 Days of Beauty is not good for my wallet lol
Weekend plans: Going out to dinner with my friends who I haven’t seen for 2 years tonight & Caramindy will be here in CT too! Nothing for Saturday/Sunday probably going to try to finish up things I need to do before October craziness. Still need to book hotel room for Philly and plan my trip to CA in November.
Do you have a role model?: I don’t really have one.
How are the Stila palettes, Monica?
I really love the In the Know palette (all matte!). I wish there was a nice transitional color though, I feel like all the defining colors are a little too dark for that. I wanted to get the In the Light palette during the Ulta 21 Days special but it was sold out even before that day!

I have all 4 of the Stila In the…. palettes and I love the quality of Stila eye shadows…the old style. I was pleasantly surprised that the newer packaging has a mirror in it.
I didn’t end up picking up the Smashbox primer but I got Carmindy’s Game Changer Foundation and CarmaBlur when I met her tonight!
Haul: UD 24/7 eyeliner in Demolition, Bobbi Brown Lipstick in Blackberry.
Weekend plans: Several errands to run, and I have to get some reading done for my classes. I also want to work on my capstone project.
Do you have a role model?: This is kind of tricky for me because this past summer I realized that the professor I most admired wasn’t as great as I had believed him to be. I try to admire people’s deeds and any basic decency within them, but I don’t really believe in role models the way I used to (sorry if that was confusing).

Do you have a role model? Not really, but I do look up to one of my sisters, especially for her sense of humor and her easygoing personality and my best friend for her attitude towards life!
I missed Mellan brightening up my Fridays! He sure looks comfortable in “his” new bed and I’m sure he´s the best co-worker to have at your office :D!

Haul: MAC Viva Glam Rihanna lipstick and lipglass. A very different color on me, grayish silver and purple. I kinda like it though especially the shiny gloss! Also got the Vegas Lights palette from Makeup Geek. I like the colors but even with primer by the end if the day the shadow looks faded more than most of my other shadows do. I use good eyeshadow primers Too faced and Nars. So I’m not impressed with the longevity so far.
Weekend plans: Packing for a upcoming move. Watching Netflix

Haul: Kat von D Adora studded kiss lipstick (yeah I know I wasn’t going to buy another one but I tried it on at Sephora today and got suckered in haha). NYX Black Sesame macaron lippie, Transylvania matte lip cream, and Aphrodisiac & She Devil vamp lip creams.
Weekend Plans: Entering a homebrew competition with our ~famous pumpkin spice ale.
Do you have a role model: A couple. Mostly my parents, but also Cyndi Lauper and Margaret Bourke-White.

Weekend plans: A friend and I are making soups and a couple of other dishes to eat next week and freeze for later meals. We will watch movies while we cook. I’ll also be catching up on laundry.
Role Model: My Mom and Grandmother were the strongest women I knew. Some of the lessons they tried to impart were late sinking in, but I got it. And I am grateful.

Oooh, it’s like the whole Tom Ford fall collection!
I was perplexed + kind of bummed by the ending. No spoilers here! I pick a lot of books by the Edgar Awards database (Mystery Writers of America.) Really enjoyed the John Harts + Steve Hamilton’s stand-alone The Lock Artist, that won novel of the year (as did Gone Girl.)
I just finished reading the book today and I feel the same exact way about the ending!! So glad I’m not alone! LOL.
Haul: theBalm’s Cindy Lou-Manizer and Read My Lips glosses in Pow! and Boom! thanks to HauteLook. I swatched the glosses in Kohl’s earlier this summer and they are so pigmented! They seem to wear more like lip lacquers. So with that purchase, I broke my vow not to buy any lip products for 3 months (it has only been about one month). Well, I know it’s a worthy purchase and it was also one of the first lip products I wanted to buy after getting off strike so…getting them at half price makes it worth it! I also plan to use my CVS beauty club coupon to get one of Milani’s Color Statement polishes and a Bella Eyes shadow.
Weekend plans: Help the Junior League with Touch A Truck tomorrow, go out with my fiancé that evening and relax the rest of the weekend! Still adjusting to being back at work…weekends fly by so quickly now!
Role model: my mom. She raised me, she encouraged me, she inspired me. She’s made lots of sacrifices…not many are willing to do that.

Big somewhat impulsive haul – iPhone 6. BTMd for Silver Ring, Swimming, Aquadisiac and Paradisco. They’re already depotted so I almost have enough empties for the next one.
I’m torn on the UD holiday launches; I’ve worn the OL2 ones to death all year and I don’t mind sheerer coverage under the eye so the 10 is tempting. I was all set to get V3 until read your review; but then you made it look so fabulous that I’m tempted again! I think I’ll wait a bit and see it in the store. I have more than enough eyeshadows already but the holiday palettes are such a good deal that it’s hard to resist and I’ve fallen in love with UD since buying Naked 3 and Electric.

haul/overbuy/excess: Sephora: the 2 on-sale OCCs violet + neutral, though i don’t see zhora as a neutral. Rockitude little box. To me, there’s nothing rock’n’roll or edgy about it. It’s quite demure. I think the big blush has an overspray, whereas the tiny does not. First Aid Beauty eye cream: has slight concealer. With Eve Pearl from MUG (not in a-one condition, but the light-medium colors are good for me,) i was SHOCKED that there was no concealer redo needed between day jobs + night job. I’m hard to conceal + this is a good step towards the HG. The BI 100 pointer MUFE liner goes well with Rockateur gloss + fits in the box. Did not receive the MUFE E/S sampler (out?) BE 5 in 1 BB shadow (sample) looks worth investigating. it did seem to improve the lid skin. MUG: pink Z palette for the 8 eight blushes it will eventually hold. Hah! That’s what they said: 8. I think that means i will have to prune the wishlist. Got Romance and Spellbound: both lovely. Also a nameless magnetic palette, into which I have depotted the UD BOS 4. OMG did i ever hate that box. Was thrilled to put it out in the trash. And the Eve Pearl concealer…which i think might be better bought from their website than MUG. Seemed like old stock. Sorry, Marlena. Ulta: NYX: Vamp pencil in Covet, Red pencil in Knockout, Wonderpencil. Lipstick Queen Look of Love trio (trying to get back into pink.) Have been a Poppy King fan since the seven deadly sins, seems like 100 years ago. Naked 2 Basics. Doesn’t seem cool to me, simply cool-er. And Paula’s Choice. Big haul for the me of today. (e. g. far less salary…) Maybe i ought to stay off Lorac site, in case mega is up.
OMG paperwork for day job. work @ night. maybe get tv service, since the new season is starting. dip in the ocean, if there’s time.
No real role models, but a lot of heros. It’s nice to know how many of your readers have/had great mothers. I miss mine immensely, but we’re far too alike for me to consider her a role model.

Haul: I bought a lipstick for my grandmother for her birthday and *cough*oneforme*cough* from Guerlain, who have – get this – reduced their prices here! *gasp!*
Weekend plans: The usual 😉 Ballet and writing thesis. I got offered the lead in the recital we’re doing at the end of the year, though, so all I can really think about is ballet (and maybe what sort of makeup I’ll do for the performance!). *excitedflail*
Role model: I have a few… my mum, of course, my ballet teacher, my honours advisor. I look up to them for all sorts of different reasons, though.

Haul: Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, a couple of hair oil products, and MAC Next to Skin. It’s a warmer contour than I expected (less than grey then I originally thought), but it should work okay on my cooler skin tone. Don’t have much a choice, either, since my MAC Quarry eyeshadow got completely wrecked. 🙁
Weekend plans: Ugh, essays to write and work to do.
Do you have a role model?: My mother is probably the most formative influence on my life.

Haul, I got UD All nighter Makeup Setting Spray and Mary-Lou Manizer that I had ordered when on sale.
Nothing more as the vet cost quite a lot. Stubbs, the dog is doing fine, now. Silly thing taking a dead bird in the mout, ending up costing over $300. But he is worth every cent I spend on him, even though this was kind of unnessessary (I neve remember how to spell that)
Weekend, I have a cold, so stay at home, walk dog, drink tea.
Rolemodel, I guess my grandmother, she was always so caring and generous with her time, and her heart. She never stagnated, even in her 80s. She kept up with what happened in the world, with politics and with so many things, She loved cooking and baking and her home was always clean. I just wish I have inherited a fraction of all the good she had and was. I know this sounds mushy, but I miss her every day.
