The Sultry Season: Face Atelier Revenge Lipstick
Face Atelier Revenge Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a deepened red with subtle brown undertones running through it. It’s extremely pigmented–I only needed one swipe to get opaque color. There is enough creaminess in the formula to apply the color evenly and easily, but it’s not so creamy that it migrates or pools in places. Face Atelier’s lipsticks are scent- and taste-free, too. This shade wore for quite a stretch of time at six hours, and it left behind a soft stain as it faded away.

Hmmm, I’d never heard of the brand before. The colors on their website aren’t wildly exciting to me, but I’m impressed by the pigmentation & wear time you got out of yours.
I adore this colour!! Does it remind you of Dark Deed?
It is similar! Creamier, more pigmented. The color definitely seems close, though!

I love this red. However, I have a question, and since you are the makeup goddess, I thought you might know. I’ve been watching Oprah for the last couple of weeks and noticed that almost every day she has on the same lipstick. It’s very pretty, a kind of frosty dark fuchsia. Would you know what kind of lipstick that is? Thanks.
You’d have to show me a picture, because I don’t watch Oprah! But if you get me a pic, I can definitely give it a shot!
You’d think with the millions of pictures of her there would be one of her with that lipstick on, no such luck. If I ever run across one, I’ll write again. Thank you.

It is too dark for me , don’t think that I would wear it tbh.
Whoa, that must be the only shade of red that I do not like. The colour repels me, and I think it’s because it looks like a mouth of someone who gorged on anothers flesh. Reminds me of Megan Fox in Jennifer’s Body..perfect for the Holloween season, but wow, the more I look at it, the more it creeps me out!

This is a beautiful color on you! Then again everything looks good on you:) BTW.. I wanted to ask you if the Guerlain Parure Gold in 02 is much lighter than 03? I’m using 03 now but I’m noticing it’s looking a little darker but I’m not sure if the 02 will be too light! I’m about the same as your skintone. Thanks!
It’s definitely lighter than 03, and I find that if I use 02 and use a slightly darker powder, it seems to match quite well!

I tried a ton of diffident Face Atelier product samples last year. I picked up pink cashmere and it’s very pigmented as well but did smell like soap at that time (that might have changed.) The formula for there Lip Glaze (I tried Peach) it nice and not as tacky as a MAC lipglass as well but I wasn’t able to test for longevity.
My shade is between #1 Porcelain and Zero Minus and I’m planning to go to IMATS Toronto to confirm (in it’s new way out in no man’s land location. >_<) but most IMATS carry Face Atelier booths as well.

After reading this, I went and ordered one – it arrived about an hour ago!
Wow! Seconding the comments on the pigmentation – I’m at work and had to blot a bit to tone it down for the office (conservative business), but I can see myself wearing this after hours 🙂
Ordered on the 7th, well after business hours on the east coast, arrived in Vancouver, BC 4 business days later.
If you’re thinking about ordering it – do it!!! You wont’ regret it 🙂
