Haul: I used my Sephora 10% off coupon: Urban Decay Urban Spectrum palette (love! these are what I think of when I think of UD shadows!); Urban Decay x Gwen Stephani lipsticks in Firebird, Rock Steady, and Wonderland (love! although I do need to use a lip liner or primer to keep them from bleeding a bit in the corners — the fact that they sell matching pencils should be a clue, I guess); BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Pearl; Makeup For Ever HD Blush in 510 Raspberry and #148 Blending Blush Brush (love!); Ardency Inn Americana Custom Coverage Concentrate in Fair Pink (to mix with Pink Beige) and Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer Protect + Perfect SPF47 and Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer Physical Defense SPF30 so I can mix some bases in addition to IT Cosmetics CC Cream; and… I took the plunge: Ardency Inn lip color in Black is Blue and Sephora + Pantone lipstick in Serenity — and they do make a gorgeous medium periwinkle on the lips when mixed, which I even think looks really good on me, but have yet to wear out of the apartment! I think I need to go to a music concert — something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time anyway — so I have someplace to wear it! Both colors should also be good for turning down the temperature on lipsticks that lean a bit too warm — I’m going to have to try mixing them with some of my other lipsticks.

It’s so beautiful. I haven’t even used half the colors in in yet, but I’m totally in love. The only thing I can’t figure out about it is the way the lid isn’t attached to the rest of the packaging — makes it a bit impractical to store if you don’t have a space to display it! It seems like they at least could have made it magnetic. I need to put a big rubber band around it, because I’ve got my palettes stored on end so I can easily find the one I want not lying flat in a pile I have to dig through!
And Christine, I really recommend trying the Ardency Inn Black is Blue lipstick. It’s gorgeous, and the formula is excellent.

OMG me too! I had tried switching to Essie but it dried my nail beds like mad. I have the Butter London ones that are supposed to clean all nails with one pad…but no, they totally don’t if you use darker shades. So, I pretty much save them for when I’m lazy and have on a light shade.

Haul: YSL Clash and White palette – unusual and gorgeous – I love it! Also the new Spring 2016 YSL palette, but the colors look similar to the new NARS eyeshadows for Spring, so I don’t think I’m going to keep it. The packaging is beautiful though. Bits and bobs from ebay: Armani ETK #24 and Chanel Tisse Fantaisie.
Weekend plans: Well, I did something horrible to my back, so a whole lot of motionless nothing is my guess.
What do you do when you need to clear your head?: Clean up – an uncluttered space usually helps me think more clearly or get up and go for a break (at work) or pet cats (at home).

Haul: *Finally* got the UD x Gwen Stefani blush palette and 3 lipsticks (Firebird, Wonderland and Plaid) after UD UK failing to fulfil my first order. This time they came good and I even got the same samples again ?. The palette is gorgeous and so are the lipsticks. Can’t get over how different Plaid looks on the skin to how it’s in the tube, love it.

Plans for weekend: just relaxing on Sat plus food shopping after a stressful couple of days where I’ve had medical appointments, had a long one today for my little girl, unfortunately she needs glasses at only 21 months corrected due to her medical history ?. Still, it could be worse so I’m very grateful. On Sun we’ve been invited over to a friend’s house to meet their little boy again, born last summer.
What do I do when I need to clear my head? Sit with a cup of tea and surf the net, Facebooking and reading beauty sites like this one ?.

Weekend plans: If they clear out the streets by tomorrow, I’m going to to Sephora to hunt down some more Luminous Creme lipsticks. I hope they have a Pepper, it’s become such a go-to lipstick for me and I’ve already made a noticeable dent in the one i got in December. Although, I did see the swatch sheet on someone’s Instagram that allegedly shows the new formula, and they do have a shade labeled Pepper. We’ll see.
How I clear my head: I usually do some difficult knitting. If I have to put my mind completely to that task, it’s hard to think about anything else. And then once I’ve gotten some knitting done, I have the bonus satisfaction of having produced something.

How do you find the Burt’s Bees wipes compare to other wipes you’ve tried?
I find them more soothing and refreshing than other wipes, like Sephora and Elf. Sometimes I use the BB wipes to clean my face after a workout and it’s so nice

Charlotte Tilbury Mini Miracle Eye Wand in shade 2. Holy sh*t. Seriously. I applied the treatment side of the pen and my fine lines completely disappeared. My whole under eye area looked smooth and relaxed. This is crack cocaine for my eyes. I’m wickedly impressed. I tapped some MAC corrector on top and then the brightener from the eye wand and it’s uncanny. I’m buying a backup or five. I hate these pens BTW.. but making an exception for exceptional product.

Haul: I picked up Too Faced’s Chocolate Bon Bons palette the other week in-store. I got home and an entire pan (Cafe au Lait) was dislodged and glued itself onto another shade (Cashew Chew). There was glue seeping out of the pans and it looked like fingerprint smudges were some of the pans, kind of like when UD’s second outflow of the Naked palettes did from factory employees pressing the shadows into the pans? Anyways, I reached out to Sephora three times and have yet to receive a response so 🙂
But other than that, I also purchased Sephora eyeliner in Love Affair. If only I could find a color like that as a solid gel liner!!
Weekend plans: Work, church, staff luncheon, perhaps something for the Super Bowl? I don’t really know many sports enthusiasts, but it’s always fun just to get together!

What do you do when you need to clear your head?: not much now, but when I was healthy I had a bunch of stuff depending on my mood. Hiking, jogging, yoga, baking, cleaning, a nice long shower, reorganizing things at home, hanging out with my cat, playing around with makeup, having a good cry, meditating, listening to music, doing my nails, having a pamper night, and on and on and on. I have an anxiety disorder so I got very good at figuring out how to clear my head.

Weekend plans: My weekly hair ritual. It’s becoming a PITA because it’s past my bra strap, thick, unruly, naturally has a frizzy, wavy texture that I blow out straight as a pin. But the length allows me many hot weather options.

So now the whole family is coming over today for dinner.

Wow! What an awesome haul, Pearl! Lots of favorites on the list. What are you loving so far besides the facial mist?
The eye creams are great! I’ve got the ceramide, glycolic and hyaluronic eye creams and so far, so good – they’re emollient and thick and I like that they feel like they stay on the skin, instead of getting absorbed and you’re back to a dry skin. I haven’t tried the seaweed mask yet, but will this weekend. The cellufirm drops . . . .meh, haven’t noticed anything good or bad either way. There was one other night cream I had gotten, can’t remember, but I really like that as well. They all smell really good, but not fragranced, just like a scent that would be naturally occurring in a few of the ingredients. I feel like this is a sleeper hit brand – I”m new to it but wow, really good value!
