Have a great time with your family visiting!

Haul: probably getting some stuff from the Ulta 10x points

Weekend plans: Casino, concert, and Red Sparrow.

What’s your favorite breakfast food?: Eggs Benedict

Haul: Just the Dominique Cosmetics Latte Palette!
Weekend plans: Time with friends, party planning and on Sunday checking out some venues for my friends wedding with her.
What’s your favorite breakfast food?: Most breakfast food don’t really work with my stomach/I don’t like, but I love a great breakfast burrito.

I like it, her matte formula is pretty nice and that is most of this palette. The shimmers work well, though I will say I typically use glitter glue with all shimmers (my eyes tend to water). I overall enjoy it, pan size is fantastic, but the blue and purple are the unique part. Other than that its a neutral palette, so if you have enough neutrals you probably don’t need it.

I have nyx, elf and too faced and use all 3 at various points. But my favorite is definitely nyx, then too faced and elf is least effective for me.

Haul: ColourPop singles in Let Me Explain, Liar Liar, Ringer, Board Shorts, Made to Last; concealer in Light 20; Super Shock Shadow in Frog, Lux lipstick in Ghosted

Weekend plans: up in PA/DE for the first time in a while. My husband’s family is throwing me a baby shower tomorrow night. I’m very grateful and excited! I’ve never had a shower of any sort. Dinner tonight with friends & hanging with family & friends Sunday.

What’s your favorite breakfast food?: I think just a plate of scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes (cubed & fried), & toast is my favorite breakfast food 🙂

Enjoy time with your family!

How lovely that your husband’s family are honouring you both with a baby shower – I did the same thing for my daughter in law and she received so many wonderful and useful gifts, she was overwhelmed.
I know you are going to enjoy this event and I hope it all goes well. A very special time for all of you.

Haul: Tarte lash applicator, Kat Von D Divine lipstick
Weekend plans: staying in and staying warm during this snowstorm!
What’s your favorite breakfast food?: eggs benedict

Have a great time with your family! I’ll bet Mellan is pretty excited to have extra people around.

*Kat von D X Divine Collection

*Too Faced Life’s a Festival Eye Shadow Palette; Mystical Creme Lipstick in Mermaid Tears

*All Cosmetics Wholesale (40% off sale prices): SugarPill eyeshadow singles in Mochi, Hotsy Totsy, Frostine, Candycrush, Velocity, Subterranean, and Soot & Stars; OCC Lip Tar in Roller Girl and Kimber.

*Apocalyptic Beauty sub box: Blood Queen

Weekend plans: A friend is staying with us for a few days. She’s into makeup, so it’ll be fun to have her around.

What’s your favorite breakfast food?: French toast for me, too. Yummy!

I’m tempted by the Life’s a Festival palette. Right now what I’m most craving are pinks, and this palette has those.

It does. It’s big and oddly shaped, though, but I like it. The Urban Decay Backtalk Palette with all the mauves and pinks is coming out 3/8, so you might want to check that out, too.

Last night we were up until 5:30 a.m. talking about makeup, horror movies, etc. It was like being a teenager at a sleepover. LOL

I hope the family birthdays go well for you and yours.

Haul: Some eyeshadows from Devinah cosmetics. My Pat McGrath IV palette finally arrived, and it’s absolutely everything.

Weekend Plans: tonight, I’ll either go to a pole show, if I can’t get tickets at the door, then I’ll go see Black Panther again. I’ll run through my pole routine a few times Saturday morning b/c my competition is in two weeks. I’ll be working Saturday evening. Sunday I’ll spend time with my family.

Favorite breakfast food: homemade waffles with fresh strawberries.

Adding to the haul: I went to return my Bobbi Brown foundation bc it’s a bit too light so it definitely won’t work come this summer. I ended up exchanging it for the BlackUp’s highlighter collaboration with Jennie Jenkins.

Haul: Sugarpill Little Twin Stars Makeup Collection & Liquid Poison Bundle came in from the birthday sale on valentines day.

Weekend plans: Prepping a shield base and making a transparent shield out of PET-G plastic (vacuum form plastic but I working it with a heat gun)

What’s your favourite breakfast food?: French toast too…. Love it when it’s done right and crave it more now than ever. lol

HAUL: Guerlain Kiss Kiss lipstick in Red Insolence. Just wasn’t my color so I’ve sent it back already. It looked bright watermelon on me which I don’t find flattering. I love this formula though so when I get my refund I will try a different color.

WEEKEND: Chinese food and babysitting my niece <3

BREAKFAST FOOD: Anything with a runny egg on it!

Haul: Guerlain pushed my hand with the discontinuation of the rouge G line. I picked up Gladys and Girly. I had six others on my list but by the time I tried to get them, they were all gone😢

Weekend plans: RPM class, weight lifting, cooking for the week ahead, shopping, seeing grand babies, and touching up my roots. A friend recommended two websites for healthy recipes, Skinny Taste and Skinny Kitchen, and now I have a bunch of new recipes to try out!

Favorite breakfast: Scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, bacon, and homemade buttermilk pancakes. But I eat this for dinner instead of breakfast.

Hi Tammy! Not sure which shades you’re looking for but I just ordered Rouge G lipsticks in Gemma and Georgia on There is a coupon you need to click on to apply. I have never ordered from that etailer before so I don’t know how legit they are (I normally stick to well known ones) but I checked out with PayPal.

That looks like a super fun toy!

Haul: Clarisonic Mia and KVD Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick in Double Dare (free mini)

Weekend plans: Not much, really.

What’s your favorite breakfast food? French toast and maple syrup with a side of breakfast potatoes.

Goes on easily, very creamy and opaque. The shade is a beautiful dusty rose. Stays on for hours. Not terribly drying, but not hydrating at all. Texture seems to be somewhere in between a matte and a satin. The scent is totally yummy! A bit chocolatey to me, though it’s described as creme brûlée.

Have a great time with your parents!

Neiman Marcus ($50 off): Josephine Cosmetics Hyperluxe Lip Liqueur (Altair), Le Metier De Beaute Crème Blush (Mystique, Zinnia), and some hair products – Interesting mix of items. I got free 2 day through ShopRunner but NM shipped 2 items parcel post so I don’t have 2 of the hair products yet (makes sad face)

Osswald: Mancera – Choco Violette – I’m working through my “full bottle worthy”list – LOL

Ulta ($3.50 off): ColourPop Super Shock Shadow (Lace), J. Cat Beauty 3D-Licious Holographic Lip Cream (BOGO50 – Cinnamonster, Eternal Chaos), J. Cat Beauty Holographic 3D Eye Topper (BOGO50 – Viridian, Unicorn Hype), 7 pc mask sampler (GWP) – arrives tomorrow

Ulta ($3.50 off): Frank Body Send Nudes Lip Tint, Frank Body Illuminator, J. Cat Beauty Pris-Metal Chrome Eye Mousse (BOGO50 – Holography Types, Gray Later, Poppin Lockin, Dreamer) – Ulta shipped everything but in 3 separate shipments – all should arrive next week

Weekend plans: I’m meeting a friend for breakfast and then she’s going to work at Ulta and I’m going shopping (at Ulta). Otherwise I’ll be swatching and working on my blogs. I had intended to write a review of the Parfums de Marly – Herod – but time got away from me the other day. I want to get the review done.

What’s your favorite breakfast food?: Depends on my mood. Some days I can be a 5 year old and order cocoa pancakes with chocolate chips and whipped cream or maybe an omelet with fried potatoes and scrapple, sausage, or bacon. Usually, my breakfast is coffee though and I don’t eat until lunch.

Haul: S: YSL vinyl couture masc in excitement and storm/green and dark sparkle. No fixing/combing/clumping, colors? What’s not to like? U: Cosrx birch moisture, galactomyces essence, philosophy miracle worker fix long name eye cream, Nooni brighten up eye serum, UD chaos pencil, Eyeko yoga mascara. All my cobalts died; think it is not premature, but they crap out quickly (Sephora and Stila.). Samples were amore pacific essential cream fluid (s) and philosophy purity made simple moisturizer (u.) Also ordered from YesStyle, dk how long it takes. As to the Eyeko: tubing. Differences: does NOT come off with warm water like most. Did not come off with a wipe, but did not smear either…just still there. Needs oil based remover. Also, the brush. Despite seeing it online, the small thin end with a bulbous base makes it a bit awkward to use. Think I had better read the directions. It came with a guitar pick inside the box. Really. Really? Wanted to tell readers of the differences, bec there may be some deal breakers there. For sure NarsHL order today and the blush 2 in a week. Other non-cos. Glad they came before today, flood day, winds steady at 67, heavy rain, possible snow, and no, not going to either job. Plans: uncertain. The derm overprescribed gabapentin, so I was fully incapacitated on Wed. Got an Rx for 1/3 the strength. Better, but i’m still leery. So, laying low as permits. That doc may be phenomenal visually, but his listening skills suck. I told him I was reactive, started low, and titrated up slowly, but, Nooooo, he gives me the standard maintenance dose. Thanks for listening. B’fast: so many good ones. Really like to make a rich french toast, with half and half and a wee shake of brandy (maybe not now, lol) and have a salty contrast, like bacon or Canadian bacon. In the summer, another contrast, prosciutto and melon, esp Santa Claus, though I think that one is not a summer melon. It’s always black dark roast coffee, whatever the origin.

Nothing like a brand new toy to tear into, huh, Mellan?!? My 2 felines would certainly agree with you on that!

Haul: Laneige Sleeping Lip Mask! After using up a generous sample, my lip condition improved so drastically, that I just had to go back for the full-size. I am also going to MAC this afternoon to pick up all 4 LE Throwback Pro Pan eyeshadows which they’re holding for me as I was *supposed* to go there yesterday. Not sure if I’ll be getting a lipstick from the 7 or not.

Weekend plans: SSDW, basically. Today, going to pay my rent, then head down a few blocks to MAC @ SFS. I may go up to the park on Saturday if I’m feeling up to it. Love looking out over that “lake” with the geese and ducks.

Favorite breakfast food: Blueberry pancakes or my NJ style French toast made with Challah bread. Now to find a good gf Challah bread…. that’s a challenge! (Either one of the above with a side of maple breakfast sausage or soft bacon, please!)

I like it with Brioche! I always forget I make some pretty awesome blueberry pancakes too! I’ve been considering the lip mask, I might have to pull the trigger.

Yes to both of you. Brioche or Challah…has to be an egg bread. Trader Joe’s pain au lait isn’t bad. Brioche is yeastier. Challah is eggier. Nancy: check on and other NY foodie ship it sites. My dog rescuer is from Brooklyn, but now lives in the MO Ozarks, near Arkansas. I sent her bagels for VD. But, really, near Phoenix, they must have some good Kosher bakeries! Orowheat (sp) used to make a good commercial egg bread in Cali, but prob d/c’d.

Erin, that lip mask is lovely. I got a really nice jar (a half sized one) at a Sephora event but gave it to my daughter and then was kicking myself, so I bought a full sized jar. To tell you the truth, I preferred the smaller jar (it was really cute and a nice size) but the product is so lovely and it’s not just for night-time.

Edit to add to “Haul”; MAC Uninterrupted, Kid, Tete-A-Teint, and Goldbit Pro Pans, empty quad palette and Spanish Fly Lipstick, which is GORGEOUS!!!

Haul: I picked up a Guerlain Rouge G in Geneva from for half off. I haven’t had much luck finding any other discounted Rouge G’s – by the time I saw the Cos Bar sale, the only shade left was one I didn’t want (Rose Glace). A few retailers still have them at full price, but I’m hoping those prices will eventually drop.
Weekend plans: Oscars party Sunday night! I’ve seen all the Best Picture nominees. (Call Me By Your Name is my favorite but I actually don’t want it to win – don’t want to deal with the inevitable backlash … ) I’ll be catching the last of the Best Documentary and Best Foreign Language Picture nominees this weekend, as well as the nominated documentary and animated shorts (already saw the live-action ones). The party will be very low-key and chill, and I’ll be seeing some friends I haven’t seen in a while.
What’s your favorite breakfast food?: Everything bagel with egg and cheese (not toasted)

Haul: Not much this week. I picked up a sample of the IT Cosmetics Super Hero mascara but have only used it once and it didn’t blow my skirts up but might work layering with another mascara. I rarely wear just one mascara. I ordered but haven’t received a new Surratt eye lash curler. The one I have is getting pretty old and haven’t found a resource to secure a new rubber so just replacing. This is my holy grail eye lash curler as it works best for small eyes. I also picked up another Pixi Milky Mist as I use it daily along with two other setting sprays. I am just high maintenance that way!

Weekend plans: My daughter is home for the weekend so I am cooking her favorite meal and then we are just hanging out.

Favorite breakfast food: I am almost embarrassed to say this but Cream of Wheat is my favorite breakfast. It is the perfect winter breakfast food if you don’t have a lot of time.

Haul: Rose hand cream from TJ’s!

Weekend: Man, I’m having a spa day tomorrow. A massage and a facial. Hubby is also. I was a member of a local spa and I had a lot of points/credits built up over the last 1.5 yrs I’ve been a member so we had to use it or lose it. Shopping and brunching are also on the docket. Moving chores too. Almost there.

Favorite breakfast: For home cooking probably my Brioche French Toast. For out, probably some sort of Benedict with crazy stuff on it and a mimosa 😛

Haul: an empty MAC medium sized palette, MAC Goldbit eyeshadow, Smashbox Showmance eyeshadow trio, Pixi Rose Caviar Essence, another jar of Elizabeth Arden Perpetual Moisture eye cream to have as a backup, a full sized bottle of Algenist Reveal Concentrated Luminizing Drops in Rose (I have the minis from a year and a half ago but spotted the full size bottles at Marshall’s for $15, which is amazing).

Weekend plans: moving out our old upright freezer and moving in a frost free version of the same one (such an exciting life I lead!)

Favourite breakfast food: some version of Eggs Benedict, I think, just because poached eggs are kinda fussy to make and I don’t trust myself not to make a complete mess. But in truth, I love any sort of breakfast food that is served at brunch and that I don’t have to cook!

Mariella, I agree with your statement: “But in truth, I love any sort of breakfast food that is served at brunch and that I don’t have to cook” . Now that I have no one to cook for, that is. So, most days I just have oatmeal w/ walnuts, craisens and cinnamon. Or cold gf cereal. Very boring!

Nancy, there is something about eating breakfast or bunch out that feels like being on vacation. I think I enjoy brunching out better than lunch or even dinner in a restaurant.

Amen to that Mariella – when I was writing my comment about my husband’s birthday banquet I am going to prepare – I though of you and how both our families like all kinds of different foods and how we try to cater for everyone.

Haul: Surprisingly I found Urban Decay’s Backtalk eye shadow palette at Sephora last weekend! I think they may have made a mistake selling it early because it’s not supposed to be released until March 8th. It look so pretty and I love how the mirror fits in a slot between the shadows and cheek products. But I was very disappointed with the pigmentation and lasting power. The eye shadow lasted about 2 hours( used several primers) and I had to use fix plus. The blushes faded away fast too. The highlighters were okay. I’m just about sure I’ll be returning this $49.50 palette soon. Should have waited for the reviews but I loved the color scheme and idea of having everything in one palette. Too bad about the quality 🙁

Weekend Plans: Just chilling since my daughter needs help after her foot surgery. Plan to do some reading and catching up on Netflix.

What’s your favorite breakfast food?: Belgium waffles with strawberries and blue berries on top. Dusted with powered sugar . A couple slices of crispy turkey bacon on the side.
Have a nice visit with your parents Christine!

Haul: took advantage of the UD friends and family discount to get three of the new Vice lipstick colors (Trip, En Fuego, and Singe), and two of the ozone primer pencil (a staple).

Weekend plans: nothing in particular, although I aspire to finish a deep clean/declutter of my kids’ toys.

Breakfast food: fried eggs with toast.

Haul: VV Hashtag palette (finally, after it got lost in the post for 6 weeks), Tocca Florence perfume and some very unsexy Eulactol heel balm.

Weekend plans: Go for a bush walk, lunch with my in-laws on Sunday, bake lemon cream cheese muffins.

Favourite breakfast food: Eggs Benedict!

Haul: Sephora Lipstories Lipsticks in Desert Trip, In The Clouds, Woof, Festival Lights, Fire Side, Malt Shake, After Hours, Berry-Licious, Coconut Grove, Golden Gate, Ice Breaker & City Beat.
Weekend plans: Weather permitting, going for a long walk with my husband in Thetford Forest.
Favourite breakfast food: Toast.

Haul: Nothing!

Weekend plans: Nada except stuff like playing the new Sims pack lol.

What’s your favorite breakfast food?: Either normal cereal (raisin bran crunch FTW) or fresh croissants (the 50% of me that is French needs this sometimes)

He is such a good boy. He will have such fun with his family this weekend.

Haul: I succumbed to FOMO and bought Viseart Tryst from Beautylish even though I was hoping to get it at Sephora with a gift card. What if it never gets there and sells out elsewhere? I bought a mini of it CC+ cream and Neogen Real Ferment Micro Essence as a CF alternative to the Missha essence (which is the affordable alternative to SK-II).

Weekend plans: It depends on the weather as a nor’easterm is here. If I decide to go out, I will head up to Ulta. Otherwise it is the usual errands.

Favorite breakfast food: I am not supposed to eat any of the things I actually like because of blood sugar issues. I like avocado toast with an egg on it. And coffee with whole milk.

With your parents visiting, Mellon has got his toys ready to play. Lovely photo Christine.

Haul: nothing really much this week.

Weekend plans: On Friday, I picked up Olivia from kinder to take her shopping to buy some new shoes for her birthday. I was lucky that the good ones were on sale and that she was happy with my choices.
It’s a big weekend with Olivia’s 4th birthday party on Sunday. Nona (me) is on catering duties, making the sausage rolls and sandwiches – so those I will be doing on Saturday, as the party starts at 10 am Sunday morning. It will be a unicorn party and Olivia is in high spirits. Her mother has lost count of how many kids are coming, as most of the parents whose children are invited, are bringing their younger siblings as well.
And on Monday, it is my husband’s birthday and we are having a big celebration at our place – so lots of cooking and preparing again…with the usual banquet – lots of different meats, fish and several salads. I think I will be ready for a break by Tuesday.

Favourite breakfast food: Love it when we go out for breakie and I have Eggs Benedict.

Wow, Genevieve, busy weekend for you! Could be running a catering company 😉 Ooooh, unicorn party sounds fun! Happy birthday to Olivia and your Hubby!

Thanks Katherine, I feel like I am running a catering company at the moment, I can tell you!
I have just returned from the Unicorn birthday party and it has all worked out well. It was set at a beautiful park, with lots of suitable playground equipment for 1 – 5 year olds (as the siblings joined in too), the weather was fine, but cool – which is great and there were facilities there.
The birthday girl, resplendent in her pink unicorn dress, was very happy and loved all her presents. Her mum did an amazing job with the unicorn birthday cake with frosting. So all is well with the world.

Thanks Tammy – I have just returned from the birthday party and it all went extremely well. The weather was kind (sunny and cool); the playground was fantastic and the kids and parents ate everything.
Olivia loved her presents and the whole day and Lachlan, who is two, had a wonderful time as well.
The unicorn cake, made by my daughter in law, was amazing.
Now for Round 2 – my husband’s birthday tomorrow.

Haul: absolutely nothing! Woo!

Weekend plans: again, absolutely nothing lol

What’s your favorite breakfast food?: eggs in a basket

Tom Ford:
Cream and Powder Color For Eyes in Azure Sun and Emerald Isles

Tete-a-Tint, Uninterrupted, Jest and Kid eyeshadows
Pre-ordered the 3 new Girls palettes and a few Padma Lakshmi pieces. I asked the MAC MUA Extraordinnaire that I like to work with to just pick a lipstick for me and surprise me – can’t wait!

Weekend plans: Cleaning, laundry, cooking for the week. I’m getting my washer fixed on Saturday morning and in the afternoon, I might head out with a friend to a local music festival. I told her it was a maybe but I’m already feeling like I just want to laze around at home on Saturday – I cherish the solitude of the weekends. On Sunday I will give myself a manicure.

Favorite breakfast food: All of it … I love breakfast food. For such a long time I was cooking 2 and three different meals at the same time because everyone ate differently and it was nothing for me to get up and an hour later have a brunch spread for 10 ready to go complete with coffee, tea and mimosas. I’m like a short order cook in my kitchen – you name it, I can cook it. I’m tooting my own horn here, but I’m pretty darn good at it. I’m pretty streamlined during the week with breakfast but I love weekend breakfasts.

Haul: No makeup this week (it wasn’t pay week), but I did get a new bra at Victoria’s Secret. It’s a dark grayish purple. I have a few things saved in my online Sephora bag, and plan to add the new colored Tom Ford mascara when it comes out Monday-the copper and possibly the magenta.
Weekend plans: My mom and I finally got to the mall today (see above). Work all day tomorrow, watch the Oscars Sunday.
What’s your favorite breakfast food?: Either bacon/sausage (pork varieties only) or cinnamon rolls.

Haul: two Kiko Milano lipsticks, two of their eyeliners and one of their lip liners. Also I’ve purchased, but not yet received, the new Makeup Revolution stick foundation – if you’ve never heard of them they a brilliant British drugstore brand that specialise in high end dupes. They do an amazing concealer and have a highlighter colaberation with the YouTuber Sophdoesnails that is beautiful. The best bit about my haul is that is cost me less than £20 for all of it.

Weekend plans: working. Boo. And I’m going on holiday on Monday, so will spend Sunday packing.

Best breakfast: gotta love the way they do it in Switzerland, cheese, continental meats, jam, and Nutella, with soft fresh bread. It’s just the best.

*Haul- MAC Versicolor Lipstain in Resilient Rouge (from Hautelook)
*Weekend – returns to Ulta, Target run
* Breakfast – ham, eggs, corn beef hash, pancakes, oatmeal with banana, toasted wheat bagel with peanut butter and banana. I love breakfast!

Haul: (SDM 20% off) Lancome Teint Idole Ultra foundation, Elizabeth Arden makeup remover, Smashbox Photo Finish under Eye, Chanel Ombre Premier eyeshadow singles in Blooming Rose and Nuage Bleu, and Rouge Coco Stylo in Rose
Éclat ant Rose. At the CT counter: Hollywood Flawless Filter, Bond Girl lip liner and lipstick.

Weekend Plans: We’re expecting a big snowstorm this weekend, so staying close by. Am visiting my mom, so lots of hanging out together.

Favourite breakfast food: made by someone else – ha! I love french toast; a poached egg on toast is a close second.

Haul: Wet N Wild: MegaGlow Highlight powder in Purple Ashes and White Raven, MegaGlow Highlighting Stick in Hell-O Darkness, MegaGlow Loose Highlighting Powder in Moon Tears, MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Mettalic Lipstick in Wicked Pink, MegaLiner Metallic Liquid Liner in Black Butterfly, MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Liquid Eyeshadow in Goth Tears

Weekend plans: Just hang out with family, nothing concrete

What’s your favorite breakfast food? Pancakes W fruit on top, I eat cereal almost everyday though

Haul: Drunk Elephant TLC sukari Babyfacial, KVD Metal Crush Shadows in Thrasher, Thunderstruck, and Iggy, Bite Beauty High Pigment Lip Pencil in Rhubarb, Guerlain Rouge G in Gemma and Georgia. Wow, that’s more than I thought. I still have more on my shopping list.

Weekend Plans: laundry and shopping for restaurant

Favorite breakfast food: normally it’s whole grain toast spread with nut butter and jelly, with eggs or turkey breast, and some fruit on the side.
