- Haul: My Beauty.com haul arrived earlier this week, where I picked up some lavender-scented laundry liquid-something-or-another and vacuum scented pearls, along with a philosophy holiday 3-in-1 gel, two lipsticks, and three nail polishes.
- Weekend plans: Digesting Thanksgiving still, I’m sure, LOL! We had both of our families together at my mom’s house for a rather epic feast yesterday.
- Favorite Thanksgiving/holiday savory dish?: Stuffing!

Haul: I ordered Hourglass Icon Femme Rouge Velvet Lipstick (I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’ll look as bright and blue-based on me as it does on others. Sometimes my warm undertone frustrates me a little) and Hourglass Exhibition duo. My Neom Relax candle arrived and I’ve been loving it every moment!
Weekend plans: Belated Thanksgiving celebration at an American girlfriend’s on Saturday! We did this two years ago (last year I was actually in the States for Thanksgiving. The meal was epic!), and my memory is a happy blur (food coma, anyone?)! I’ll probably have a lot of digesting to do on Sunday as well LOL
Favorite Thanksgiving/holiday savory dish? Does cranberry sauce count? You can have turkey every day, but cranberry sauce makes it Thanksgiving!

Haul: MAC Gentle Mineralize blush and Illamasqua nail polish duo in Viridian and Glitterati.
Weekend plans: Going to the German Christmas market tonight, yay! Then my cousin and her boyfriend are coming to visit.
Favorite Thanksgiving/holiday savory dish?: We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, but my favourite savoury Christmas dish is toasted sandwiches made with leftovers: turkey, brie and cranberry sauce. I could live on those things!
Shaun’s favorite part of Thanksgiving is the open-faced sandwich the next day, lol!
Oh man. Eat all the chocolate fruit for me! 🙁 i miss the weihnachtsmarkt so much.
This week’s haul: I was super-bad this week! I picked up Chanel’s Intrigue glossimer and Star Dust blush, plus the Guerlain Calligraphy palette. And a Korres skin care set. And a Lab Series post-shaving treatment for the hub.
Weekend plans: Going to a fundraiser for Movember tonight and having a few drinks with friends tomorrow. Plus getting some laundry done so I actually have clothes to wear. And trying to get rid of the headache that’s been bugging me on and off all week.
Favourite holiday savoury food? I’m with you- stuffing rocks. I have one that I like to do that has cashews. It generally gets a good reaction…
I think you should definitely make sure that Mellan gets some turkey. He seems concerned that he’ll be left out of the Food-tivities

Next year IMATS will be held at the MTCC in downtown Toronto which mean only needing 1 buss ride to get to it for me so I can sleep in a bit next year and arrive one time. lol 🙂

I legit just got home from the mall.
Haul: butter london disco biscuit, wallis, teddy girl. Sephora perfume trios of tocca and tokyo whatever. Got some lush goodies as well as christmas ornaments. Two pairs of sam edelman flats and I almosy walked out of henri bendel with a swarorvski studded bow ring but they didnt have my size 🙁
Weekend plans: XMAS SHOPPING WHEEE

Haul: nothing… but last monday I bought some awesome jeans, two pairs of shoes and a nice blouse.

Thanksgiving: I´m not from the USA or Canada, in my country we don´t celebrate Thanksgiving or anything similar at all. But I´m interested what was the menu you had? I just know about the Turkey that is an important dish in Thanksgiving but I don´t know anything else 🙂 .
What kind of jeans?
We had turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed butternut squash, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, and mashed yams with brown sugar topping. I think that covers it, lol!
I bought a pair of jeans from TTblues with quite nice details I really like it 😀 .
Haul: Korres Blush in #15 Natural (yayyyyy! I always wanted it!), two pairs of false eyelashes (for my pro kit. Hopefully they work well. They cost only $2). Essie Luxe Effects in Sets in Stones and Shine of the Times. I LOVE Shine of the Times!
For NYC peeps: the Cosmetics Market on 37th Av b/n 5th and Madison now sells some Korres products. The blush I bought cost $8.
Weekend plans: I am WAY behind on reading for anthropology and sociology. So I’ll be doing that. I also want to go to the National Museum of the American Indian. I was supposed to go on Thursday, but I didn’t get a chance.
Favorite Thanksgiving savory food?; Mashed potatoes always have a space on my plate!
I like mashed potatoes when you get stuffing and turkey in on the same bite!

Weekend plans: No plans for Saturday so far, but I’ve work on Sunday.
Favorite Thanksgiving/holiday savory dish?: I don’t think I’ve ever tried any traditional holiday dishes. Since I don’t live in the US we don’t have Thanksgiving in the first place and my father generally dislikes holidays, so we never celebrate at home. :/

Weekend plans: Defo staying in today. Black Friday always scares me and living near some busy intersections, I just don’t want to fight traffic and crowds. I’ll be staying in and sleeping! I was side-swiped on the highway Monday and I am not feeling well at all. I have a cracked lower spine and my neck is bothering me. Thankfully I was able to walk away and my car is damaged but driveable. Miracle was: Dude did pull over and stop, he had a valid/current drivers license and he had valid/current insurance. This is a rare thing where I live.
Favorite Thanksgiving/holiday savory dish?: Hmmmm. Can’t think of one. When I think of savory, I think of meat and fruit … Which grosses me out. I also think of salads with fruit … Which once again, gross me out. Maybe someone can clarify what savory is?
Wow! A lot of Chantecaille 😉 Didn’t expect that!
I am in LOVE with Chantecaille products that have texture. I guess you could say I collect the products since I have not used any of them. I had only been buying them from Nordstrom but luckily a local store carries the brand as well. They had some lovely lipsticks on the Nordstrom website. I really need to break down and buy some staple products from them.
Haul: absolutely nothing, by my own happy choice, though if I had come across that new Zoya polish that you showed the other day, Christine, I’d have bought it in a heartbeat!
Weekend plans: even though it’s not Thanksgiving here, I am making a turkey on Sunday just because (1) we were away on a mini-vacation at Canadian Thanksgiving and (b) I had to get this turkey out to make room for the majorly enormous one that I’ll need for Xmas (we have between 25 and 30 for Xmas dinner). We’ll be going to see the Santa Claus Parade in the nearby city where my daughter teaches – her students have a float in the parade and DD and her class made the Nutcracker and ballerina for the float! It should be fun and there might even be snow flurries!
My parents buy three turkeys at Thanksgiving so the whole nine all over again at least twice more during the year, LOL!
oops – how could I forget the last part? Probably some kind of glazed sweet potatoes or (I know a lot of people will gag at this) a Brussels sprout casserole from Bon Appetit some years back! We all actually really love Brussels sprouts.

LOL! I haven’t had stuffing made that way at home, but I have had it a couple of times in a restaurant, and it’s very good that way!
it’s pure unadulterated turkey fat, which of course is what makes it so good! 😉

Weekend plans: Do nothing on Friday, get my hair done and go to a debutante ball on Saturday (where I will dance in a 45 minute performance inspired by the Viennese Opera Ball), and recover on Sunday.

Weekend plans: I’m going to relax A LOT. Currently watching the football game, gonna do some holiday shopping later tonight and probably on Saturday and Sunday, too. Also, spending lots of time with family.
Favorite Thanksgiving/holiday savory dish?: Roasted Sweet Potato and Butternut Squash. OMG. Simple, but DELICIOUS. I wanted to eat the whole entire pan.

Haul: I just caved and bought the UD Black Friday Lip Pencil Set. It is a great deal and couldn’t pass up. There is only one shade I don’t think I would really wear so I might gift it. I am still on the hunt for a good powder blush, but I am also waiting for Ulta to release their cyber Monday deal later today via Facebook

Haul: Nothing, unless you count a pair of “practical” shoes, LOL. Where I live now, the “corner store” is nearly a mile away, so my flip-flops weren’t cutting it, anymore. My mom bought me a pair of Easy Spirit clogs, and they are soooo comfy! We also bought some “Santa” gifts for my daughter…
As for makeup, I’m waiting until the crowds die down a bit, but before they get crazy again…
Plans: My family goes out for Thanksgiving (and Christmas), but I wanted to cook something, so today I’m doing a small turkey & pumpkin pie.
Fave dish: My Ginger & Green Apple Yams, and my Garlic & Parmesan Mashed Potatoes (both from scratch). I found both recipes online several years ago, but I tweaked them a bit, plus using fresh ingredients helps. I love cooking!
Haul: actually didn’t buy anything! Still recovering from the VIB sale 😛
Weekend Plans: taking my bf’s friend out to Stone Brewery for his birthday, doing traffic school online :/, hanging out with family

Hi Mellan! Yes, dogs don’t miss a thing and really prefer to be involved in all aspects of life 🙂 Ours always know when we are heading out without them which isn’t very often. You would think the world was ending. Mellan’s face here reminds me of that look.
Haul: Burberry e/s palettes in #06 and #07, a few new gel eyeliners from Bobbi and MAC. Really love MAC Local Wares which is a great colour for me. Also received a MAC lippie, Crosswires, which was on backorder and it’s an unusual and very pretty colour which works so perfectly with the Small Vanity blush I picked up from the Glamour Daze collection.
Weekend Plans: Work on some repair/upgrade projects around the house and barns

It is unbelievable to me how pitiful dogs manage to look when they want to be. Amazingly expressive animals.
Haul: Nothing, actually! I’m saving up for Cyber Monday, so I can get some Christmas shopping done. I did try hunting down L’Oreal Infallible in Blinged and Brilliant, but it seems to be sold out everywhere I went. Literally found EVERY OTHER SHADE but that one. Drug store LE collections are like chasing the sacred unicorn.
Weekend plans: Working and hitting the gym to work off some of this Thanksgiving pie.
Favorite Thanksgiving/holiday savory dish?: It’s a tie between stuffing and mashed potatoes. Really, it’s all OM NOM NOM after a certain point.

I like soft foods…mashed potatoes, sweet potatos, mashed yams…not that dried out turkey…and yes, I have all my teeth except the wisdom teeth.

Haul: My Birchbox, which had a few goodies in it, but which also had a full size black mascara I don’t need. On Saturday I bought a L’Occitane face scrub and a small ExfoliKate regular from Sephora, and repurchased my Burberry powder foundation. Technically that’s this week but I’m sneaking it in 🙂
Weekend plans: Well, it’s kind of almost over. Stupid unreliable parental internet. I’ve spent it at the parents’ house in NJ having a good time, and tomorrow it’s back to the west coast with me.
fave dish: Mashed potatoes and/or stuffing, both of which I made this year and both which came out great. (My stuffing uses apples and sausage as well as celery, onion, bread, and stuffing mix. It’s fantastic.)
