Haul: II almost bought the NARS contour brush!! I’m really trying hard NOT to buy anything since July is an expensive month w/ taxes/car insurance/car registration due :/
Weekend plans: Nothing notable yet.
Are you an adrenaline junkie?: I guess for me it depends. I’ve done sky diving, cliff jumping, and an obstacle course 80 feet in the air, but nothing lately.

Haul: Waiting on Guerlain Shine Automatique A La Parisienne and Guerlain Rouge Automatique in Apres L’Ondee, both of which should be arriving today.
Weekend Plans: Gardening, art, and work! Also, seeking out a second job because my day job is cutting hours for July. It’s located in a millionaire/billionaire town, so everybody travels for the summer. Ick.
Adrenaline Junkie: Sure, but I am the laziest one in the world. I’m up for trying anything, as long as I’ve got a fellow idiot to go along with!
Which lipstick are you most excited for?
A La Parisienne, mostly because I knew Apres L’Ondee would be a good addition, but I wasn’t too certain of Parisienne. Turns out they’re both quite good for me!

Haul: Nothing this week! Rarity.
Weekend plans: Not sure yet. Probably go to the beach, finish the new season of Orange is the New Black, sleep a bit… This week was exhausting!
Are you an adrenaline junkie?: Completely! It’s funny, I suffer from an anxiety disorder but I also love anything that’ll give me an adrenaline rush. Rollercoasters are my fav usually, but I went skydiving last month and loved it! Can’t wait to do it again.

Weekend plans: hubby’s away so hang out just me and the little one. Maybe go to the splash pad.

Weekend plans: Recharge. I had a really long, tiring week. I need a break!
Are you an adrenaline junkie?: No way. I don’t need more anxiety in my life, lol!

Weekend plans: our older son is home for 2 weeks (was with the US Marines in the Sierra Nevadas, then back to his home base and now HOME home) and our younger one is coming in tonight and we’re all leaving tomorrow morning for 4 days in NYC!
Adrenalin junkie? Well, some of my friends think so because I teach teenagers armed with knives (it’s Foods classes!). But, know – and it’s something I don’t understand at all!

Weekend plans: Not sure. It’s my birthday so I’m kind of hoping that my boyfriend has something planned.
Are you an adrenaline junkie?: Yes! But I’m always responsible.
What kind of daring things do you like to do?
Well, I’m pretty active. I ski, I mountain hike, I love exploring and travelling. And I don’t do it in a touristy kind of way. I like going off the beaten track and make things interesting. I’ll ski off piste, jump off a cliff, go explore a cave system, things like that.

Haul: Just replaced by Neutrogena makeup remover and picked up Maybelline’s new kohl liner in the black shade. It’s not quite as smooth as Guerlain’s, but it’s still quite nice. It’s a good starter kohl for those of us who have never tried it.
Weekend plans: Working, prepping to meet with school advisors.
Are you an adrenaline junkie?: Not particularly, though I love the occasional thrill. I’m more that person who will get on the roller coaster with you, but I’ll close my eyes at the top and scream every time. 😀
It’s probably a third of the price, too, so that’s always good, too!
Haha, yeah, that too. I am really digging the application of the kohl liner. I find it much easier than normal pencil liner for the upper lid area, and the softer lines work much better on my fair skin. I may end up splurging for the Guerlain kohl after I used this up. 🙂
Haul: I just bought three shadows and two blushes from makeupgeek and I’m just waiting for them to come in now! I’m so excited!
Weekend plans: Road trip with my mom to a spa as a graduation gift 🙂

Haul: Are you ready for it?! FINALLY, Opal!!!!! Ordered it yesterday morning then it sold out less than 3 hours later. I also repurchased the Josie Maran Argan Oil. Was gonna get Anastasia’s Dipbrow Pomade, but I’m pretty sure the sample the SA gave me was like half the jar…so gonna wait to buy it.
Weekend plans: I live a fairly boring life, so probably not too much.

Weekend plans: Making a family Bento tonight for the Toronto Cosplay Picnic and picking out colours for my parents patio.
Are you an adrenaline junkie?: Nope, I hate the feeling because I strongly associated with stress. lol
What colors did you end up picking?
Natural (light grey), Charocal (medium grey) and Walnut (medium brown with a rose undetone).
The house bricks has a beige/pink/grey mix bricks so they wanted to darker but not to dark with the patio.

Haul: I bought the Sultra Bombshell 1 inch curling rod from Sephora.
Weekend Plans: I am determined to go the gym!

Haul: A pair of gently used pants from Ebay and my monthly Eco Emi box arrived yesterday.
Weekend plans: studying for Monday’s linguistics exam and writing a paper.

It’s not too shabby. Recently they’ve been including more food items instead of beauty. I have found several good items through them, so for me it’s worth it.

Haul: Got an Estee Lauder LE nail polish in rose gold. Such a pretty colour, I think. Also got Guerlain EDP in Insolence (I’ve been searching for a fragrance that smells closest to the Les voilettes translucent pressed powder and subsequent enquiries and googling showed that this was the nearest thing to it), I’ve worn it 3 times this week and I love it (I’m the lady walking around with my wrist glued to my nose hoping no-one is looking and thinking ‘what a weirdo’!) and more importantly my nearest and dearest like it. I also got Guerlains equivalent to YSL’s touché éclat highlighting pen. I think I’m liking this more I must say.
Weekend Plans: Already done one of my plans which was to go to this lovely restaurant in town with some friends.YUM! The food was delicious . The rest of the weekend will be spent ferrying our daughter over the other side of the city so she can play a game of touch rugby with her friends. (I hate rugby. Lets leave it at that. The things you do for your kids!) Then theres housework. Boooo!
Am I an adrenaline junkie: Four words: Hell – to- the -NO! I can’t swim so thats deep sea diving out (not that it was ever in), I’m scared of heights so thats bungee diving and jumping out of airplanes out, I’m also averse to breaking my nails so thats everything else out too. Apart from shopping!
Might have to look for that polish! Love rose gold.

My puppy Pebbles could have passed for an identical twin to Mellan!! She passed away last year ( she was 12..sonot really a puppy – but you know how theyll always be puppies to us) but every single time I see a picture of Mellan I think of pebbles. Bless his puppy heart 🙂

Adrenaline junkie? Not really. More ‘ballet-and/or-makeup–induced endorphin junkie’, really. 😀 Most of the adrenaline in my life comes from performance: conference presentations, orchestra performances, ballet recitals, and it’s the gut-churning kind of adrenaline that I’m perfectly happy to keep to those isolated occasions, hehe!

How are the new Burberry eyeshadows?
They are being delivered today, yay. I’ll come back later and tell you what I think ;).
They are my new favorite Burberry shadows! So glad I picked them up. I think they’ll create the perfect smoky eyes. Storm Grey is just as smooth and buttery like most Burberry shadows, while Graphite is a bit drier (like Midnight Blue), but still just as smooth and gorgeous. I love them!

I never thought of myself as an adrenaline junkie before I was told (repeatedly, by a number of close friends and family) that I was one, so… eh. Adrenaline, yes; roller-coasters and fast cars, no. There’s only so much enjoyment you can get from high speeds when you’ve studied traumatic brain injuries extensively for four years, you know?

Haul: I got my last HauteLook order in last week, from the Stila sale. Finally got to learn what Stila Kitten was all about, but I think overall the pressed pigments were a little more interesting.
Weekend: Might buy a car? If it’s not too good to be true, think we found a good deal on a low-mileage Camaro (I like the body style previous to the new ones), if so I’ll be getting it. I’ve been driving the same car for ten years, so it’ll be a big change if I do!
Adrenaline: I don’t know? I LOVE roller coasters, but most of them aren’t the least bit scary anymore? I just get on them, put my arms up in the air, and go whee. I don’t think I’d ever want to skydive, or anything.
Do you think Kitten will be a staple for you?

I missed most of Friday’s posts..crazy day.. so backtracking and late, but had to just die of cuteness overload with Mellan and Rudolph. I grew up watching the classic x-mas cartoons/animated shows from the 50’s and Rudolph here is a perfect stuffed copy. OMG I love it.. and all I can think in my head:
“She thinks I’m cuuuuuuuute”…
Love that moment in the show. The abominable snowman scared the sh*t outta me when I was a kid. Haha
LOL! It is such a great copy of it, too.

adrenaline junkie: before I became ill with autoimmune.. of course, riding two to three horses every day and then on the side: downhill skiing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, atv’ing, jet skiing.. I wasn’t happy, couldn’t relax unless I was doing something that involved speed and a healthy amount of recklessness..or what I would label controlled risk-taking. Of course, I have a couple of concussions under my belt, countless falls. So mid 40’s when I became Ill, it changed me rather profoundly. I miss this part of my personality a lot at times, but have made my peace..most of the time.
Happy to hear that you’ve been able to make peace with the change – and at least you were able to take so many controlled risks for awhile before, so you have the experience and memories!
Haul: I was bad this week. Hourglass ambient lighting palette, arch brow sculpting pencil, and diffused heat blush, also dune eyeshadow duo. The nars loose finishing powder, and mata hari blush. Dolce and gabbana daring and iconic lipsticks, the blush in tan (new hg contour!), and perfect luminous creamy foundation.
Plans: its my moms birthday, so spoiling her! Also laundry haha.
Adrenaline junkie: oh gosh yes. While i dont think id skydive, i love “exploring” in dark alleys in foreign cities, and all things fast and mechanical. Im the grand daughter and girlfriend of race car drivers…it happens 🙂

I’m really impressed with everything, and happy I found a match in the brow pencil. The ambient lighting palette is actually much more flexible on my disturbingly pale, olive skin than i thought. But that eyeshadow duo is an absolute godsend. I cant stop wearing it, and its so flexible for just two shades! The texture is also divine.

From Maybelline two sheer lipsticks, Mango Diamonds 445 and Pink Diamonds 145.
From Nyx, lipstick in Snow White and Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese.
From MAC, eyeshadows in Satin Taupe, Jest, Coppering and Star Violet.Lipstick Pedro Laurenco Ruby, Mineralize Charged Water and three brushes, 208, 219 and 239.
From Benefit they’re real push-up liner. I do thing this will take a bit of getting used to for me. First attempt wasn’t so good, obviously you have to be quite quick using it after clicking up the gel. I think I was way too slow.
Weekend, relaxing and on Sunday colour my hair.
Adrenalin junkie, sometimes, yes. I love speed, I used to skii downhill, not a very good skier, but I did love it. Horseback jumping was another thing I loved doing, until I really hurt myself in a fall. Clumsy me! I’m afraid of heights though, so I daren’t try sky diving, but it seems amazing.
Mellan is extra cute in this photo, with his big toy. I love the look in his eyes. He is such a cute dog!

The Benefit eyeliner has a huge learning curve, IMO, and for the amount of product and waste that can occur, it can be frustrating. It is definitely bulletproof, though, lol!

Haul: 20% off Armani sale! 😀 Light Master Primer, Luminessence CC Cream, Cheek Fabric blush in 506, and Lip Maestro lipstick in Dark Velvet. Also won the Fabric Sheer #11 on ebay, and it is gorgeous!
Weekend plans: Went shopping and had lunch with my friend, volunteered at the Humane Society with my husband. Maybe go to a movie tomorrow, but probably should clean my bathroom!
Are you an adrenaline junkie?: I don’t even like going too fast on my bike! Although I would like to try zip lining…in a very controlled environment.

Haul:
Dogs got a wading pool, actually it’s a Little Tykes and box w/ lid, very sturdy. And since the hounds are both little, it’s fun for splashing. The cover keeps out any detritus from the nearby sparrow’s nest..
Two weeks @ U + S:
U: Jack B, Butter London red l/s, NYX Chic Red (you saved me on the Roxo, which i could probably never get anyway…..) and Orange Soda. That shade is neat. Sheer, it ‘s a light, milky creamsicle + heavy, it’s a total flashback to 1962, when even I was too young to wear lipstick…{certainly doesn’t mean i didn’t OWN any, just only wore them in the closet, so to speak.)
S: Got + returned S’s eye makeup remover, stings. Summerstash: a customer had swapped out some of the products + it did not get replaced. BE concealer: had ordered online but was smart enough to try in-store, rather than at home, so it could be returned to stock. Did finally cave on Monarch: very nice. Dragon Girl + Buxom Tokyo l/s. The Guerlain l/s named after their scents intrigued me, and i think they are next.
Adrenaline: I HATE rides 2nd to queasy. Skydiving terrifies me. Scuba diving is the opposite of adrenaline: very relaxing. Like sightseeing in another world. Also, I don’t quite understand the concept of eustress, anyway.
I want to get Mellan a little wading pool that’s not too expensive but is still sturdy enough for his big self!

Weekend plans: After going on a business trip with not much sleep and another day with my team at a kind of “rollercoster park” I need to recharge like you, Christine.
