Haul: Amrezy Palette (I got the last one in my local Ulta!) Fresh Soy Conditioning Eye Make-up Remover, The Cool Fix, Too Faced Peony Melted (gwp), NARS Priscilla (GWP), BBW new hand soap/dispenser, It Cosmetics Ombre Bronzer & the fan brush, and I picked up some Nature Republic face masks and an eye make up remover while in NYC
Weekend plans: Painting a cherry blossom tree tonight, Salt n Pepa will be in CT tomorrow, & possibly a state park because they turn 100 this weekend and it’s free!
Favorite thing to splurge on: Same! I love food 🙂

I have been using it the last couple of days, and I love it! I have a weakness for eye shadows in general though 😉 The textures are lovely. I can definitely see myself using this palette a lot

Haul: The remainder of my IT Cosmetics order arrived – a wonderful gel liner in Rich Purple and an amazing double ended brush to apply it; I liked the Bioderma Atoderm shower gel I got last week so much that I went back to get the special value 1 litre sized jug and I also picked up Essie’s Lapis of Luxury nail polish. Yesterday, I picked up Chanel’s Tisse Gabrielle quad (can’t wait to go back to get Rivoli!) and at Sephora, I grabbed another of their Jumbo Shadow Liner pencils and they gave me my new VIB Rouge gift – this year, it’s a Formula X nail polish in a stunning RED called X Hearts Rouge.
Weekend plans: gym in the morning and then a friend is coming to stay and we’re all going out for dinner to celebrate 40 years of friendship/knowing one another
Favourite thing to splurge on – what else, MAKEUP!!! (and lately, as we’ve redecorated a few rooms, new items for the house!)

And happy 40 years of friendship! That is impressive and amazing.
It was 15 bucks (the shower gel) – the “special price” had been $19.95 but the store had marked them down further. You can’t even get “cheap” shower gel for that price and this stuff is safe for sensitive and dry skin, babies and you can even use it on your face. Smells nice too – not at all medicinal or “unsmell” – that boring non-scent that you can still sort of smell on some products that are meant for sensitive skin.
Wow! That is bargain for sure 🙂

Favorite thing to splurge on: Shoes!! I can always justify the purchase in my head irrespective of the lot I have at home!

Weekend plans: Rest, rest, rest and hopefully finally recover from being sick for when my boyfriend gets back home on Sunday. We haven’t seen each other for a month.

■Weekend plans: Work saturday and vegetation on Sunday. I deserve it after a brutal summer College Algebra class. Well I won’t exactly vegetate. I’ll be binging on past season of Grey’s Anatomy, making me wish I was in school chipping away at my Nursing classes. I need to graduate already.
■Favorite thing to splurge on: Makeup (DUH lol) and good food too. Especially good cheese (so much cheese) and good wine. Man, I want a piece of Pavé D’Affinois right now. With a crusty baguette. And a glass Pink Pégau. Sigh.

The classic trio from SauceBox arrived yesterday, so Creme de la Creme, Temptation, and Forbidden Fruits palettes are now in my hands.
How fun! Lots of things to play with.
Haul: It Cosmetics CC cream compact – the one with the cushion. I think I like it. It has an SPF of 50! From Sephora, I got the new Urban Decay mascara, Becca pressed Moonstone and Fresh Sugar Ruby.
Weekend Plans: Finish homework for my methods class (getting additional endorsements on my teaching license means summer school) and begin making plans for getting my classroom back up and running – summer is coming to an end. 🙁
Favorite Splurges: Makeup and outerwear. Major purchases cause me major stress. I bought a new Jeep this summer and got lightheaded signing the papers.
What subject do you teach, Jessica?
In the mornings, I teach inclusive pre-school for 3 year olds. In the afternoon, I do special education resource for kids ages 5-14. My building is a Pre-K 3 through 8, so I see a lot of kids!
How fun! 🙂 My mom is a college professor, and I have a cousin who teaches elementary school (I think it’s 2nd or 3rd grade).
Haul: My huge 16 shade Lit Cosmetic order came in. *_* And my order of lash order for House of Lashes Eyelash Adhesive and ICONIC & STARLET lashes.
Weekend plans: Watching Belle and more patio work if it not raining all day.
Favorite thing to splurge on: Cosmetics for sure, I don’t need it like I need fabric, clay etc. lol

Haul: Not too much this week, but I do plan to change that over the weekend 🙂 Bought the Nume Titan 3 wand(s?) finally. Really excited. Been wanting it for a while. Teni P’s get ready with me sold me this week. Bought the new mini beauty blenders for spot concealing. I really want to try out some MUFE shadows they just released, but I want to either see them in person or read ur review first 🙂 Not beauty related but I finally got an Alex and Ani bracelet with a bike charm. Been out of stock for a while, and I am big into cycling so have been wanting it 🙂 just saw it was back in stock this morning!! Hurried and placed my order right away.
Weekend plans: Had small surgery yesterday, so will spend the next wk or so recuperating. Hence, the plans to do more shopping 🙂

Weekend plans: Still plodding through my research, and I need to write several blog posts for the upcoming week.
Favorite thing to splurge on?: Jewelry and shoes. I’ve been getting into shoes recently. I snagged a pair of candy apple red Stuart Weitzman pumps on Ebay for $40.
How do you store your nail polishes, Chris?
Ooh, do you write all your blog posts in advance? I am so envious!
I store them by color. I keep dark purples, brighter purples, browns/taupes/blacks, and whites/champagnes/golds in a drawer cart I purchased at Staples. I have a wall rack for blues and pinks. I keep reds in a large plastic shoe box and I have another plastic shoe box for greens. I would love to own a Helmer someday, but I would have to have my own apartment before I can buy one.
I try to write up at least 3 posts when I have the time. I don’t get to write all of them this way, but it helps when the week is busy and I have little time to blog. Then all I have to do is upload pics and it’s ready to be published! 🙂
Haul: A few things here and there over the past several weeks: Chanel Vertigo, Dior Sailor, It Cosmetics lip liner Perfect Red, Urban Decay Pulp Fiction collection: only the lipstick and lip liner, Bite Beauty agave lip maks & pomegranate high intensity pigment lip pencil (going back, has no staying power whatsoever, doesn’t even leave a stain and it gathered at the corners of my mouth), Trish McEvoy eyeshadow base Bare, Glam Glow set I found at Costco for only $42 (score!), three of the new Maybelline tattoos: Creamy Beige, Swiss Chocolate and Dramatic black.
Weekend plans: we had a really busy several weeks, so we just want to relax. Maybe go visit our favorite animal sanctuary, maybe go hiking.
Favorite thing to splurge on: probably makeup

Free for Haul! I haven’t bought any makeup in awhile after my last splurge and I got just a little bit carried away this week. At MAC I just picked up a 239 eyeshadow brush, Lady Danger, Ruby Woo, and Lady at Play lipsticks, they are all GORGEOUS but I’m not sure I can pull them off at work lol… although I did rock some Lady at Play yesterday 😉 I also ordered the neutral LORAC skinny palette even though I don’t need any more neutral shadows, lol. They just looked so perfect and it was so cheap! Also got Revlon lipsticks in Icy Violet and Sandstorm… they are on the way, good lip colors for work.

Haul: Nothing…I’m moving to a new place so I can’t take anything new. But in my Sephora .com shopping basket, I have several Formula X nail color and MUFE artist eyeshadow lined up. The VIB Rouge exclusive color Mesmerize looks very sophisticated.
Weekend plans: Probably meeting a new friend and gym routines.
Favorite thing to splurge on: Cosmetics and Gundam Model Kit.
Mesmerize does look cool! I’ve debated getting it, but the last thing I need to do is actively add more polish to swatch to my list, lol.

Haul: Revlon Icy Violet lipstick. I keep seeing it swatched and I finally gave in. My Sephora score was aces: Tarte Lights Camera Lashes mascara which I got with my certificate from last years Lash Stash, the MUFE mascara and lipstick BI birthday gift, because today is my birthday! Also, a Too Faced Better Than Sex mini and a Benefit Big Easy BB cream mini with my Sephora points. Total money spent at Sephora: $0. I walked out thinking “did that really just happen?”
Weekend plans: Nothing!
Favorite thing to splurge on: Must be make-up, from the look of my bathroom!
And, on the topic of my favourite splurge, I noticed in the mall where Sephora is, that the MAC counter in the Bay is about to be replaced by an actual store that is under construction. I think I yelped right there in the mall! I also think I heard my wallet yelp right before it glued itself shut!!
Oooh, how fun that they’re going to expand/make an actual MAC store! It will be very cool to see when it’s done 🙂 MAC stores are always really pretty to me.

Thank you! The nearest MAC store is an hour away, and that’s if traffic is decent (NEVER!!!). It will be nice to have a fully stocked store within 30 minutes. I think my wallet just started whimpering again
Haul: Two guerlain gloss d’enfer lipglosses in candy strip and Coral whizz (I think thats what they’re called (can’t be bothered going to look!)), another chanel le volume mascara, a benefits high brow pencil (am thrilled with this as it really lives up to what it says it does), a bobbi brown high shimmer lip gloss in canary (was going thru an old review of yours Christine and thought “I’ll have some of that “!) and Chanel blush in Malice. Phew! think I’ll go lie down now…
Weekend Plans: Housework and prepping the spare room for one of my daughters friends who’s coming over for a sleepover.
Favourite things to splurge on: good quality clothes , shoes and makeup.

Haul: I just got KVD’s Motorhead and Poe from Sephora along with Marc Jacobs Love and Lust lip set. A bunch of sale items at 30% off from All Cosmetics Wholesale. Some of Milani’s new eyeshadows and misc item from their site. I re-purchased UD eyeliner in Stray; a very good alternative to black liner for those who want a more subtle and less harsh look.
Weekend plans: Washing, purging my closets, making room for all my new products and mainlining Deadwood.
Favorite things to splurge on: Funky rings, well made driving shoes and what else – makeup of course.

so matte but matte lipsticks do tend to be drying and these seem to much more drying compared to others I have,even more than the Nyx matte lipstick 🙁 love colors and pigmented though
Gotta stop ordering online after 1A. Ordered, accidentally, Pro 1, for which I have >90% dupes on 14/16 shadows. Brilliant. (Thanks, Christine.) Pro 1 was gorgeous, but it seemed wasteful to keep it. Took it back + fortunately easily exchanged for the last Pro 2 in store. The browns, which I normally don’t much like (monarch being a rare exception) are just fab. pretty + fairly complex: look w/ mocha, cocoa + rose came out well. the order also had UD F-bomb in revolution formula + 69 in pencil. My stash runneth over with reds; probably have 15-20 reds for every pink, and 50 reds for every coral. Seriously. Liked the Lorac cobra masc; wand makes for easy app. Also hauled a much-needed new mouse.
Plans: assessment reports for day job. Night job Sun. have an invitation to the ‘illumination’ of the bay shore, hanging on a coworker’s boat, but not sure i feel well enough to go. This week has been painful, walking the dogs in the sun. Haven’t been to the beach or in the water all season + normally i worship the woods + the water. My church.
Splurge: since i’ve been borderline broke for a few years (they set me up, fired me + replaced me with 2 1/2 new grads. It so sucks to get old.) I’m out of the habit of splurges on makeup, though I do still score stuff. I really need nothing new in makeup, but I cannot resist new brands or lines, like Besame. Gotta cruise some indie stuff, like fyrinnae. Sometimes I splurge on a lobster or high end beef, and kick it up a notch with Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio or a pricey California Cab. That’s not major. You can always justify good food.
Big hugs to that winsome, fetching (both literally and figuratively) lab. If I had serious dough, I would splurge on dogs. I’d get a border terrier bitch, an italian spinone male, a wire haired dachshund bitch, and a dandie dinmont. So many great dogs, so little time!
Glad you were able to exchange for the Pro 2 palette instead since you had dupes for Pro 1 already! A computer mouse, I’m presuming? Which did you get? I love tech gadgets 😉

Favorite thing to splurge on: Books! I have a large library in my house categorized by genre, sub-genre, and alphabetical.

Yes, I do! I love first editions especially!

Weekend plans: Sunday, we are planning to smuggle doughnuts and a Thermos of hot tea into the theatre and catch the morning showing of Snowpiercer. 🙂

Haul:I ordered my favorite perfume (CK Truth) online. I am so happy that a found an online shop, which hhad this stuff still in stock.

Haul: I bought several Covergirl mascaras to try, between coupons and a sale I managed to get them for less than $2 each. So far I have only tried the Lash Blast Clump Crusher Extensions mascara, but I really like it, much more than I expected! I won’t say it is the best mascara I have ever used, but it is definitely the least clumping one. I want to try the others, but I have a hard time opening multiple mascaras at once and then letting them dry out before they get used up. I tend to be more thrifty than splurge-y. LOL I also bought the Mary Kay Microdermabrasion Set, and I ADORE this product! It has ultra-fine abrasives, but it is gentle enough that my overly sensitive skin wasn’t upset at all. I have used it twice this week, and I can tell such a difference in my skin already. I can’t wait to see how it works in the long run. I also got several samples of the Mary Kay lipsticks, and found one, Natural Beaute, that is the perfect shade of MLBB. I’m not usually a fan of their colors, but this one is definitely on my buy list.
Weekend plans: I am working all weekend, but that is okay. I’m a genealogist, so work today involves spending the day reading microfilm copies of newspapers from the 1850s. When I’m not working, I plan to catch up on housework.
Favorite splurge: Makeup and nail polish, and books. It is a toss up as to which is my favorite splurge, but judging by the amount of each that I have filing the house, I might splurge a bit too much. But they are relatively healthy addictions!!

Haul, nothing, I seem to be an every other week hauler 🙂 Waiting for some MUG eyeshadows and RT brushes.
Weekend is almost gone, I’m a day or two late, I was going to visit MAC , but with the heatwave we’re having I don’t feel like transporting me anywhere in any way, either by car, subway or bus. Today we are having thunderstorms. I like it, Stubbs, the schnauzer thinks the thunder is a bit scary, so now we’re in training session. We do fun things instead of thinking about odd noices.
Splurge, lots of things. makeup, of course, purses (handbags) I love vintage ones, books, films, stuff for the dog, LE of the games I like to play, shoes. I also like sewing, so patterns and fabric for clothes to myself.
