  • Haul: MAC x Nicopanda (might have been late last week, actually… but I forgot to mention it!), Becca Dreamsicle, Sephora Bronzers, Givenchy Khol Couture (two shades), Sunday Riley The Influencer Foundation, Kiehl’s Creme de Corps Smoothing Oil Body Cleanser
  • Weekend plans: I’ve been a few days ahead on the blog, which is such a great feeling — well, ahead in the sense of having posts written and ready to go. I want to keep that up, so I’m hoping to spend a full day just adding dupes and then the second day writing up reviews.
  • Hot or cold beverages?: When I look at what I drink most often (lattes and decaffeinated tea), it seems like hot!

HAUL: Bobbi Brown Capri Nudes eyeshadow palette and Face Base Cream, then I got a free full size ink gel liner in Indigo. I haven’t tried any of them yet. I’m only familiar with Bobbi’s highlighter so I’m really excited to try these, but I think I’m going to put them aside until I “pan” or phase out some of my current items. I’m trying to not have SO many items going at once. And ultimately buy less, of course.

WEEKEND: food festival and a concert

I mostly drink hot or tepid beverages as well lol. Coffee of course and I don’t add ice to my water… I like room temp wine. Even a good tap ale isn’t that cold.

Tammy Avatar

Indigo sounds like it could be pretty.

I like my wine room temperature too! When I go out to eat I always ask for room temperature bottled water or no ice. I usually carry a bottle of water everywhere I go, so if they don’t have anything room temperature, I can handle it myself.

What a sweet face!

Haul: The only makeup I bought was Sephora Lipstories Lipstick in Oui. I also got a two-for-one deal on replacement brush heads from Clarisonic. My current obsession is fragrance. I bought a full size Miss Dior Eau de Parfum and three travel size perfumes: Nirvana Black, Armani Code, and Mugler Angel Muse. For anyone who read my previous haul in which I ranted about rude Sephora sales asociates, I’m happy to report that I found a fourth Sephora store in a mall that I never go to (because it’s a long drive) and the SA who helped me there was super nice. As I was checking out, she even said something I’ve never heard from a Sephora employee before: “Thank you for being VIB!”

Weekend plans: Family birthday dinner (not mine), get-together with friends, weekly chores, and avoiding stores that sell makeup and fragrance.

Hot or cold beverages: Actually, I prefer room temperature.

Seraphine Avatar

Thanks, I know you have a perfume blog, so that makes me feel good about what I bought!!

(Any idea why Guerlain Aqua Allegoria is impossible to find in stores? I’m interested in Pamplelune, but afraid to blind buy something that expensive.)

Michele @Binxcat4ever Avatar

🙂 Guerlain can be hit or miss to find. I think Saks has it. And Fragrance.net also carries some of the line. Fragrance.net has Pamplelune in stick for $34.44 4.2 oz with their current 35% off coupon. I’ve bought from them before and their bottles are authentic. I think I’ve seen that fragrance somewhere else as well. Can’t think of it offhand right now though.

Michele @Binxcat4ever Avatar

I’ve bought from them before as have a few people in the fragrance groups I belong to. I have no idea other than cutting out the middle man in sales. There are a few legit discount sites. I know that some people in the groups use another one – perhaps Fragrance X or something. i haven’t bought from them before so can’t comment. The alternatives of course are to sign up for all the high ends stores as well as the boutiques as all of them run deals fairly often. The owner of Beverly Hills Perfumery also will match sale pricing assuming he has the stock. You can also get samples inexpensively from a number of boutiques like Beverly Hills perfumery, Osswald NY, Indiescents, Luckyscent, and Perfumology.

Tammy Avatar

I am glad you had a good experience at Sephora. I’ve worked in cosmetics for almost a decade (it’s my second job) and a good beauty adviser should treat all customers with equal respect and enthusiasm. Young women actually spend less overall, as they do not usually have the disposable income (still in college, new in their careers, raising a family, etc.) Also, as we age we tend to invest more $$$ in good skincare. I have found too, as I get older, I need better formulas for primer, foundation, powder, eye shadows, mascaras, blushes, highlighters, lip liners, lipsticks, and glosses. I am willing to invest more money for a product that will work better with my changing needs.

Seraphine Avatar

I actually had a good experience at one of my local Sephoras today, which is one of the stores where I’ve had problems in the past. There were a couple of SAs I’d never seen before and they were both great. It feels like I let out this big rant last week and now the universe is proving me wrong…Lol!!!

Genevieve Avatar

That’s OK Seraphine – maybe someone up in the universe read your rant and directed a helpful SA your way…….
I am a perfume junkie too – I have so many that I store them in linen closet right outside my eldest son’s bedroom door. He’s always yelling out, “OK Mum, 4 sprays are enough….we can all smell it”
My fav’s are Poeme, La Dolce Vita (DIor), Knowing (EL), Aromatics by Clinique and Elizabeth and James Rouge (I think). Anyway, just love perfumes.

Seraphine Avatar

Speaking of Elizabeth and James, I just bought Nirvana Black and I absolutely adore it! It might wind up as one of my favorites. I’m not a person who usually buys products by celebrities, but this perfume is just gorgeous, and the retro-ish bottle is magnificent, too.

Joyce Avatar

Haul Quite un-glamorous but a tub of CeraVe cream (mixed in with medication) to help with postpartum itching. It is BAD—I can’t stop scratching!

Weekend plans: Still adjusting to life with a newborn! Nothing out of the ordinary. Maybe get some freezer prep meals going since I couldn’t do it before baby came early ?

Hot or cold beverages?: Hmm… cold I think! I like to drink things quickly most of the time, but I certainly do enjoy a nice hot cuppa coffee :S

kjh Avatar

Esp if you give up caffeine during your pregnancy! When you go back to full caff, after zero or half, you realize what a drug the innocuous caffeine really is. Have fun on your maternity leave.

Joyce Avatar

I haven’t introduced coffee back in yet. I would’ve been okay with a small cup once a day while pregnant, but it started tasting weird to me. So bizarre! I haven’t had coffee in months. I’m thinking an iced coffee before hot is the way to go right now 😉

Genevieve Avatar

You certainly need to drink quicky when you have a bubba because there is no telling when you’ll get another chance.
I hope all is going well and that she is starting to sleep a bit better at night. I remember making the couch my friend…..
The itching will be because your scars are healing, so the creams will help.

Joyce Avatar

Hi Genevieve!

He’s doing great. Already gaining weight and sleeping well. Last night was a bit rough. He’s started wanting to eat 3 oz every 1.5-2 hours. He’s usually a good 1:1 ratio of ounces to hours.

Is that why I’m so itchy?! I’ve lost over 20lbs in 2 weeks. It started on my belly then spread to my sides, boobs, butt, legs, and arms. I only have scars on my belly, but maybe my skin is shrinking too quickly? Lol who knows. I just hope this medicine works because I’m miserable!

Rk Avatar

If you’re that itchy you could have PUPPS. It’s more common during pregnancy but not unheard of after it. I had it after my first daughter and it was pure misery. Your ob should be able to prescribe steroids to clear it up

Genevieve Avatar

Sorry, your bubba is a boy. You will have great nights and absolutely shocking ones, with no apparent reason either. He sounds really healthy Joyce and both of you are doing a great job as first parents.
As far as your itchiness is concerned, it could be that your hormone changes are causing the itchiness, but perhaps you need to go back to the doctor to check it out.
You’ve done well to lose the excess weight, it shows you how much the baby takes up inside you.

Alice Avatar

Haul: From the Sephora sale – KvD Lolita eye shadow, Amika dry shampoo full size, MILK makeup blur stick mini and watermelon serum full size, Urban Decay Troublemaker palette.
From ulta sale – Tree Hut sugar scrub, NYX hi def photo concealer and lip primer.
I’m also thinking of picking up the Smashbox Punked cover shot palette but I haven’t seen swatches yet so :/

Weekend Plans: grocery shopping & usual cleaning, game night with some friends.

Hot or cold drinks: hot in the winter, cold in the summer.

Katherine T. Avatar

*Sephora VIB Rouge Sale – Guerlain Rouge G # 74 in K Doll Case (my first Rouge G!!!! color and case are gorgeous!) *MAC x Patrick Starr in Me So Chic -awesome deal

Haul:
Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer: Helped me get through the last two weeks of winter. I noticed my face felt tight despite morning moisturizer, added this. Helped my foundation apply better.
Bobbi Brown vitamin Enriched Face Base: I would like this quite a bit better if it didn’t have fragrance. Will use it, but not repurchase. I prefer Laura Mercier Hydrating primer.
This spring haul (from Sephora and Ulta) has been my best haul ever. All the products I’ve tried are anywhere from good to very good. Here are the products:

Pat McGrath Labs Mothership Sublime Platinum Bronze eyeshadow palette: I got all three of Pat’s new palettes, but right now, I can’t put this one down. I’ve never had a dark matte shadow, perform as well as the matte (Deep Velvet) in this palette. It seems I cannot mess it up. In fact, all these shadows seem to blend themselves. All I have to do is place them on my lid and the shadows do the rest. I particularly love Ritualistic, which has sort of a plum/mauve cast to it, and Telepathic, which is a golden taupe that pulls just a little olive. Pat McGrath’s colors are complex, which I suppose is a big selling point for all her palettes. I am wearing Platinize on inner lid, Telepathic Taupe on outer 1/2 of lid, with Deep Velvet in the crease. I added Destiny from Anastasia’s Subculture palette as liner for upper and lower lash line. My biggest issue with these shadows is they tend to get messy as the day wears on, so today I am using a MAC Paint Pot for primer and I finished by spraying with Fix +.

Pat McGrath La Vie En Rose and Bronze Ambition: I’ve played with both and they are excellent quality. I need not have worried as much as I did that these would disappoint. They definitely don’t!

Sephora Contour Eye Pencil in Blonde Ambition: This is my second purchase, as I wanted one for home and one to carry in my purse. I use this almost daily in my lower waterline to brighten and open up my eyes.

Pretty Vulgar Shimmering Swan Highlighter in Lilac Lust. I knew I had to have this the minute I saw Christine’s review. It’s absolutely lovely for spring, both in the cheeks and on the eyes.

Drunk Elephant Polypeptide Cream. I was so glad Drunk Elephant came out with a peptide cream. I used peptides on top of Retin A. Now I can buy my peptide cream from my favorite skincare company.
Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat: A gift for my daughter, she loved it.

Urban Decay Heat Vice Lipstick: I haven’t decided if I’m going to keep this for myself or give it to my daughter, so it remains unopened.

Nars Narsissist Wanted Cheek Palettes in Volume 1 and 2: Love, love, love these! Notorious from palette 1 is a perfect transition shade when using the Pat McGrath Platinum Bronze palette, to help add just a little soft lavender to the overall look. Today I am wearing Buzzed, Bumpy Ride, and Unlimited.

Anastasia Amrezy highlighter: This was an impulse purchase; I already have so many amazing highlighters. So glad I took a chance on this, it is a very pigmented and shiny highlight that works just as well on the lids as it does on the cheeks.

Becca Soft Light Blurring Powder: I heard about this from one of my over-40 beauty bloggers and decided to give it a try. After 50, I’ve found powders to be more difficult, as they often create texture, accentuate wrinkles, and just generally look dry. This is a very nice powder, highly recommended for anyone who is having issues with powder aging them but still would like something to set their make up.
Buxom Va Va Plump Shiny Liquid Lipstick in Lights Down. Love all the Buxom lip products, and this is no exception. I plan on purchasing four more.

NARS Highlighting powder in Forte De France: This is an understated highlighter for a more sophisticated look. I tend to prefer bolder highlighters but this one is certainly lovely. I wore it yesterday and it gave my cheeks a healthy sheen. It got even better as the day wore on. It did not accentuate texture or wrinkles.

IT Velvet Luxe LBD Foundation Brush: Christine put this in one of her posts and I decided to purchase it. I have not yet used it.

As I said before, this is the best haul ever. I am so happy with all my new goodies.

I will have to talk about weekend plans in the afternoon. I have to head over to my next clinic!

Michele @Binxcat4ever Avatar

Wow amazing haul! the McGrath sounds like it’s to die for! I had to return my My Pretty Vulgar highlighter because it came so smashed it was just powder. I may try to pick it up in person at some point. I was curious about the Buxom when it launched. Good to know you like it well enough to buy other shades. Maybe I’ll take a look at them this weekend. Thanks for your thoughts on your buys!

Weekend plans:

I think I mentioned having menopausal difficulties in my recent posts. After two weeks of sleeping five or less hours nightly, experiencing brain fog and moodiness that were indescribable, and dealing with water retention that actually made my face swollen (not to mention dramatically changing the numbers on my scale), I made an appointment with my gynecologist to figure out what I can do. The gynecologist could not see me until mid-May, so I did some research on my own to see what I could do on my end.

For sleep I have started taking a nighttime cocktail of magnesium, calcium, GABA, L-tryptophan, Valerian root, Ashwagandha, Chamomile, and 5-HTP. For the hot flashes, which interrupt my sleep but are not entirely responsible for my lack of sleep, I have started taking Black Cohosh, Dong Quai, Licorice Root, and Chaste Tree Berry. For water retention I am taking vitamin B-6, Evening Primrose Oil, and reducing salt intake. For my swollen face, I am now sleeping with my head elevated and training myself to sleep on my back. And for overall health I am reducing my consumption of sugar, alcohol, bad carbs, and coffee.

It’s only been three days but I have slept the past two nights, I am able to think and my mood has been cheerful, my scale is reading the right number, and my face is no longer swollen.

So this weekend I am going to continue my research into dietary choices I can make to help with this transition. I got onto r/menopause on Reddit and between the severity of the symptoms I read about there and the severity of the symptoms I was experiencing, I was scared into action, lol.

We got the news this week all Bon-ton stores will close. I got a notice yesterday that my Bergner’s credit card has been deactivated. I believe my store will close this weekend, two weeks ahead of schedule, but I have yet to verify this. I am sad for what the impact the closing of Bon-ton and Toys-R-Us is going to do for our local economy and in other communities. Our community will lose approximately 500-600 jobs just from the loss of these two stores.

I like just about everything hot, warm, or at room temperature. Despite hot flashes, I am a small woman and once I am chilled on the inside (via a cold drink), there is very little hope for me to return to a stable level of warmth. I have heaters in all eight clinics where I work and in the trunk of my car. I carry extra sweaters and jackets with me everywhere I go, even in the summer.

Deborah S. Avatar

As if one reply isn’t enough I thought I would go for two! I didn’t see the comment about Bon-Ton closure. We don’t have the Bon-ton stores here in Montana but we have the equivalent, Herberger’s. I received my notice I think day before yesterday, that they were deactivating their accounts and filing bankruptcy. They didn’t say that the stores would be closing but the card deactivation notice came the night they did it so no pre-warning. I had just told my daughter to use my card to buy the Lancôme Teint Idole foundation that we had looked at and got samples of while I was in Missoula. So many brick and mortar stores just aren’t able to make it and in a small community like Missoula I am surprised that the Herberger’s has made it this long. They are in the same little mall as Dillard’s, Sears and J. C. Pennys. Sears has closed and J. C. Penny’s has been rumbling about closing but they just got word that they are adding a Sephora so that may keep them going. It will be the only Sephora in Western Montana so we will see.

Tracey E. Avatar

Hi Tammy, I was follow the Bon Ton situation carefully as it’s where I buy cosmetics and have relationships with MUAs. The hopeful signed letter of intent changed so quickly to going out of business that it caught many off guard. There were tears in the eyes of an experienced counter manager who was still absorbing the shock, not knowing if applying makeup at the counter (vs. putting it out on the counter for sale) would last much longer. Customers looked forlorn, though there seemed to be more milling about than buying as the liquidation ‘sales’ were light. My heart goes out to the employees in the stores and at head office in Milwaukee. I hope a low unemployment rate can make use of their talents. The impact to local communities will be felt immediately.

Deborah S. Avatar

Hi Tammy,
Did the paint pot improve the length of wear on the PML shadows? I am inching towards buying one palette to try out and everyone says how amazing they are but you mentioned they get “messy” by the end of the day? I am also rethinking which one to buy as I naturally leaned towards the La Vie En Rose palette and really didn’t feel drawn to either of the others but after reading your descriptions I am thinking that the Sublime Bronze sounds more interesting. Anyway, please feel free to enable me, LOL!!!

Tammy Avatar

The shadows did perform better with the Paint Pot and Fix+, but I was still inclined to touch up my lid color before going out with my husband. (I had been wearing the shadows for 11 hours at the time I touched them up, so it wouldn’t be uncommon for anyone to do a touch up at this point.) I do have to let you know, Pat McGrath’s formula isn’t the only formula that does not last the day on me. I don’t consider my lids overly oily or anything, and as I age they actually have gotten dry, at least in the morning. I struggle with primers anymore due to texture on my eyelids, but for me, the Pat McGrath shadows require a primer.

Tammy Avatar

AJ, one person’s favorite is another person’s last choice. I don’t think we know until we try it how we feel about it. Over time I may come to love La Vie En Rose the best, or maybe Bronze Ambition.

Now you just have something to look forward to trying in the future.

AJ Avatar

So true! Bronze Ambition was a bit of a step outside the box for me because I gravitate more towards cool colors (like in the Platinum Bronze palette!). So I think it will be good for me to stretch and play a bit.

(The orange eyeshadow in my profile pic was a big stretch for me but I ended up loving how it looked)

Nikki Avatar

Tammy, I recently bought Urban Decay’s Scorched lipstick (it’s a decent-I’d say 92-95%-dupe for my beloved and discontinued Kat Von D Thin Lizzy-the only real differences seem to be that Scorched has smaller metallic particles and slightly less of a pink tone) and it’s working out really well for me. Good luck on Heat!

Jessica Avatar

Haul: Sunday Riley Influencer foundation (240), Lancome Skin Feels Good BB Cream (I grabbed 8N last week, but it’s a touch too dark, so I ordered 4N to see if that will be a better match), Biossance Gel Moisturizer, Biossance physical sunscreen, Drunk Elephant C-Tango eye cream, Tarte Knockout Tingling Treatment, Juvia’s Place Saharan II palette, Juvia’s Place Saharan Blush Palette vol. 1, Juvia’s Place Zulu Palette.

Weekend plans: I’ll be washing my hair, maybe going to see Hamilton again, and going to see the amazing Pole Kisses show.

Hot or cold beverages?: It really depends on what I’m eating or what I’m doing. At work, I mostly drink hot tea (reg., decaf, and/or herbal), but at home I reach for ice cold water and sometimes chilled juice.

Jessica Avatar

It’s a really pretty foundation and feels really amazing on the skin. However, it’s more of a light to medium coverage, and that was when using my fingers. I would only use it with fingers or a sponge b/c a brush completely sucked up all the product. But my preferred way to apply would be with my fingers b/c the sponge sucked a little too much product for my liking.

It reminds me a lot of the Lancome Skin Feels Good Skin Tint, but the SR is a bit thicker in consistency. I’m pretty torn between the two. I do have hyper-pigmentation so I’m basing it on which covers that better and they’re pretty on par with one another. I’m going to keep playing with it b/c I’ve only worn it 2x, Saturday & today. Saturday it lasted about 10 hours, but I definitely would need to powder.

It definitely something that falls in line with the SR range of products. It feels like skin care and it’s super lightweight.

Kat Avatar

Haul: I placed a Sephora sale order just a minute ago! I snapped up the Marc Jacobs Tan-Tastic bronzer, the Olaplex treatment, and a double set of Clarisonic sensitive brush heads. I’m going to the mall in a few hours with a friend to buy fun stuff, and I’m pretty sure I’m going to get the Fenty Gloss Bomb! With my 20% off Ulta coupon I also got the NARS tinted moisturizer in Finland and the Stila liquid lipstick in Sheer Ballerina, which I’ll return because I think I should try the ColourPop Ultra Blotted lipstick first.

Weekend Plans: Tonight, I have the end-of-year banquet for my honors program, which should be nice. Since I’m graduating, i’ll be getting a certificate and all of that.
On Saturday, my class is going up to Poughkeepsie to do a field trip, which will be a long drive but hopefully worth it. That’s one of the reasons I love being in geology, we still get to go on field trips! And on Sunday my roommate is going to give me a driving lesson. I just never got around to getting my license and I really need to learn. I can’t have a college degree and no driver’s license! (I’m excited to graduate, can anyone tell by how much I keep mentioning it?)

Hot or Cold Beverages: Probably cold! I love a cup of hot tea or cocoa on a cold rainy day, but I think I drink cold beverages the most. I drink a ton of seltzer and diet soda (and yes, I know it’ll probably kill me someday), as well as ice tea, which I started making at home to avoid the sugar.

kjh Avatar

Yay, graduation! Though something tells me you will be a perennial student. People do get used to not driving; I drive more than one of them. But it puts you in the position of dependency, which you really do not want. Plus, there are plenty of jobs that require driving from A to B, even during the same day. As a retired person, no one wants you full time. My pro job is in 3 different suburban settings that I could not reach or snag a ride to. It may be the hardest thing of all, but do not put yourself behind the proverbial 8 ball by putting it off, until it is virtually impossible.

Tammy Avatar

Congratulations on graduating!

I, too, did not “get around” to learning to drive. My husband taught me to drive when I was 24. I may be the only American who did not learn to drive as a teenager.

I love Marc Jacobs bronzers! I’ve worn mine almost daily for about a year, and all the ridges are still visible. I don’t know what it will take to make it look used. But what I love about it is how good it makes my skin look. Enjoy!

AJ Avatar

Congratulations on your graduation 🙂

I was another person who put off learning to drive — when I was 16 my parents told me I couldn’t get my learner’s permit until I could get a job to pay for my gas and the increased insurance costs. Yeah they had no idea how impossible it was for a teenager to get a job in the 90s! So I just didn’t learn until I was in my late 20s. Now I’m unstoppable. I drove from AZ to the Bay Area by myself — twice! Once as a round trip, then the second time I kept on driving and went from the Bay to Seattle, as I was moving there.

Being able to drive is a great freedom, especially if you live someplace with poor public transportation options.

Haul: tickets to an event, need to buy more clothes

Weekend plans: date tonight…I’m nervous and excited! Tomorrow I will hit up a library book sale (my favorite things to go to!)

Hot or cold beverages?: cold, nothing more refreshing than a cold glass of water

Z. Avatar

Haul: devacurl no poo, low poo, one condition, and wave maker; living proof 5-in-1 styling treatment; herbivore lapis oil; sephora lipstories cream lipstick in oui; and nudestix nude(art)ist kit for eyes (can you tell it was the VIB sale at all?)

Weekend plans: On Saturday, changing from snow tires to all seasons (crazy, I know). On Sunday hopefully going for a hike or something outdoorsy – hoping to take advantage of the sun being out for the first time in weeks.

Hot or cold beverages?: I tend to only drink water, and I like it at room temperature because my teeth are so sensitive.

Mellan is so adorable!

I haven’t been around on here for a while, but it’s nice to be back!

Recent Hauls:

Sephora VIB Sale:
-3x Belif Moisturizing Bomb (for my husband, and also for me when my skin is feeling in need of extra mouisture)
-Sunday Riley Flash Fix set with a small size of Good Genes and the Ceramic Slip Cleanser (mainly curious to try Good Genes and see if it is really superior to the results I have been getting with low-cost acids)
-Sephora Favorites Power of the Petal set (small size trials of Caudalie Premier Cru the Eye Cream, Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial™, Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil, Farmacy Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask with Echinacea GreenEnvy™, Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask®, IT Cosmetics Secret Sauce Clinically Advanced Miraculous Anti-Aging Moisturizer, Kate Somerville ExfoliKate® Intensive Exfoliating Treatment, Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cleanser, SEPHORA COLLECTION Hair Sleeping Mask in Rose)
-Shieseido Face Cottons (curious what the fuss is all about), Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask (I use this every day…love)
-Tarte Pamper & Prep Set (I love face oils, and Maracuja oil as my first oil love…this set has a small size of the oil and a couple other goodies to test out)
-2x Sephora Lash Stash to Go (I love the Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara, and this set lets you get a full size of it and five minis for $2 less than the cost of just the mascara)
-Cinema Secrets Makeup Cleaner Starter Kit (it took me HOURS to wash my brushes last time, and I waited far too long to wash them because it’s so tedious…I’m hoping this will give me a quicker option for more regular disinfecting)
-Drunk Elephant C-Tango Eye Cream (so $$$ to me, but I’m curious to try it…I have some freckling under my eyes that accentuates my circles, and I’m hoping the Vitamin C in this will help)

All of this totaled just under $340 (after tax, not counting measly 2.5% back through Ebates). When my husband got home, I asked him how much he thought I spent on the Sephora VIB sale. He guessed $45…oops.

On that note…if anyone has any experience with any of the above products, positive or negative, please share if you feel inclined to do so! The Power of Petal set and the Drunk Elephant eye cream are the two biggest impulse buys…and the Tarte one, since I have so many oils (I need The Ordinary to make a Maracuja oil!)…but with Sephora’s new stricter return policies, I guess I’m stuck with all of it, unless I want a “bad mark” on my record!

I also have some other orders waiting for me in the U.S. (I stock up during my visits back!):
– Naked Basics small palette from UD (used my $10 off kickback to get it for under $10…it will be a companion palette to the Naked Heat one my friend has for me as a late birthday gift, and I plan to leave them in the U.S. so I don’t have to bring eyeshadows back and forth with me) and Good Karma powder brush
– The Ordinary Sea-buckthorn Fruit Oil, Lactic Acid 10%, Borage Seed Oil, and Retinol .5% in Squalene
– Anastasia eyeshadow singles (I ordered these a couple months ago!) in Dusty Rose, Bling, Baby Cakes, and Buon Fresco, as well as Dip Brow

My family will once again think I’m crazy when I get there and collect my packages!

Tammy Avatar

I use the DE Marula oil (good stuff) and Exfolikate is a classic (I’ve used it and it’s fine). Seriously, everything Drunk Elephant makes is good, and some of it is great. Most importantly, with DE I can trust they have the ingredients I want, packaged in a way where it actually works, and none of the ingredients I don’t want on my skin. I know I’m taking good care of my skin whenever I choose DE.

I really want to try that hair sleeping mask in Rose, just because I want to wake up with my hair smelling like roses!

stellar82 Avatar

Thanks! I use The Ordinary Marula, but I have used the DE one in the past and it was nice. More for under my eyes, as it’s heavy for my combination skin. I am excited to try the baby facial and the eye cream! I used to LOVE the TLC Glycolic serum, but it’s rather expensive, so I have been using other acids. The two cleansing bars were just okay, and B-Hydra caused some breakouts for some reason. I just recently tried to use it again and had the same result. Still, I love the Drunk Elephant brand and packaging, for sure!

haul: far too much. second S today w/3 VLGs and the marked down eye palette.. to be HLs, prob. U: UD En Fuego, Per-fekt concealer, Ofra stand-up Z style palette, ofra blush godet in Rose, Garnier and Skinfood cleansing cloths, LL and BH Blacklight HL, and some replacement stuff. All set for offbeat HL for life! On the way to Trader Joe’s the other day, noticed that Ulta is going in way close, at the shipyard. 10 years ago, an hour away, now 2 w/in 10 miles! Big HL haul of Demeters, some as gifts, thanks to Muse. Debating some Matriarch, thanks to Michele. And some Marimekko, etc from Uniqlo, when I have no idea about sizes, as here I lie, under a 70s Marimekko quilt from DR, blast from the past for you old Boston/Cambridge folks… Plans: ssdw. Bevvies: hot coffee, followed by turmeric-ginger, ginger, and mint teas, usually all, daily. Flavored seltzers or water at room temperature.

So….I’m not the only one! I still have a sleeveless A-line dress in yellow, that I had the 70s big collar cut down….and I think the tag says 73. Too cold to have that out yet! I have the reissue of the dark cobalt/white that I had in grad school @75-76, from the Door Store in Richmond, more recently from Pottery Barn, in sheets, duvet cover, towels, and shower curtain. Think the OG Apron was from Pappagallo. OMG, my mum (long gone) always said, ‘Well, if you had it once, it is not too extravagant to get again…and again…and again.’ Unfor-tunately, seems I believed her all too often. What goes around comes around, every 30-40 years! Got the polka tees, but doubt the pants will fit. And the VW, (years 25-37 of standard yellow beetle) and the AW soup can. Some dog ate one of the AW SC earrings, so left with a pendant. Also that vintage, from a bestie of now, 60 years. Plus ca change, plus ca reste meme chose. For me, it’s nostalgia; to others, it’s major OF and in a rut. Watch me GAS.

Beautylish: Make-Up Atelier Palette Eye Shadows (T07 Blue Tones, T11 Blue Green Tones)

House of Matriarch (50% off): Ambre Vie

LASplash Cosmetics (25% off with my Code BINX): Wickedly Divine Eyes (Fable, Triton, Invoke)

Ulta (20% off): UD Double Team Special Effects Colored Mascara (Deep End, Dime/Goldmine), ABH Mini Matte Lipstick Set (Pinks), Nyx Away We Glow Liquid Booster (Zoned Out)

Weekend plans: I think I only have a palette and the last 2 UD mascaras to swatch for tonight. I want to hold off and do my mani during the upcoming week so it’s nice for next weekend (girls’ weekend away). I’m working on getting my mojo back for writing my blog posts for my fragrance blog. I had skipped about 2 weeks and finally wrote another post for yesterday. I’m testing a M. Micalleff fragrance today so may write the review tomorrow.

Hot or cold beverages?: Half and half. I love my coffee but I also drink quite a bit of cold water and diet Snapple.

Michele @Binxcat4ever Avatar

I bought 5 of their pressed eyeshadows before this order and have a set of their makeup brushes already (the Unicorn ones). All of the pressed shadows are fantastic. Two arrived broken but I swatched them anyway. The brand immediately replaced the 2 broken shadows. The cases they come in are really nice. I was stunned about the brushes. I got the first set as a GWP. The brushes were so good, I placed a pre-order for the new set. For $20 (plus there are codes out there for 20% off), I’m happy. I haven’t received my 2nd pressed shadow order yet so can’t comment on those shades.

Mellan is very easy to love! ???

Haul: Placed my Rouge order at around 2 a.m. last Friday, received it Tuesday. Also went to the local Sephora and did get GA Ecstasy Laquer in Luce and Hourglass Gold Flash Vanishing Highlighter. That was one CRAZY shopping trip, though! Very overcrowded store. Very overwhelming, unpleasant experience. Plus, I had one SA who left me questioning my own Skin IQ results on record??? So, today my goal is to travel to where my friend works and have her redo it before opening my bottle of Fenty ProFilt’r up.

Weekend plans: Other than doing my hair, everything feels like it’s up in the air.

Hot or Cold drinks: Hot in the a.m., cold the rest of the day! Mostly water once I’ve finished my morning joe.

Deborah S. Avatar

I picked up the GA lacquer in Adrenaline and wore it all day yesterday. It felt very slightly drying by the end of the day on me. I have very easily dried, chapped and flaking lips so I felt like it was good for me. I didn’t get any chapping or flaking but definitely not moisturizing on my lips.

Erin Avatar

Haul: Slip pillow case and Farmacy Honey Drop from the VIB sale finally came in. I wanted to get a few other things but they were sold out.

Weekend: I’m really not sure other than food shopping.

Hot or cold: I like both! In the morning unless it’s blazing outside, I prefer hot chai or coffee. After breakfast hours, I’d prefer cold. Before bedtime, I’d prefer hot tea or if I’m in a nice restaurant maybe a cappuccino after dinner.

Mariella Avatar

Haul: the full sized bottle of Maison Margiela/Replica’s By the Fireplace fragrance and a replacement jar of Tarte’s Maracuja eye cream (I’m getting low and realized it made sense to get it now and save a whopping 15%….be still my heart!). I also took a look at the new/reformulated Sephora eyeshadows.

Weekend plans: a bit more baking for a bridal shower tomorrow and my younger son is coming back with us on Saturday (he’s in the city where the shower is so we’ll bring him back here) and we’ll celebrate his birthday on Sunday (his actual birthday was yesterday)

Hot or cold drinks…BOTH; in winter, well, hot drinks for sure but in summer, raspberry lemonade, a frappucino type drink, a vanilla soda….I mean, who could pass those up when the temperature is blistering?

Mariella Avatar

Katherine, these were the singles. I was on my way out and just stopped to take a quick gander. They are smaller than the previous ones (not a bad thing) and had it not been so crowded, I’d have asked a SA if they are designed, as the previous ones were, to be easy to de-pot. The 2 shades I swatched were glitter ones and one – Glitter Dress was REALLY glittery (as in “too glittery”) but the other one – Jump Into the Mud (what a name!) seemed quite nice. I want to go back when the store is less busy and really check them out. They’ve kept a few shades from the previous line – Roasted Chestnuts, Tree Hugger and Sir Yes Sir are 3 that I can recall – but I don’t know if (like MUFE) the new shades are the same as or different from the earlier ones of the same name.

Katherine T. Avatar

Thanks Mariella! Will check them out next time I’m in store. Let’s hope Sephora did a better job of reformulating than MUFE. I don’t even recognize some of these new MUFE shadows, as the quality and color are so different from the original, only thing they kept was the name 🙁

Haul: ABH singles: Dragonfly, Emerald, Orchid, and Love Letter. Also picked up Intense Gaze at TJ Maxx for $7 and it is very nice. Dragonfly is really beautiful! I tried it today and haven’t had any application problems. It is similar to Trendy in Tarteist Pro but applies and wears SO much better. Love Letter is as good as everyone says, and I’m looking forward to trying the others!

Weekend: I’m going to be outside. I don’t even care what I’m doing, as long as it is outdoors after this awful winter.

Beverages: Everything with double the ice, please!

Deborah S. Avatar

Haul: Nars Erdem release. I picked up the Fleur Fatale e/s palette, Loves Me blush, Larkspur lipstick and the multi-use highlighting pencil. From ColourPop I picked up 3 shadow compacts in Double Date, Fault Line and La Playa, 2 luxe lipsticks in Reverie and Dream Easy and the Saucy Pressed e/s palette. I have another Sephora order sitting in my cart and will probably process that tonight. I had ordered and received some DE skin care products and also a Giorgio Armani Lip Lacquer and so I am going to pick up another shade of lip lacquer and a couple of the DE products that I feel like I am really going to like. I got the “Littles” kit so that I could try several products in smaller sizes and I really like a couple so might add that to the haul.

Weekend plans: My daughter is home for two nights so we are going out to dinner, (my usual Friday night out with my brother and Mom to go to the big town and eat at the local diner!!) and then she and I are going to spend some time on the computer finalizing some of our plans for Europe.

Hot or cold beverages: I don’t have a preference. I tend to go more on a seasonal, read temperature, preference. In the winter I drink more hot tea and coffee and in the summer more ice tea. I had weaned off of soda’s about three years ago and then about 6 months ago I drank a coke and haven’t been able to break the habit again but I have just decided to not drink it any more so have been one whole week without one. It will help that my ex is not living with me any longer because he was a big soda drinker and always had it in the house. I usually can do it once I set my mind to it.

Deborah S. Avatar

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you about the Fleur Fatale pallete. I had some minor back surgery and then had an allergic reaction to some medication so I didn’t wear much makeup. You may have decided not to purchase this or alternately already purchased but wanted to let you know what I thought. I think the quality of the shadows is good. They are very pigmented and blend easily. The colors are well curated and it is easy to get eye looks with it. The shimmers are very shimmery and there in lies one of my minor issues. There is only one true matte shade and it is a medium to dark brown on the bottom left. It is way too dark for me to use as a transition shade and so the first time I used the palette I tried using one of the lighter shimmer shades as when finger swatched it didn’t appear to be too shimmery. It really showed up shimmery on my lids and emphasized the texture of my old eye lids. So after that, I pulled in a couple of other shades to use as transition and a matte brow bone although I don’t mind a shimmery brow bone highlight. The colors are all beautiful but they are a bit more subdued. They are obviously not bright shades. The bluish shade on the top right pulls a little more stone/deep grey-blue. Depending on what I use with it I can make it appear much bluer. Overall, I really like the palette. The shades remained true to color all day and I didn’t have any fading or fallout. I do routinely use eye shadow primer though.
Hope this is helpful if you haven’t already made a decision about the palette.

Haul! Much to report! Finally. Been on a no-buy, but it’s time to play!

In the Sephora sale and elsewhere I did some replenishing:
* EL Double Wear Foundation (backup)
* Hoola Bronzer Mini — I have a million bronzers. Now selling all of them. Truly, this is the one that works for me. Full stop. No need for others.
* Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Wheat. This is my 10th? 12th? tube of this product. Want your shadow to appear true and last? Get this.
* Nars Dual Intensity Blush in Adoration. In transit. Loved it at the Nordies counter. We’ll see.
* Nars x Erdem — Palette in Fleur Fatale and Love Me Not blush. In transit. Will check in.
* Viseart Absinthe — LOVE the greens and the mattes. The dark green matte is EVERYTHING! The shimmers and the stupid gold glitter is AWFUL. I am a die hard Viseart fan, but the quality of those two shadows should not be tolerated. I’ll keep it for the greens — with a grudge.
* Sephora Lip Stories in Spring Break
* Givenchy lippie in Brun Vintage
* Trish MvEvoy Gloss in Sexy Nude — probably by 4th tube of this shade
* Milani Blush in Romantic Rose. Was curious. Meh is my final opinion
* The Ordinary Marula Oil. Did a 50/50 test with Drunk Elephant for 30 days. Don’t waste your money on DE. DE = $70+. The Ordinary = $9.90. SAME THING. Trust me.

My true discovery the past four months has been skin care — NIOD serums. I didn’t want to post before giving these a solid, multi-month try. I am not afraid to spend on skin care or med treatments. I am still in the professional world, traveling the country and speaking so I need to stay in the game, pay attention, and use what works.

I have been a long-time devotee of Biologique Recherche, and P150 and Masque Vivant will NEVER leave my regimen. The rest of what I was using from the line was super expensive. I did some deep research to see what could replace/supplement.

I cannot recommend the following highly enough from NIOD. Use this combo for 30 days with your favorite day and night moisturizer and then tell me you aren’t blown away!

COPPER AMINO ISOLATE SERUM 2:1
MULTI-MOLECULAR HYALURONIC COMPLEX
NECK ELASTICITY CATALYST — A-MAZING!
FRACTIONATED EYE CONTOUR CONCENTRATE

Weekend Plans: My hubs is on his way home from a biz trip to Vancouver. Plan to lay low to let him rest up. He better hurry up because on Sunday, we’re having our son’s future in-laws over for dinner. WE’RE HAVING A WEDDING! Our 3rd son got engaged last weekend! We could not be more thrilled with this lovely, loving, beautiful inside-and-out young woman coming into our family officially. Her parents feel the same, so just us four oldies are going to toast to our good fortune!

Hot or Cold? Dear gawd, nothing with ice! Nearly ever. Warm, hot, or room temp is my jam.

LindaP Avatar

That’s the tip I needed to get the Sanskrit Saponis. I will try it and check out the cleanser too! Thanks. I am very impressed with the results of this line, and for the price point it’s a tremendous ROI.

Tammy Avatar

Thank you for your skincare recommendations. I will be purchasing the NIOD eye product next (I have two other products to use up before I purchase) and I plan to try the Biologique Recherche after I finish my current glycolic acid toner.

Congratulations on your son’s engagement!

So good to see you back, I have missed your posts.

Hi Linda, I have been curious about the Neck Elasticity Catalyst, so your review piqued my interest. I’ve been using the Fractionated Eye Concentrate for 6+ months and really like it though wonder I’ve maximized its benefits I can get from it so have added Hylamide SubQ Eyes once/day. I’ve also been testing Hylamide SubQ Anti-Age once/day (offsetting The Buffet once/day).

I have been turned off the brand with the owner’s continuing meltdowns though I have a stash that will take months to get through.

Linda P Avatar

Hi Tracey!

The neck cream — you will see results from day one. But this is the thing about maximizing the benefits of topical cosmetics, IMO — they can only do so much. The benefits will be maxed out, but the only way to notice is to stop using the product and then you see how much they mattered and the difference they made. Then we go back to using. 🙂

This is the thing I have learned as I have progressed through my 50s. After a certain point where you one uses the most efficacious products for skin HEALTH, then there is only one other thing that makes a difference. And it involves needles. Botox, fillers, etc. There is no way, no how a cosmetic cream or serum will ever produce the results of med intervention. The products matter — yes — but they are the cherry on top. There is no magic pill, or serum.

Personally, I will not go under the knife and have surgery, but I do preserve with some intervention in other ways. The NIOD and other products matter greatly, but not enough on their own to fight regular aging — and gravity. 🙂

That said — checking out the Hylamide recs! And Brandon — he’s a train wreck, and here’s hoping he keeps this going!

Katherine T. Avatar

Linda P, I got Viseart Absinthe, and feel the same! Love those greens and mattes, especially that darkened green! Don’t like 2 of the shimmers (the beige and gold ones), as the base sheers out, then all you get is shimmer/glitter. I know Viseart can do metallics/shimmers right, so they must’ve used a cheaper formula for those 2. My first try with my regular shadow brush was no go. But then I tried it with UD Moondust shadow brush, which is designed to pick up very shimmery/glittery shadows, and big improvement. Best to firmly pat on those 2 shades with the UD brush, so that the base and shimmer stick together. I used the light beige shimmer on inner corners, the gold shimmer in inner lid, the green shimmer in middle, then dark green matte on outer V. I used the WNW eye primer, but I’m also a fan of the LM Wheat, and I’m sure the LM will work even better, as it has a slightly tacky base that will allow shimmers to stick. Hope this helps!

LindaP Avatar

Hi Katherine!

That totally does help, thank you! After posting my displeasure this hit me like a ton of bricks…. I am carrying around $45 of resentment for my experience with that palette. So I went on social, expressed my displeasure with the quality of half the palette and the MUSE return policy. Lo and behold, MUSE contacted me.

I think if they allow me to return for a refund, I will. I really don’t want to work that hard to make eyeshadow work. I also don’t want use only the mattes. I’m usually more chill, but this has a bug up my bxtt for some reason.

In the meantime, I’ll use what I think is my closes UD Moondust brush dupe and try what you describe. 🙂 I’ll post about the outcome. xoxo

Katherine T. Avatar

Fingers crossed you can get those 2 shadows to work, or get a refund from Muse. Totally understand how you feel. Something that costs $45 and has the Viseart name should apply like butter, shouldn’t have to buy a special brush to make it work. But since I already had the UD Moondust brush handy, not a big deal for me, and I got the kit at 15% off, so that helps too. Let me know what happens, I’m curious!

Nancy T Avatar

Hi LindaP and Katherine, I also bought Absinthe. As soon as I swatched the khaki gold shade, I knew I was going to apply it with my fingertip, patting it into place. It did work, but next time, I will try applying it with a brush dampened with MAC Fix+ just to see if that will keep the glitter from migrating outside of where I applied it. The light pinky-beige shade didn’t give me as many issues.

Katherine T. Avatar

Yeah that gold shimmer shade is really tricky, as there are big dots of glitter than can fall out. Great idea on using fingers for that one, which reminds me, I also have a UD Finger brush that I can try!

Mariella Avatar

Maybe it’s not so bad that I’m holding back on Absinthe. FWIW, UD makes (or used to make) a glitter “brush” – really a silicone “wedge” – for applying glitter shadows and it really works. Lise Watier makes or made one too though that is of little help to those of you in the US. It would be worth a try if you can find something like this. *** I just checked and apparently ELF makes one as well – very inexpensive and probably a lot easier to get in the US.

Mariella Avatar

Congrats on your son’s engagement, LindaP! I was just at a bridal shower for a dear friend’s future daughter in law – a truly lovely young woman, also. It was so nice to meet her mom and close family as well as the groom’s auntie and close family friends who’ve known him since he was born. It is such an exciting time to see your adult child moving on to this next stage of life with a partner who will truly walk beside them. All the best – enjoy this time!

Haul: Absolutely nothing. I bought three new dresses and a pair of cute shoes instead.

Weekend plans: Locked room mystery afternoon and then to a gastro pub for dinner to celebrate a good friends 40th birthday.

Hot or cold beverages: Both! I like my coffee and tea absolutely steaming hot and I like my water and white wine icy cold 🙂

Ha ha, that would be the sensible thing to do, Genevieve! But I bought three very beautiful floral summer frocks on sale. They will look great with merino cardigans, tights and boots for the cooler weather though 😀

This is the perfect time to stock up on summer dresses for the rest of this season and next summer. Summer floral frocks never go out of style and teamed with what you have planned will look gorgeous.

Haul – nothing this week.

Weekend plans – It’s pretty quiet around here this weekend as our youngest son is studying for his upcoming exams in Accounting Masters. And our eldest son has a really bad cold, so it will be pretty restful here.

Hot/Cold drinks – I love my mornig cappacino and I also drink decaffinated tea, so it hot drinks for me too.

Haul: I didn’t expect to buy anything, but my closest Sephora is about 3 minutes away from my osteopath and I saw him today. SO, I swung into Sephora, dragging my dad along, with the hope that he would help me eliminate some items from my wishlist as he’s surprisingly discerning about things like makeup. He did help me eliminate a bunch of Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick shades, mainly due to my pale-ass skin tone or undertone (French dads, man, they’re good with that), or just asking me if I had similar items in similar formulas, but he actually convinced me to buy two of the shades I’d wanted since they came out, Arrowroot and Lotus Root (as he said, you’re gonna get them at some point, may as well save 15%). I also ended up picking up the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Re.Pair Serum (woah long name) for my redness as that’s an annoying issue I have and I’ll see if that works for it.

Weekend plans: I’ve had a rough 2 weeks due to lots of medical stuff, which was all good progress but it was a lot to take in and I’m still adjusting to the “workload” of it all (also I want to do evil things to my loud-at-all-hours neighbors but I won’t because that’s mean, instead we’re trying to find a way to move) so trying to stay calm and relaxed until I see the chiropractor on Tuesday (not for full on bone-cracking yet, probably more myofascial stuff) and then finally get some trigger point injections in my neck and shoulder on Wednesday to make sure my brain doesn’t develop yet another runaway pain pathway (this time in those places above AND now my jaw so yaay). But I found out my osteo does trigger point injections when I saw him today and he’s waaaay more available than the head of the major pain clinic here, who I currently see for them (she has an average of a 4 month waiting list) so it’s a huge relief to know that if an acute issue comes up I can deal with it, and I trust him to do a good job so that’s nice. Also muuuuch better location and about 1/4 the drive to the clinic he’s at than the major hospital she does them at. And near Sephora and other fun/bad places…

Hot or cold beverages?: If it’s hot out then cold, if it’s cold out then hot.

Haul: I kept it basic and just went with staples, no Pat McGrath palettes that I keep putting in and pulling out of my cart. Maybe I’ll take the plunge if they are still around for the 20% off sale. I have so many dupes, I just can’t justify it but they are so pretty and new and sparkly.

I’m late to the party because I knew I was going to Sephora after work and I wanted to actually have a haul to admit to 😉

Haul: Ok so I bought a few more things than I had planned at the VIB sale! I did finally get my Midnight Wasabi Fenty lipstick. And I restocked my FAB Facial Moisturizer and my Sugar lip balm. But I also got the Bite Beauty Kohlrabi liquid lipstick, one of the new metallic Sephora liquid lipsticks, and my partner talked me into the Pat McGrath Bronze Ambition palette. I didn’t even have my eye on it but I saw they actually had it in store and I was like “Hey I might as well swatch it” and well you can imagine how that went.

Also my partner got the new tinted FAB moisturizer with SPF (it was too warm for me but just right for them) and the rollerball sized “Gold” fragrance from Commodity (it was a close tie between that and Replica’s Jazz Club).

And I ordered the Viseart Absinthe palette.

Weekend plans: We’re going to a folk/mythpunk concert at a coffee house tonight, and tomorrow night I have a belly dance performance. Lots of excuses to wear my new makeup 🙂 Also going to try to get ahead on some of my blogging, and get started on packing for my CA trip (leaving on Weds).

Hot or cold beverages: Both, and room temperature, too. I drink hot tea every morning, no matter the weather. I like a nice cold iced tea. And cider, beer, and cocktails at whatever temperature they’re best sold at. And boba tea. And milkshakes. And hot tea lattes. And hot cider. And hot chocolate. And mead. I just really like beverages, OK?

Haul: Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palettes Exagger-eyes and Transform-eyes (names of these palettes ?), and an eyebrow wand; Bobbi Brown (25% off) Long-Wear Sparkle Shadow Stick in Prosecco (its beautiful, I should just get them all), and Art Stick in Rich Nude; Sephora 15% off) Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask, Dior Addict Lacquer Plump in Glitterati.

Weekend Plans: it’s birthday weekend, so a favourite dessert and lunch/dinner out. My birthday was made when my hometown Winnipeg Jets advanced to the second round of the playoffs! Celebrations continue in May when my twin sister comes to visit.

Hot or cold beverages? I like a hot cup of coffee to start the day; after that it’s a toss up depending on the weather and what I feel like. Except for beer, I typically don’t like ice cold beverages as my teeth are sensitive to the cold.

Haul: This week I have a few things in my Sephora basket to buy on my next pay period-Marc Jacobs O!Mega Lash Volumizing Peacock 40 mascara, a backup Kat Von D x Billie Joe Armstrong Basket Case eyeliner, and Becca Light Chaser highlighters in Opal Flashes Jade, Rose Quartz Flashes Seashell, and Amethyst Flashes Geode. Last week I bought Maybelline Color Sensational Copper Rose lipstick.
Weekend plans: I’m writing this from my aunt’s house. My parents and I might go to Golden Corral tomorrow.
Hot or cold beverages?: When I look at what I drink most often (lattes and decaffeinated tea), it seems like hot!
