HAUL: NYX Lid Lingerie matte eye shadow palette picked up from Ulta. Not that I needed it, but I think it will travel well. Super blendable, decent pigment, ten bucks.

WEEKEND: Painting my front door bright yellow 🙂

FALL: the cool, mostly dry New England weather. Earth tone colors. Oven roasting. Scary movies!

omg boy’s cat is exactly like Mellan! Follows me around to supervise lol

Haul: Fenty Beauty Galaxy Palette! Love this! I’ll probably get around to picking up the new UD palette and the Stila liquid glitter eyeshadow set

Weekend plans: BFF weekend was rescheduled to this weekend. Really excited.
What’s your favorite part about fall?: every single thing. birthday, leaves changing, Halloween, Thanksgiving!

Haul: L’Oreal Lash Paradise waterproof mascara (huge disappointment), Lancôme Teint Idole Cushion foundations for my grandmother.

Weekend plans: maybe clean up the room a bit. We’re hoping to move out soon 🙂

What’s your favorite part about fall?: Cooler weather (no bugs!), driving down lanes with big fall leaf trees, binge-watching Monk, baking more apple & pumpkin goodies.

I’ve been a long-time reader of Temptalia so I wanted to share with you all that my husband and I are expecting our first baby in April 🙂 we’re very excited ❤

Congratulations, Joyce! I’ve got 3 kids and they really are the best thing in our lives (mind and hubby’s). Wishing you a healthy, uneventful pregnancy!

Haul: Sephora order over the past three weeks.
Stila Written in the Stars Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow Set-Diamond Dust/ Kitten Karma/ Smoky Storm,
LANEIGE Water Bank Moisture Cream trial size,
BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector® Pressed Highlighter Mini Vanilla Quartz,
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lip Set Demi-Glace/ Flambe/ Braised/ Whip,
VIB L’Occitane Trial Set VIB L’Occitane Trial Set – / GWP X2,
and Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Foundation-Milkshake 100B
(I need to get the next lighter golden shade for mixing with this, but I like the formula so far.)

Weekend plans: More work, and training new employees….

What’s your favorite part about fall?: Everything! The temperature, fall clothes, the leaves changing and my favourite holiday. Halloween. lol

Haul: Nothing this week!

Weekend plans: Going to see a couple friends of mine play a concert, maybe a little shopping, definitely a lot of cleaning around the apartment.

Favorite thing about Fall: It’s a toss-up between getting to wear boots every day, and the aforementioned pumpkin spice everything. I also like other fall flavors like apple cider or caramel apple, and I like when cranberry comes into the mix for Thanksgiving. Also, HALLOWEEN! Fall is so awesome I can’t really choose one favorite thing 🙂

My partner’s already been researching cranberry sauce recipes for Thanksgiving, LOL. Someone is excited that our apartment has a better kitchen than our house did.

Haul: I finally broke down and bought my first Chanel lipstick: Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick in Raffinee. It’s GORGEOUS! I wanted to get the shade Libre, but it’s discontinued. 🙁 Also, the store Francesca’s has Lipstick Queen lipsticks on sale for $10 (originally $24), so I bought Frog Prince. Apparently, they were a test store for Lipstick Queen, but they weren’t selling, so they’ve marked them way down.

Weekend plans: Hanging out with friends, visiting family, chores

What’s your favorite part about fall?: Two things: Weather and fashion. I am not happy in hot weather, so I love when the weather starts to get a bit cooler and less rainy. And I adore fall clothes, shoes, and boots. I love boots as much as I love makeup!

Oh my gosh I’m on a low buy, but I would haul some Lipstick Queen for $10. Go you, that’s a steal. I’m normally a bright, pigmented lipstick person myself, but I really love their Saint (sheer) line for classic shades. Saint Rose and Saint Bright Natural are two of my jams right now.

They also had Saint, Sinner, Medieval, Jean Queen, and Jungle Queen. I might go back and get another, if they still have any left. They had them in a basket on a low shelf and I didn’t even see them at first!!

The dog …the well one…just mangled my Rust Sinner, and Poppy discontinued it. I’ve been a Poppy King fan since she was 18, and launched her eponymous collection with the original seven deadly sins. QVC or HSN has one, but I doubt Francesca’s does. Worth a look at such prices. Thought I might get abh Stevie for the slot, though it isn’t a true dupe. Thanks.

Haul: OCC nail polishes in Cha Cha, Deven Green, Dust, and Belladonna, Lip Tar in Artifact, pencil in Sybil; a bunch of empty mini lipgloss tubes with doe foot applicators to squeeze my (probably expired but YOLO) lip tars into for convenient application and mix storage. Sidenote: I REALLY wish they still offered the primary colors in the old packaging since the whole concept was to mix custom colors. Like, if I could have one makeup wish this year, it would be for OCC to offer a permanent, full size, vintage packaged primary pack of lip tar.

Weekend plans: boxing class, handstand class… I feel like there was another thing too, but I guess I’ll find out when the time comes lol

What’s your favorite part about fall?: The colors, the smells in the chilly air, Halloween. I like the way it rains in the Seattle fall. Also summer being over, not a summer person.

♥ Haul:
• Estée Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara in 01 BLACK
• Mizon All In One Snail Repair Cream
• The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Rich Cleansing Oil
• COSRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask
• TIA’M My Signature C Source (20% Vitamin C serum)
• COSRX Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol [Toner]
❝ I went a little Korean skincare crazy. XD ❞

♥ Weekend plans:
❝ Drinking wine, cleaning the house, and watching the Patriots game. ❞

♥ What’s your favorite part about fall?
❝ The leaves changing colors and the cooler temperatures. Here, in New England, seems to be the Mecca for all things fall-related. There are so many tourist who come here to witness the vasts amount of colorful foliage. I don’t mind. The out-of-towners seem pretty nice. We can all enjoy it together. ❞

Yes, I’m a Patriots fan. I too was over the moon when they won the Super Bowl in February. That was probably one of their best games EVER! That comeback was amazing! Tom Brady makes miracles come true. Lol. So I completely understand your son’s excitement and love of the team.

The funniest thing was, he has a favourite top (Zimbabwe Cricket team top) that he says is his ‘lucky’ top and I had to have it ironed for him so he could wear it watching the game. He took a day of annual leave off work so he could get up early in the morning to see the game. Brady is his hero……

Now I see how Mellan keeps his boyish figure.

Haul: Really not much. I picked up the new Nabla Cosmetics Dreamy Palette x 2 (one for my daughter). I picked up a liquid lipstick for her also in the shade Unspoken. I haven’t tried their liquid lipstick formula so thought she could try it for me! In addition to my palette I picked up an e/s in Selfish and a Diva Crème Lipstick in Arabesque. I saw the Too Faced Kandee Johnson I Want Kandee eye shadow palette while seeing my Doctor in Kalispell, which happens to have an Ulta. I hadn’t intended to buy it as the only shadow I really loved was Raspberry Cocoa but several of the other shades looked promising and my daughter loved the Sweet Toffee shade so picked up 2 of those also.

Weekend plans: Paint more furniture for my craft room.

Like about fall: I love fall here in Montana although we haven’t had much of one this year. I love the craft and harvest festivals. Pumpkin spice everything. The smell of wood smoke in the valley and the crispness of the morning air.

Hi Genevieve,
Yes, you have to have some serious hobbies or tasks that you can do indoors in the winter. I read voraciously so that is good. I embroider and quilt. My quilting is more of embellished quilting rather than making big bed sized quilts. I love the look of quilts that are embellished with beads, embroidery, tokens and charms. I try to make them specific to the person I am making the quilt for and use personalized charms. I love to scrapbook and since I am the designated historian in my family (not just immediate family but rather the entire maternal and paternal families) I work on scrapbooking our family history. I have scrapbooked my daughters life and I don’t know whether she appreciates it but I am pretty sure her children and grandchildren will some day. I love doing mixed media arts and refinishing furniture. I am sort of in the process of changing my furniture from traditional all dark woods to a more shabby chic look. I know I am a little behind the curve for this decorative look but just recently realized how tired I was of all the dark colors and really just wanted to paint everything white. I have some beautiful antiques pieces and don’t want to paint those but I am slowly mixing in other pieces. I think that is about it for what I keep busy doing during the long winters. I always have several projects in the works and really just grew out of my current craft room which is a very small bedroom, like 10 x 10. My new room is 21 x 21 so I will be able to house all my supplies in that space and keep my working projects close to my tools.
When I am done with it I will post pictures on Instagram and you can go take a look. Thank you for asking.

You are so talented Deborah! You must have a really good eye for colours and shades to do all of those beautiful quilts, scrapbooking and applique.
And it can be so relaxing as well.
Quite a few years ago, when I was teaching Grade 3, we were doing a unit on Leisure and Fitness. One of the many things we did was to teach the children how to utilise arts when it was cold and wet. So we set up knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking, sewing, card craft, weaving and anything else we could think of. The kids absolutely loved it, even the sports mad boys.

Haul: Supermoon lipstick and Plutonic Relationship gloss from the Fenty Beauty Galaxy collection, I already returned the lipstick (extremely small, and it was a frosty peach that looked very 80s, not a cool glittery shade…); Becca Après Ski face palette, I only swatched it and used it once but so far I haven’t had any issue with it. The blush blended fine, and the texture of the highlighters were okay (I don’t own any full size of Becca’s pressed highlighters except for one in the Light Chaser line); Lorac Mountain Sunset palette: I’m so in love with the Ocean Sunset that I got the Mountain as well. The shade selection is not quite as inspiring to me but it looks perfect for fall.

Weekend plans: going camping in the desert!

Favorite part about fall: cooler days, wearing sweaters and the typical fall hues for makeup (plum, berry…)

Hahahahaha – wtg Mellan!

Weekend plans: I am happy to say I don’t know yet. I’m hoping the jacket I brought in for tailoring will be ready for pickup though.

What’s your favorite part about fall?: Cooler weather! I dislike the heat and humidity. Although, this weekend it’s still supposed to be close to 80 here so it’s not feeling very Fall-like yet.

HAUL: + Becca Aprés Ski Glow Collection Face Palette..I ordered this 2 weeks ago and just got to me, got scared I wouldn’t like it when I read your review, but so far I’m enjoying it! It’s my first product from Becca.
+ ColourPop My Little Pony eyeshadow palette, Ponyland lipgloss, Cherries Jubilee SuperShock Shadow and Glass Bull eyeshadow. The palette I really like so far, gloss is a bit gritty when rubbing the lips together which is kind of a bummer, the supershock is pretty, but Glass Bull is I think my new favourite thing.

WEEKEND PLANS: taking notes, being lazy, just the usual.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT FALL?: the temperature. and the colours. I live in Europe and we finally have 20-25degree weather which is JUST ideal for me. I hate the heat, I hate too cold weather but this is so perfect! Wearing only a sweater/light jean jacket as outerwear and not freezing in it. Being able to wear my witchy clothes without getting overly judged for it. Autumn is my favourite season.

Mellan’s pictures never fail to put a great big smile on my normally stoic RBF(ace)! Best supervisor one could have, I’d say!

Haul: Fenty Galaxy Palette w/ my 20% Sephora F&F code. I actually love these over Nyx Glitter Primer as accent shadows! I apply them as I would a ColourPop eyeshadow; with my fingertips. So far, so good! Then at MAC inside Dillard’s, I picked up Stylishly Merry EDES and Shimmer & Spice lipstick, they are literally twins in their respective duochrome shift/ base shade with the lipstick being deeper, that’s all. Received my Ipsy Bag, it has a gorgeous eyeshadow in it that I’m dying to use: Meech & Mia Purple. It looks like a warm brown until you blend it in, then it becomes a gorgeous silvery lilac tinged taupe shade that glows! I left the BEST for last. A really good friend gifted me KVD Glimmer Veil in Super Sonic! Let me tell you, this gorgeous chameleon can work on its own perfectly fine, but worn over a similar shade as its base color, it is!

Weekend plans: Other than my meeting on Sunday and probably doing my neglected nails, nothing but RESTING. Had a rough week with my insomnia issues, plus the beginning of a possible cold. Today I feel fine, though, so I’m not sure if it is a cold or just an episode of asthma and cough for a few days?

What’s your favorite part of Fall/ Autumn: That this desert heat will gradually lift! Already, the nights have cooled off considerably, thank goodness. Baking delicious yummies! Especially brownies and my favorite GF pumpkin cake recipe! In a few more weeks, beginning to get to wear my more autumnal clothing, too.

Haul: I made a small but hefty set of purchases from Sephora, It Cosmetics Miracle Water and Amore Pacific SIngle Extract Essence. Plus my bday gift and some samples. Noting with points though.

Weekend: Starting off with a pre-birthday dinner at the best local Italian place with my hubby, getting my tires and wipers done on the hubbies hybrid, then shopping for food, getting a massage on Sunday. I will also be doing a little bit of grieving. My brother’s best friend died about an hour ago of a freak heart attack at 30. I’m just kind of stunned. I hadn’t seen him in 8 years (since I moved overseas) but it’s a shock to the family/friends including me. I expect a post-work call with my bro to offer support.

Fall: I love everything about it, minus the commercialized celebration of Halloween and the PSL. I’m not a very religious person but I prefer the original Samhain. I like pumpkins just not the ubiquitous PSL 😛

Erin, I am so sorry about the truly unexpected loss that your brother and you have suffered. It honestly freaked me out very badly when I saw he was only 30! Especially since my son just turned 31 in August, and my daughter is turning 29 in December. Just scary and very sad.

Looks like Mellan will be busy, and you will be even busier!
*Haul – Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Wheat -Wow! Very impressed with the performance on my super oily lids. Got this as Sephora freebie, and will be picking up the full size at next sale, along with Linen. Wheat is a peachy beige but blends out into a skintone shade on my lids, acts as concealer, brightener, and primer for upper lids. I can wear alone or under powder shadows. Paula’s Choice – re-purchase of sunscreen and SPF 50 lip balm. Really like her lip balm -it’s very hydrating, adds a nice shine but doesn’t feel too siliconey, and doesn’t have any SPF taste
*Weekend -take walks, need some exercise and fresh air. Have been cooped up indoors for almost 2 weeks due to the bad air from the wildfires up north
*Fall – smoky eyes, bold lips, pumpkin spice, soups/stews, crispy fresh air, holiday makeup sales, Halloween, Thanksgiving, I love fall !

Oh and another Sephora reward points freebie – MUFE Blush in S-214 (very pretty and versatile color, perfect for travel, thanks for the rec Michele!)

Haul: Some Clarins skin care – body lotion and eye cream, Soap and Glory Sugar Crush body wash and a bottle of J-P Gaultier Le Male for hubby’s birthday
Weekend plans: I just finished a tough assignment so I’m looking forward to relaxing, going to the gym and catching up on sleep
What’s your favourite part of fall: the cooler temps, which make it nicer to wear makeup and to wear the sorts of clothes I like best (tweeds, woolen skirts, suede boots, etc.) and, because it’s cooler, I have more energy to do things – long walks, exercise, etc.

Haul: Natasha Denona Aeris eye shadow palette and Anastasia lip palette on sale at Sephora.

Weekend Plans: Celebrate my son getting into medical school!!!! He’s in Boston but me and my daughter will go out for dinner and celebrate anyway! Clean my hardwood floors. Finish any last minute halloween decorations outside.

What’s your favorite part about fall?: I love the beautiful colored foliage! I live in Florida so there’s not too much change in the trees here. Also love fall cool but not cold temperatures. Fall is my favorite season!!

Haul: Stila Deluxe Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, Essence The Gel Nail Polish in My Sparkling Darling, Butter London Greenery nail polish, Tarte Deluxe 4-in-1 Mascara, IT Cosmetics Deluxe Confidence in an Eye Cream, two fragrance samples (Olympea from Paco Rabanne and Viva La Juicy), a new Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 003, and some Hask and Not Your Mother’s hair products.

Weekend plans: Watching hockey tomorrow and just chilling.

Favorite part about fall: Blankets on blankets on blankets

I think Mellan is wishing for a box big enough for him to sleep in.

Haul: SimpleHuman 8” sensor mirror. With the change of season, I am not getting enough daylight to see what I’m doing. The magnification has not freaked me out so far. Plus a powder blush in Shade 06 from Kiko Milano and a new pencil brush.

Week-end plans: A workshop on dealing with anxiety and depression through meditation and then a local orchestra concert.

My favorite part about fall? I don’t like fall all that much. Although I appreciate the sculptural beauty of a bare tree, watching the leaves shrivel and die makes me sad. I guess living in the city, where there are no fall colors to speak of, warps my view.

Haul: Got my Sephora F&F order in. I picked up the Laura Mercier mini Caviar Stick holiday set, a small Hourglass Mineral Veil primer, Giorgio Armani eye tint in Gold Ashes, Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder, some Philoshophy Snow Angel bath products, and a restock of Stella McCartney Stell perfume. I hadn’t hauled in a while so I really went for it!

Weekend plans: Chaperoning homecoming tomorrow (ugh), and hitting the casino on Sunday.

Favorite thing about fall: The crisp weather, boots, and sweaters!

Haul: Ombrelle SPF50 stick sunblock, so I don’t have to take a liquid spf during my up coming flight, 2x ELF brow pencils, Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder, Another pro pan of MAC woodwinked!

weekend plans: My tumor has grown so much, it’s pressing up against my ear drum. So I’m in quite a bit of pain!! So my weekend is going to be low key, and staying out of pain!! I have my CAT scan in 5 days though!!! so fingers crossed that the scan shows good results!

What my favorite thing about fall is: SCARFS, SWEATERS, LEATHER BOOTIES!!

Oh no, sorry to hear, hope the doctors can do something to alleviate the pain. Woodwinked is such a beauty! I have so many neutrals already, but after hearing so many people raving about it, I had to get it to see what the fuss was all about, and now I can see why

Thank you Katherine!

I feel the same way!! I just finished my first pan of woodwinked, and I couldn’t figure out what was missing, from my collection.

It was a brand new pan of woodwinked :D. It looks stunning with Brown/ hazel eyes too!!!

Shannon, I am so sad to hear that it’s grown to the point of causing you this much pain. Hopefully, there’s something they can do to alleviate it and give you some much deserved relief.

If I did not know this was Temptalia, I’d swear Mellan was doing Homeland Security! Bet he can sniff the difference between brands through the cardboard, esp. the French brands! Haul: Most importantly, new tires. Let us hope they truly are all weather. did a Hautelook order for Mac: a paintpot, 2 or 3 blushes, and 3 colored pearlglides. And a couple of more 2 sided Zs and their tea rose blush from the d/c’ing section of Sephora. Visited there today, and ruled out most of the things I thought to score for self-Christmas. Boy, did not like the mufe palette, and the kvd LLreally only had 1-2 shades that rate well and I like, beyond sanctuary, which I have. I’d be better off to get a single in Hawkwind. Someone had stolen the new shade, Madrid. Based on past practice, it could go perm. The 20 mjb swatched well, but it ought to do better than it did here, for a C note. Only new find was abh Stevie, bec I could use s.t. In that slot. Pre-shopping the sale. Now, have to figure out Ulta, b day, the 20, etc. think one of the bare minerals palettes…the one that was/?is at nordie’s, or the biggie is more my speed than what i’ve Seen so far. Maybe i’ll Bag (still doing that, even with an update) out a lot of it and go for Zoeva’s sale. But, the Nars Noire et Blanche is all that and MORE, from my p.o.v. Plans: doggie convalescent care and night job. Outside with well dog, if weather permits. And my market had The Snowman, which has been OOS due to popularity almost everywhere. Prob restocking due to the movie…so, reading. Online courses, if Patti stops protesting her indignity at enforced crate rest. Fall: seasonal change gives me a bit of melancholy. Many seabirds that I enjoy leave: the flowers die off. Idk, the passing of daffodils and tulips in spring affects me the same way. Once the seasons are fully underway, I like all of them, here on a hill, by the sea, in NE. Fave fall dish is eggplant and pomegranate, Lebanese, I think. Omg, is that good! Patti is on the fall train: ground turkey for extra tryptophan with meds hidden!

Mellan looks like an excellent supervisor!

Haul: Took my 20% off coupon from Ulta and picked up a backup Bye Bye Undereye, and…. ABH Modern Renaissance! After resisting for I think an entire year, I caved. I really didn’t need it, but I am impressed with the textures and pigmentation, and I didn’t feel so bad since I got it on sale 🙂

Weekend plans: Trying to get caught up on work a little, and moving stuff down/ back down to the basement, which was just finally completed today! FINALLY.

What’s your favorite part about fall?: Sweaters, scarves, and boots.

A cute photo of Mellon checking out all the boxes. He is looking so well now.

Haul: Clarins Aqua mascara (love green mascaras), Elf foundation in porcelain to try (one of Rachel’s favourites) and I have ordered a couple of lipsticks on sale from Elizabeth Arden – just love her lippies.

Weekend plans: Christine, you are not behind at all and I would like you to take a break this weekend so you don’t get too burnt out.
Saturday – just housework and going out for dinner, Sunday – my twin sister is visiting – and she has been quite well lately and the family will be over for dinner.
We are getting new air conditioning installed, thank goodness, next week for summer.

Love about Autumn: Just eveything I love about autumn – mostly the cooler days and nights, the beautiful folliage around, the colours, the clothes and the gorgeous eye and lip combinations.
Autumn is my favourite season.

Haul: Sephora : Stila Play It Cool Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick Set, Invisibobble – I Live In Wonderland Collection the traceless hair ring holiday trio (in Tea Party Spark), Chloé Chloé Deluxe Mini Duo Set, Sephora Collection Almond Foot Mask, BECCA Glow on the Go Highlighter Set (Champagne Pop), Consonant 100% Natural High-Performance Skin Renewal Set (for Dry Skin), Sephora Favorites Men’s Skin Care Essentials.
Point rewards and offers w/ purchase: Prada Candy, Chloé Love Story, Living Proof Restore Perfecting Spray, Sephora Collection Eye Pencil 12h Wear Waterproof in Love Affair, Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask, Dr. Brandt Skincare needles no more – no more baggage eye, Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Damask.
Cover FX (25%): Powder Bronzer and Custom Enhancer Drops, both in Sunkissed. With these two my bronzer collection is complete; no more bronzers :)
MAC Snow Ball collection: Single Eyeshadows – It’s Snowing, Stylishly Merry and the lipstick in Rouge en Snow (ordered online).

Weekend plans: Get some sleep as I had two sleepless nights this week w/o any apparent reason; curious fact, my mom, who is in Europe, couldn’t sleep during the same nights. Some shopping tomorrow morning, cooking, studying and preparing a package to be sent to Europe.

What’s your favorite part about fall?: Love the temperatures, the colours and like Deborah S, the smell of wood smoke. However, I always get nostalgic during the fall season.

Mellan looks like he takes his job very seriously. 😀

*Sephora — UD Heavy Metals Palette; Tarte birthday gift; various samples.

Also, the Vanishing Cabinet Oct. 2017 “Monster Mash”: Sinister Sprite Lip Shimmer Balm in Scroll of Thoth (shimmery white gold); Mystic Matte Liquid Lipstick in We Belong Dead (cool grape purple); mini Liquid Alchemy Changing Topcoat in Reign of Terror (a gorgeous shimmery metallic purple); Contour in Deathly Pallor (grayed lavender — can’t wait to try it); Highlighter in Moonlight Transformation (shimmery white gold); and Eyeshadow in Sad, Beautiful Monster (shimmery grayed swamp green with gold duochrome).

Other – Up & Up Grapefruit Facial Wipes. I’ve never tried them before. Tattoo Junkee Lip Kit in Grunge.

Weekend plans: Just the usual cleaning and shopping. Monday we’re seeing Depeche Mode.
What’s your favorite part about fall?: The lower temperatures and the beautiful colors of the leaves. This year I”m very grateful for the rain washing smoke out of the air.

I always forget something off my haul: Dreaming Tree Soapworks Mystic Mists in Hocus Pocus and Pumpkin King. These both smell so amazing! They’re muli-purpose spray for body, fabrics, or air freshener.

Haul: Jaclyn Hill Palette. Morphe brushes. Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism palette. Colourpop Yes Please palette. Benefit Snow globe Set with Pore Professional Primer and Rockateur blush. Colourpop Super Shock Eyeshadows in So Quiche and Bubbles. Christmas shopping already!

Weekend Plans : I have to input observations to program for work and work on a lesson plan/ sub plan bc I’m going to conference next week in Chicago

Favorite part of fall : Sweater weather and boots!

Haul: NYX Lip Lingerie Vault, NYX Liquid Suede Vol. II Vault, Tarte Magic Star Collector’s Set, Lorac Mega Pro 4 palette, and Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism palette.

I also hauled (quite literally) 80 lbs of dry food from Chewy for my 12 rescue cats! That should last us hopefully 2 months.

Weekend Plans: House chores, working on a fall jigsaw puzzle, and watching scary movies! I may head to Lowe’s for some pansies to plant by the mailbox and more pumpkins for the front porch.

Favorite part of Fall: A break from the heat, Halloween, boots, and pumpkins!

Mellan can supervise for me anytime!

A few months of shopping my stash and unloading unused products and I was ready to get a few things.

Update from last week — On a whim I bought the IT duo lip liner and Vitality Lip Flush Hydrating Gloss Stain in Sweet Rose. I thought it was meh. Then I kept reaching for it, then again, and again. I’m not an IT lover, but I am super impressed with this gloss stain. Finally, the perpetual dryness of my lips is gone. It’s comfortable, and outstandingly long wearing. I’m super impressed and bought a second one in Inspiring Red. I’ll check in on that when I get it.

Oldie but goodie — Laura Mercier Eye Art Artist’s Palette. It’s not a new or trendy item, but it was just the combo I was looking for. I like it quite a lot.

LM Caviar stick in copper. Nice. Super easy to use and a great payoff.

Sephora Points:
LM Eye primer in Wheat. LOVE it.
MUFE Artist Face Color in S-214. Nice to try. Like it a lot. Unlikely to get the full.

Rediscovery — it’s like a new product right? In the way back I unearthed UD Naked 3. This is a nice palette I had completely forgotten about!

Not much. Hubs and I have a shooting pool throw down happening! lol. Not sure how this came about, but we’re taking it to each other on the felt tonight!

Other than that, not much. I have one of my busiest months at work coming up. I have five straight days of presenting next week, and I need to practice with my PowerPoint a time or three. The same preso over and over to different committees. Shoot me now.

This is our best time of year in New England. It is clear, and glorious, and postcard perfect a lot of the time. There isn’t a thing about the season to complain about. It’s been a bit warmer than usual for late October, but I’m not complaining!

I got that IT Vitality Hydrating Gloss Stain a while back, came with some other items in a kit. OMG, the formula is divine, SO hydrating, probably the most hydrating gloss I’ve ever tried, just wish it had more pigment., but it’s awesome for dry winter lips. And yes, another big fan of LM Eye Basics in Wheat , will be picking up the full size at next sale. At first, I thought it was a bit pricey, but since it’s replacing 3 products (concealer, brightener, primer) and 3 steps, totally worth it. Hope you survive your cray busy month at work!

Agree completely on Wheat! I had never tried it, and it is totally versatile just as you describe. I’m sold.

I will say that the IT gloss is the product that has surprised me the most in years. What do you know? A product that meets its claims and then some. I bought the red one hoping that pigment will leave bit of a deeper stain with the same hydration.

A belated post but I missed this weeks one so figured I’d go for it anyways

Haul: Milk Makeup The A-Team set as I’ve wanted to try a bunch of their stuff but only have like one thing, and I prefer minis of stick products anyways as when do you ever finish one. I also got the Sephora Favorites Skin Wonderland Set. Also one with many things I’ve wanted to try but not buy the full size (and full price) so that works out well.

Weekend plans: Recover from the ridiculous flight I had back to Portland from SFO (don’t fly through there while it’s under construction if you can avoid it!). We were supposed to fly out Thursday at 3 PM and fly out Friday at 3 AM which sucks already but add the chronic pain and it was abysmal. I had to go to my urgent care guy and get a massive shot of NSAIDs in my hip right after he opened…

What’s your favorite part about fall?: Cooler climes, better air quality, the colors!, and all the Hygge stuff you get to do.
