- Haul: Several pieces from Guerlain’s fall collection should arrive today!
- Weekend plans: Clean my office, and then try to clean my loft (where I take photos/store makeup)… which is a disaster zone right now.
- What’s your favorite flower?: I’ve always loved sunflowers and tulips, but right now, I am so into peonies.

Haul: a new jar of Clinique SuperDefense face cream and a bottle of a new fragrance (new for me) from Lise Watier called “Vent du Sud” (“Wind from the South”)
Weekend plans: my older son comes home this Sunday for his sister’s wedding so picking him up from the airport and preparing a “welcome home” dinner are front and centre for me
Favourite flower: tough one but peonies and lily of the valley vie for first place (my own wedding bouquet held a lot of lily of the valley) but tulips are a favourite cut flower for in the house and also so pretty in my garden where they rarely last because the crazy spring weather here quickly turns into a heat-wave and basically “cooks” them and the daffodils which is really sad!
I cannot arrange tulips at all! Any tips?
You need a thing called a frog. It has “teeth” that you stick the flower into and it stays where you put it. You put the frog in the bottom of a non-see through vase. Perfectly arranged tulips.

Nah – I think they look best just put in a vase or pitcher and left to look natural. Apparently, the ones you get from the florist (or some florists) are “treated” (I think they’re chilled while wrapped in newspaper or something) so they don’t droop the way the one you cut from your garden do. But honestly, I think they look best just “natural” in a pitcher.

■Haul: I went to Sephora to return the Hourglass powder in Luminous (it’s nothing special, and for $45 it wasn’t worth it) and exchanged it for single versions of UD Virgin and Naked since I hate having to lug around my naked palette for only a couple shades, a Fresh Soy Face Cleanser (my fave), and made a spur of the moment purchase of UD’s new lipstick in Fiend. I like it, but it’s not as long wearing on me as the MUA at Sephora claimed it was. Also got my VIB Rouge stuff (yay!) and a sample of glamglow (eh)
■Weekend plans: I think my boyfriend and I are going to take a day trip to the cape and go to P-Town and then play mini golf.

Do you have a particular color of rose you prefer?
Haul: 7 more out of the 12 new shades of Annabelle Twist-Up lipsticks. (My local Rexall through them into a bracket without any signage, but the shades… those shades *_*)
Weekend plans: Clean and working on my project.
What’s your favorite flower?: I’m not sure really as I’ve never singles in on one. I like Pansy’s as a kid as they reminded me of pandas. Right now after hunting them down for a project I think Ranunculus Asiaticus (Persian Buttercup) are pretty badass. lol

That photo of Mellan is just too much… He’s all like “I want new toys, these toys bore me”.
Haul: Nothing makeup-wise, although I did find a new HG conditioner: Babyliss Argan Oil. I swear, my hair has never felt better.
Weekend plans: Surprisingly busy weekend. We’re going to a show tonight and we’re invited to two birthday parties tomorrow (one afternoon, one evening). Somehow, I have to fit a lot of laundry in there…
What’s your favorite flower?:Lilies, especially Easter Lilies, although peonies are a close second.

Haul: 4 CND Vinyllux polishes and topcoat. Curious to see if it lives up to the claim of being completely dry in 8.5 minutes and lasting for a week. 2 a england polishes, Dragon and Holy Grail. Urban Decay liquid liner in El Dorado.
Weekend Plans: Just a calm weekend at home.
Favorite Flower: Highly fragrant ones. But especially orange blossoms, stargazer lilies, gardenias, and tuberose.
I don’t know if I’ve ever really seen orange blossoms up close! I bet they smell amazing.
Oh well, orange blossoms aren’t very fancy looking flowers, but you can smell an orange tree full of blossoms from several feet away. They smell so intoxicating. 🙂

Plans: go to the waterpark tomorrow and cleaning/grocery shopping for the week on Sunday

Haul:
Little sample sizes and travel sizes of soap, shampoo, lotion, and whatever else is required for traveling. (The Target near my work ran out of Pacifica Coconut wipes! ;_; Need to try another Target because wow they are nifty.) I scored a portable battery powered toothbrush and a pocket sized hairspray for my husband from Ulta, of all places.
Weekend plans:
Plot and pack my luggage. (I only have 50 pounds to work with I really have to think carefully!) Watch UFC on Saturday night. Do an outdoor jog/walk, likely on Sunday.
What’s your favorite flower?:
I have a thing for orchids because I grew up with them around the house. Lately I fell in love with orange blossoms.
How long is your trip, Ceres? I hate checking luggage so I always attempt to fit everything into a carryon, lol!

Weekend plans: Headed to my mom for the weekend.. haven’t been to her in a few weeks, so it should be nice!!
Favorite flower: Sunflowers.. all the way. I love roses, and pretty much any flower, but my all time fave is sunflowers. They are just cheerful to me

Haul: I bought a Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and a tightline cake eye line. I hope I can handle the lining technique.
Weekend plans: Plan my trip to Vienna in two weeks. I am looking forward to be back in that city again.

Orchids are so pretty! I have heard they can be hard to take care of, though, so I have never had one!

What’s your favorite flower?: Bleeding hearts, birds of paradise, calla lilies, carnations, tulips, orchids, and peonies.
It’s a Nylabone! 🙂 It’s a bone that they can chew on for months and months – very durable.
In that case, I need to get one for my dog. 😀
By the way, is it okay to apply powder over Chanel’s Le Blush Creme? My cheeks tend to get a little oily when it’s hot/humid, so I always need to use a blotting/setting powder.
Yes, I think it’s fine, since they set to such a powder-like finish!

Weekend plans: Go to my local farmer’s market, study for my summer school finals, and then I have a dance performance.
What’s your favorite flower?: It’s a tie between stargazer lilies and red and pink roses!

This weekend I’m driving my brother-in-law to a festival he’s DJing, and its a long weekend here in Canada, so it’s gonna be one heck of a drive…
My favourite flower is probably lilac, but anything with small purple flowers pretty much does it for me. I like daffodils too.

Haul: Tangle Teezer in Pink, Organix Biotin and Collagen Conditioner, L’oreal Kids Tangle Tamer in Pear (bought it to take with me on vacation to Puerto Vallarta to use after being in the water at the beach or the pool), Essie Turquoise and Caicos, OPI Alpine Snow, Essie Matte Topcoat (per a tip from MakeupbyTiffanyD on youtube to put a layer of matte topcoat in between your two coats of color to prevent streaking and bc I have extremely ridgy fingernails).
Weekend plans: Visiting with boyfriend’s family. Maybe going to a store in Hermosa Beach where you can make your own perfume oil.
What’s your favorite flower?: The Yellow and Hot Pink Ombre tulips, Peonies or Baby’s Breath.

Haul: Since Sephora doesn’t exist in the Netherlands anymore (I am still mourning about that loss…) during my summer holidays in Spain I have gone to Barcelona and there I bought a Sephora bifasic eye make-up remover, Clinique Airbrush Concealer in Neutral Fair, Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray and a Sephora foundation brush.
Weekend plans: Enjoying as much as possible my time with friends and family before heading back to the Netherlands again.
What’s your favorite flower?: I love roses (preferably white or red), poppies and daisies!
It is crazy that Sephora isn’t as successful overseas 🙁 It just seems like they try? but then they shut down.

Weekend: School, going out and I might pick up Mac Sweetie or Speed Dial, who knows 😀 .
Flower: I love Camellias and Roses, Orchids are also beautiful but too expensive!

Haul: thanks for the heads up about the flash sale, I got the Sugarpill pro palette and a chromalust in goldilux. It’s my first experience with Sugarpill and I’m in love with both! I also got Mac heaux, lip liner in brick, and chromagraphic pencil in hi def cyan.

Favorite Flower : I love roses but I find carnations quite lovely too! For my artwork, I love drawing/painting lilies and tulips.

Haul: Finally finished my navy estee lauder eyeliner after YEARS so I replaced it with a Sephora contour eye pencil 12 hr one in Sailor Suit, works great and it’s only $9! Boyfriend got me the Ariel mirror compact. Then I’m waiting my package from Ulta that has the UD Naked finish powder and the B6 spray because I’m terribly oily and it’s annoying me, so I’m curious to see if the B6 spray helps.
Weekend Plans: Nothing out of the ordinary, just church then hit the town with my parents who want to go to Macy’s on Sunday.
Fave Flower: Orchids, but I kill them, so I can’t own them in the house, which breaks my heart. Gave one to a friend for her bday years ago and hers blooms beautifully every year, I’m about to ask her what sort of magic she uses because mine dies in a month. :'(
I have never attempted to have a real orchid in the house, because I fear killing it 🙁 I’ve just heard they’re not easy, and I don’t have a green thumb at all! You will have to ask her and share her secrets!

Weekend plans: Buy some storage options for my makeup and think over returning a long cream lace maxi dress I bought. It’s stunning but comes with a short slip and needs a longer one for it to look good. Problem is the dress is quite expensive and requires altering.

I wore the the Taj Mahal blush with sunny Seoul lipstick. It’s weird that the lipstick is a colour that shouldn’t but does look great on me. Next on my list is Shanghai spice and possibly the Nars blush palettes…they are stunning!

Haul: I finally got my Kat Von D foundation from the US. Hooray! Except the shade I got was too dark for me. :(((( I paid almost $50 for it, so I just wasted quite a bit of money over something I can’t use. I’ve been trying to sell it off, but I live in an Asian country obsessed with whitening products, so not sure if I can even cut my losses. 🙁 The foundation has really nice coverage and finish, though! I might try to buy one again in the future…
Weekend plans: Looking forward to spend Sunday with my close friends.
What’s your favorite flower?: Cliché, but there are no flowers that fit me more than red roses.

Haul: Supersized Perricone moisturizer (just way more economical than small size). Then I got a trialset of WEN hair care in almond mint. My hair is curly and can be frizzy so although skeptical I have it a go. I have only used it once but so far, so good. Nice stuff!! Last purchase is a set by Josie Maran which includes her foundation that comes out white but ends up matching your skin. Turns out it actually works!!! I kind of like it. Not super heavy coverage but gets the job done. Also like her coconut water cheek tint as well.
Plans: Taking my daughter out to Western Mass to talk to a modeling agent. No idea what to expect.
Favorite flower: Lilac, although it’s technically more of a bush but I just love them. I also love Hydrangea’s….so gorgeous down the Cape at this time of year!
We just got a massive Philosophy Purity Made Simple, as my husband loves that for his face wash – even though it looks ridiculous, it’s such a good deal!

Flower: peonies, anemones, sweet peas, snap dragons and fire and ice roses – the first flower my fiancé ever gave me
My first thought when I saw that photo of Mellan was that it looked like you had put his toys next to him and he was just going…. meh! I love dogs, they are so funny 🙂
Haul: I bought Origins A Perfect World moisturiser, which I quite like but my skin has gone quite oily and acne prone recently, which is incredibly frustrating as I have sensitive skin, and there is almost nothing formulated for oily skin that I can use.
Weekend plans: Work! I will be taking photos of our puppy class tomorrow, so that should be a squee-a-thon haha!
What’s your favorite flower?: Frangipanis 🙂 they remind me of when I was a child growing up in the north-west of Australia. It’s a shame I’ve never found a fragrance that captures it!

Weekend plans: my husband worked all day Saturday and Sunday, so I’ve just been cleaning the house and reading “The Gospel According to Coco Chanel”.
Favorite flower: I’ve always loved carnations, but I like having fresh flowers in the house all the time, so I’ll get whatever is in season, usually variety bouquets.
