As you can see I went completely overboard with brushes. I was looking for a large brush for finishing powder and ended up with a bunch of eyeshadow brushes instead, lol.
Weekend plans: Not sure yet. My mom is visiting tomorrow. I really need to re-organize my closet so I might do that on Sunday if I have time.
When do you shower?: In the morning! Showers always wake me up, so if I had them before bed I wouldn’t be able to sleep.

That’s a hard one! If I HAD to choose, I’d probably go for one of the RBR eyeshadows. Abyssinian Catbird looks really really nice! The color seems to be similar to Armani ETK #6 😀
Picked up the Urban Decay Naked Palette #1 the other day and I love it! I’m usually a MAC girl, but now I want Naked Palette #2.

I ordered a fourth Burberry complete eye palette, No.2 Mocha and another single, No.8 Khaki. And they come with a gift with purchase to sweeten the deal (two mini velvet lipsticks, makeup bag and a lot of samples). I also bought another Origins GinZing brightening cream shadow in Coffee Buzz (I have Khaki Kick and I love it).
Plans: celebrating my father-in-law’s birthday on Sunday.
I shower in the morning, but I love taking baths in the evenings.

I hauled 5 Covergirl Liquiline Blast eyeliners this week! I also bought the Ecotools Bronzer brush, which I LOVE for applying my Studio Fix Fluid, totally eclipsed the 187 for me. I got some new primer too, Face of Australia brand, it’s a bang on dupe for Napoleon Auto-Pilot Primer. LOVE it!!
Nothing of note for the weekend but I got some pretty amazing news this week… I was offered a job as a trainee vet nurse, my dream job!! Still in shock, I can’t believe it.

Haul: absolutely nothing!
Weekend plans: yoga and the gym and perhaps a movie. I want to make some stew tomorrow as well
When do I shower – it varies so much but I much prefer showering in the evening – my mornings are just a bit too hectic and the house is a bit of a mad-house generally. Before bed, I can really luxuriate but there are times I’ll shower when I get home from school or in the middle of the afternoon or whenever the whim takes me if I’m not working that day.
I’m with you, Mariella–a shower that’s *not* in the morning is one where you can relax!
The past week/10 days have not been the greatest work-wise, so I have applied a poultice of retail therapy and seem to be feeling better!
Haul: Urban Decay Glinda palette, MAC Shell Pearl beauty powder, paint pots in Let’s Skate and Vintage Selection and lipglass in Nymphette. I also bought the Once Upon A Time eyeshadow solely because I love that show and Cream Soda blush because that was my dad’s favorite drink! Happily, I like both colors a lot!
Weekend Plans: Getting my hair done tomorrow, Downton Abbey and Beyonce on Sunday!
Shower Time: Before bed. That way, I can sleep in a little longer in the morning!

Haul for the week is just Daddy’s Little Girl and picked up Party Parrot (missed it the first round)! It’s been one of those weeks where anything is awesome at this point. I’m looking to finish some writing, get an hour of yoga in and call it a night! I rather hope I can say that for the whole weekend!
I’m hoping to finish up a few posts for tomorrow and squeeze in a little yoga myself before bed! 🙂

Haul: The last big haul before a three month hiatus – NARS Night Porter eyeshadow, NARS Smudgeproof eyeshadow primer, Buxon Venus Luminizer, MAC Magenta lip pencil, Sephora Silicone-free face primer, BareMinerals loose foundation in Fair, Buxom Sugar lipgloss, Buxom mascara (deluxe sample), Boots No. 7 Rose Pink blush, and Urban Decay Glinda palette. I couldn’t help myself on the palette. 😛 When I swatched it in stores I fell in love with it all over again and nabbed it.
Weekend Plans: I’m working all weekend, but hopefully I’ll get more writing done.
When do you shower? I generally use it as a wake-up, so right after I awaken. I’ve tried to do it at night, but it just won’t catch for me.

I actually asked them why they had it on display for sale if it wasn’t available yet (apparently it’s launching the 9th, but they already have it in on hand stock), and the MUA said they wanted to repromote the original shade with the hype from the new one. From the look on the guy’s face, I’m pretty sure he felt as silly saying that as it sounded.

Weekend Plans: Work! I got a little promotion so I’m excited and nervous at the same time!
Showers: I like them in the evenings, but sometimes they feel great in the mornings!
I had a friend who went to art school, and my goodness, you are SO right that it’s not cheap!
Yes! Specially if you want great quality paints and brushes, a rich color made with true pigments will cost around $50 (depends on the color as well) and that is a small tube! A true Cobalt Blue (beautiful blue) was like $80!! And don’t get me started with brushes…

I’m really getting into ds makeup so I picked up loreal infallible eyeshadow in purple obsession(to celebrate getting into school for fall) and a new loreal nail polish called royalty reinvented. Oh and loreal voluminous million lash mascara!

Haul:I kinda went overboard this week. Tarte Energy LipSurgence, Laura Mercier lip glace in Discrete and caviar eye stick in Sand Glow, YSL Volupte Sheer Candy in Fig (I know you hated this but I actually kinda love mine), Benefit’s World Famous Easiest Nudes kit, Lancome Baume in Love in Urban Ballet, Clinique Chubby Stick for eyes in Bountiful Beige, Estee Lauder Sensuous Rose blush, UD Glinda palette (I went to Ulta to exchange a BB cream and walked out with that, somehow), Hourglass Femme Rouge lipstick in Vintage, MAC 242 brush. Whew! It helps that for some of it I was returning items so I didn’t spend as much as it looks like.
Weekend plans: Gaming Saturday and work/house hunting Sunday. We’re slowly running out of time to find one, eep.
Shower: Mostly I shower at night because it means I can sleep later in the morning, but I have to admit I like a shower in the morning to wake me up and get me going.

Weekend plans- work, work, work!
When do you shower- almost always in the evening. It’s just so soothing.

Haul: The most recent purchase I made was the Eylure “Oh, Honey!” lashes. Other than that, I picked up a couple of favorites that I needed to get (NARS Pure Radiant TM & NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base) and Smashbox “Flush” Blush. Would love to get the UD Theodora Palette, NARS Seduction Blush, and that new eye palette, but I’ve got other expenses that come first, so looks like I’m going to miss out on those.
Weekend plans: I was really hoping to get to meet my new nephew this weekend, but I think I have a stomach bug, so that’s definitely not happening this weekend because I’m not risking getting the little one sick. Definitely bummed, but will probably just be spending the weekend drinking fluids, not eating, looking for jobs, and watching the game on Sunday.
When do you shower?: I’m more of a shower at night person. It’s relaxing and I much prefer getting into bed all fresh and clean.
I think I need to replace my Smudgeproof! I have three tubes open, though, and I need to figure out if all of those are mostly empty, lol.

Shower: always in the evening. I get way too hot if I shower in the morning, and I hate going to bed not feeling clean. Since I’ve got curly hair, I can easily go to bed with wet hair, wake up with the most insane looking hair and still make it look good with a bit of styling. 😛
I know it’s a big haul when it takes up the whole screen, LOL! 😀
What Mario Badescu products have been miracle products for you so far?
What I’ve tried so far is:
The drying cream – pretty good at drying out pimples, even the “underground” ones. Waiting for the drying lotion, which is supposed to be even better.
The healing cream – has done miracles for my sensitive, dry, dehydrated, flaky, red skin, acne-prone skin (yes, it’s a nightmare). No more flaky, red nose, less redness, no dry skin, no stingyness (which I often get from other products). It has made my skin so soft, less red and I have barely had any pimples since I started using it. In the beginning I used it all over my face, but since the pot is so small (and expensive), I’ve started to just use it in problem areas. Probably my HG skin product!
The control cream – also makes skin less red, more hydrated and more evened toned.
The silver powder – have only tried this twice yet, but it is supposed to work miracles for blackheads, whiteheads and enlarged pores.
The facial spray – have barely tried it out, but it seems very hydrating. Smells quite strongly of rose though.
I’ve also got an eye make-up remover, which works decently.
What I’ve found, is that none of the products irritate my skin or break me out, they don’t sting or cause redness, and particularly the healing cream has done miracles. 🙂
Got the glycolic acid toner yesterday, waiting on the healing and soothing mask, the special healing powder, another healing cream, enzyme cleansing gel and the drying lotion. 🙂

Haul: My Hourglass Suede and Paperself lashes arrived! I also got Burberry Plum Pink. I am kind of happy only 4 of the quads are available here, and it’s really the only one I want (for now).
Weekend plans: I’m actually supposed to kick back and relax this weekend. I even managed to clean the house on Friday just so that I’ll be able to do that! However I’m itching to do some more photos so we’ll see. We’re going to a spa for massage on Sunday! That’s going to be relaxing I hope.
When do you shower: Usually in the morning. Sometimes I do it before bedtime so I can go to bed all fuzzy and warm though.
I think my biggest advice is… to annoy the crap out of any dog you get from the get-go. We would just touch and pull at him EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME, as a puppy, so he is very, very tolerant. There are no “spots” you can’t touch. His threshold for being annoyed is so, so high. But I can put my hands on his feet, tail, in his mouth, etc. and I feel like this has made him a generally more mellow and easy going dog overall 🙂
Haha OK I’ll bear this in mind! I’m just a bit worried the dog will very soon find out I’m a big softie and start doing whatever!

SHOWER: on weekdays I do it at night so I don’t have to get up early and on weekends I do it in the morning so I can just crash at night lol

Plans: Um, I just finished tidying up the bedroom, but aside from that I have nothing concrete.
When do you shower?: Whenever I’m dirty haha. I don’t really have a time of day I prefer to shower in, so it just depends on when I feel like I need to wash everything off me.
Where do you get your candles from?
Just local garden centres. They generally have a really nice selection of brands.
Haul: MAC Shell Pearl, Lancome Jade Crush waterproof Kohl eyeliner and 3 old stock Z-palettes on clearance from a ebay seller. 😉
Weekend plans: Reclaimed my kitchen from the mice so I’m back to working on a dress. Body count 10 but Saturday …..
When do you shower?: I shower before bed because I let my hair dry over night and I don’t have 3 hours in the morning to wait for it to air dry.

I have a family get-together Saturday evening, and might do grocery shopping Sunday afternoon, when the stores will be empty because everyone will be watching the Superbowl.
I have the same shower schedule as you, Christine, in the morning and before bed. The morning is because I go the gym and in the evening it’s just to feel clean before going to bed.
LOL! What about… project try something different each day? Or make sure you rotate through so you’re using stuff you don’t always use? 🙂

Weekend plans: Cooking lots of food, and taking pictures of that food.
When do you shower?: At night. My hair is really long and takes a long time to dry (don’t like using heat on it) so showering in the morning doesn’t really work for me haha

Haha, Mellan and his bath! I love how he wanted to get in there but seemed a bit stumped by the height of the side at first. I used to wash Kafka in my shower/bath, but the flying German shepherd hair that stuck to all the walls when he’d shake himself was too much. So with The Hairy German (10 times *MORE* hair!!), I always do it outside.
Haul: erm, stuff…. no makeup stuff.
Weekend Plans: I need to really clean my house. The Hairy German is blowing out his winter coat, so my house looks like it has giant dust balls like in an old Western movie. Every time I brush him and then vacuum/sweep, MORE hair seem to pop up. (??!?) I also need to organise my desk & office which look like a tornado hit it, but I’ll probably procrastinate for yet another week (or two)…
Shower: No set time, but I prefer at nights. It’s one of the few ways I can unwind and get the knots out of my neck after a long day.
No makeup? Fragrance counts. I know you had to have purchased fragrance sometime this week!
*Blush* I did. I count perfume as “beauty” though, so I got away with saying “no makeup.” LOL. I got samples of some more Tom Fords and more Serge Lutens, as well as some things from Bond No. 9 & L’Artisan Parfumeur. And a big *giant* decant of one of the Guerlain Exclusives arrived up today as a gift from a friend. It’s called Angelique Noir, and I think I’m going to start testing it out tonight. 😀

Be careful when shopping ladies. I was on my way to Marshalls to do some perfumes and beauty hauling. I stopped at an ATM that has side by side terminals. I noticed a guy was already there on the right side terminal I went to the one on the left. He had been pressing numbers and coming up with no money. I was rushing so I got my money and left without making sure the screen cleared. I then went and got a coffee at a Dunkin Donuts across from the ATM. On the way back I noticed that the man had moved to the ATM I was at. He continues to press buttons and come up with no money. I knew it was sketchy but I wanted to make it to Marshalls. I got to Marshalls and my card was declined. Long story short the guy tried to log into my account. He tried 17 times after the third time the account locks itself. I got it straightened out with the bank but it was nerve racking and a pain in the neck. So be aware when taking money out of the ATM.
I’m glad they were able to lock the account so he couldn’t get in!
Haul: 3 cheap mascaras (about 2€ each) and 3 every day shampoos, a chap stick and liquid soap.
Weekend plans: Sleeping, look for a purple dress for a bbf wedding in April, reading and chatting with friends.
When do you shower?: In the morning, because I don’t like leaving the house with unwashed and greasy hair.

OMG! Mellan is sooooooooooo cute!!! I checked one of his older videos, and he keeps trying to “eat” the water when you turn on the shower..he is really adorable 😀 😀

Hourglass ambient powder in radiant. Glinda palette. UD deluxe shadows in Honey and Ransom (on sale, thank God) as well as an el dorado eye liner. Then there was the year of the snake pearlmatte powder AND 2 thing from the Archie collection. Add that to the Gueralain stuff I got last weekend and there’s gonna be trouble with the hubs….oh well!! I am picking up an extra day at work so a girl has gotta reward herself sometimes! Oh and I also just last night ordered an RMK powder brush, along with some Rouge Bunny Rouge Stuff (my first time).
OK, that is really bad. I am sinking into a shame spiral….will be eating boxed mac n cheese for the forseeable future. But at least I’ll look good doing it!! lol.
