I really liked the Too Face Holiday Collection this year – they had a variety of kits for eyes, lips, face, all in fun, glitzy holiday packaging. It was a very affordable way to try many of their products. I got the Everything Nice Eye Shadow kit during the Sephora sale, before it sold out, and I’ve been having a lot of fun with it, plus it smells delicious !

Hmm.. Would your choice be the MUFE Artist shadows, by any chance, Christine? 😉

Personally, I’ve been enamored with Marc Jacobs Parisienne palette and highliners! Amazing collection all around with eye products and brushes, that happened to be my favorite palette and release of Marc Jacobs because they sold a less expensive trial sized set of the liners so many could finally see what they were like! 😀

MAC Alluring Aquatics was more delightful than not! 😀

Charlotte Tilbury is fabulous! Happy that happened this year!

As far as collections go, Chanel holiday was insanely gorgeous, as well as all CDP highlighters, and Surrat entering was a good surprise. That highlighter! Lovely! Quite impressed throughout the year by Chanel!

Becca coming back made me happy!!! 😀

Hourglass expanding was a good thing.
Hard question. 😛

Not really.. They introduced The Modernist Eyeshadow Infinity Palette! 😀 No worry, they will make more. Just don’t look at sephora for them! 😉 Happy New Year! I hope you can find it! Check Bergdorfs! 😀

Lol! Hi! I meant, “not really,” to respond to the comment that Houthlass discontinued eyeshadows! 😀 I said not really.. I’m October, the modern feminist was released.. Yes!! That’s so groovy, Celia! I’ve only seen a few but wasn’t really wowed due to what I already have but they will make great collection pieces! I may cave.. It’s been known to happen! 😉 Anyway, my comment was probably entered at the same time as yours but not showing up before yours, as intended, so the thread was a bit out of place. I hope you can see that and the original comment! Thanks for your addition! 😛 Have you tried any yet?

MAC’S Alluring Aquatics. I was only able to pick up the Clear Water lipgloss. I wish that I could even stand a chance at getting some of their collections.

Tom Ford Fall 2014. I love it all- Nude Dip is the most gorgeous eye palette and the Cheek Duo is so handy and gorgeously pigmented (I got Stroked). I also loved Negligee for a dark neutral lip. It was kind of a pain hunting it all down, but I am so happy I did!

Quite possibly MAC Lightness of Being. Everything about that collection is what I love in makeup. Soft, feminine, airy…

Another very close second is actually Urban Decay’s Pulp Fiction collection. I got an amazing quad and my holy grail red lipstick out of it!
Alluring Aquatic was nice, but I only really liked the face stuff and eyeshadows. The lipsticks were a bit underwhelming for me.

MAC Artificially Wild; unfortunately, I was only able to buy the blushes, but if it had been feasible, I probably would have bought everything!

I also really love the new Kat von D palettes, and am looking forward to Innerstellar.

I love Chanel Fall 2014 and Holiday, NARS Spring 2014, and Guerlain Holiday even though I couldn’t wear half of it. I thought the Mac Alluring Aquatics was a home run and I liked some of the others they did this year too because they were wearable but with super fun elements or pops of color. The only one I bought from was Chanel Fall though.

I really liked the MAC Osborne collection – I have both of the quads and loved the Kelly Skinfinish. I missed out on the Kelly Yum Yum and both blushes, but got backups of the Patentpolish in Ruby because it was so pretty. A close second would be Alluring Aquatics – Seducing Sound lipglass, Mystical lipstick and Sea Me Hear Me blush are still getting regular use.

The new MUFE eyeshadows hands down. 1st runner up are my girls from the Nars Audacious lipsticks. I have 5 girls and plan to get more. Beautifully hydrated and pigmented. My surprise fave was the Pulp Fiction collection. I get so many compliments when I wear Mrs. Mia Wallace on my lips! She’s one bad chick. The palette once discounted was a steal and unexpected treat.

Is this considered a new collection or just a huge launch of a new (and permanent) product? I always think of a collection as something with a name and theme and also (sadly) a temporary availability. That’s one reason I didn’t mention the new Chanel eyeshadow quads or some of the new Nars shadow duos and their new Dual Intensity eyeshadows….

It sure looks like MAC’s Alluring Aquatics was “it” for a lot of people. They’d have been wise either to make more product or to bring the whole collection back again for a 2nd go round (I know I’d be buying 2 to 3 more eyeshadows at the very least).

The MUFE Artist eyeshadows are hands down my favorite new formula. When I can, I plan on buying many more of the shadows (all I have now is the palette). The buttery texture is phenomenal. However, the MAC Rocky Horror collection was unbeatable as far as excitement and hype go. I adored the colors, the formulas, and the subtle references to the Rocky Horror culture. Frank-N-Furter is my new favorite lipstick, and the sculpt is amazing. There really were some good products in their own right DESPITE the hype.

Even though there weren’t a lot of products, it would have to be Urban Decay’s Pulp Fiction. I bought the entire collection because they are the colors I always seem to wear, neutral eyes, bold lips and nails. I have worn this collection more than anything else since I bought it in July. I was tempted to buy another of the palettes for a back up, but I have plenty of the colors in so many other palettes and singles as well as similar nail colors and lipsticks. I just loved the eyeshadow palette. I also liked that the shadows were matte and I could do so many different looks from bold to muted.

I got the Pulp Fiction eyeshadow palette on sale and while it’s a really nice collection of shadows, I am glad I didn’t pay full price for it (it was over 40 dollars in Canada) as I felt it was overpriced at that price point. I really came very close to buying it and went for Naked2Basics in stead and then about a week later, I saw it on sale at Sephora’s site and grabbed it.

Oh wow! hard one..so many that I really liked bits and pieces. I really liked NARS holiday this year and the Audacious lipsticks are pretty much my favorites( although a Rouge G is on the list after holiday recovery), MUFE artists shadows are amazing, Guerlain’s holiday was stunning. I would have probably tried out more than the meteorites if I hadn’t already went bananas with the NARS and Too faced holiday collections. I must give a shout out to the ColourPop squad too. Very nice and nicely priced holiday sets! Also, I am happy Tom Ford put out the “lips and Boys” collection. I have three and only one scored an A in the ratings. But, I am pretty happy with them as wear primer and lipliner usually anyway.

Nicole Avatar

Oh..how could I forget the Chikuhodo Holiday brush sets! Those were so gorgeous. Thankfully they were sold out by the time I could snag one up. Then I did see a bad review on the craftmanship of the handles which made me kinda happy I ordered the Suqqu cheek brush vs one of the sets. But, man, they are so very pretty!

For me, it’s a toss up between MAC’s Novel Romance, which I did get several items from, and their earlier release of Alluring Aquatics, that I could truly kick myself for not grabbing up a few of those eyeshadows and perhaps a lippy too! Also love the Matte Lipstick collection they came out with, bought Damn Glamorous and La Vie En Rouge, might go for Fashion Revival if it’s still around.
Another collection I’m feeling lots of love for is Nars Dual Intensity Eyeshadows and Audacious Lipsticks! I have got to get my paws on Callisto!

MAC Alluring Aquatics! I got two of the lipsticks. One in Mystical, which I wish I didn’t get because it just sits there looking pretty…doesn’t flatter my skin tone. The other lipstick in Enchanted One, I would die for that lipstick. I had to stop using it because who would’ve know that would have became my HG nude lip!
