Estee Lauder Spring 2011 Collection: Wild Violet
Pure energy that pulsates sultry sophistication is the inspiration behind the new vision in color by Estée Lauder Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux for Spring 2011. The Wild Violet Pure Color Makeup Collection is a dynamic collection of high-performance makeup and fragrance products to highlight the spring season with a burst of enthusiastic color.
In this intensely vivacious collection, lips delight in shades of electric orange, brazen cherry and violet plum, eyes are smoldering in muted neutrals with wisps of purple for maximum depth and attention while nails are rich and smokey in a modern charcoal. Adding to the collection, a vivid, lush fragrance that has a first impression of Genet Flower, Mandarin, Purple Freesia, Blue Jasmine and Wild Gardenia to create a lively experience and then Amberwood is blended in to complete scent with an energetic, multi-sensorial vibrancy.

This looks so beautiful! The promo pic is stunning, i love these colors!
Thank you EL for using an Asian model – she looks gorgeous!
I was surprised & happy too! she’s beautiful…
Agreed! The collection colors look so stunning on her.
that model is drop-dead gorgeous!
The model is so gorgeous, wow!
am I the only person who think Estee Lauder is rather obsessed with purple lately?
lol..I too have noticed the abundance of purple
looks nice…but i have to admit i’m not ready for spring just yet! it’s not even christmas! LOL…
looks likes the guerlain quad (the champs elysees). yet i love the model’s vibrant purple listick…
I’m so glad to finally see an Asian model 🙂
my thoughts exactly!
It’s very refreshing to see a model from Asia in a global ad campaign.
This one looks very good. I’m going to get the nail polish for sure.
Wow. Loves it! The more purple, the better for my purple addiction. I love the model. Stunning!!! The colors are beautiful as well.
It’s gorgeous! the violet in the palette kind of add a twist to the neutrality of the other 4 shades.
I just wanted to say that I am impressed they used in Asian model! We do no see that often.
Looks really good! The promo pic is gorgeous and the lipstick looks like something I’d like to take a closer look at.
Liu looks so good, thank you Estee
Unlike how she was styled at last years Victoria Secret show.
Wow that palette is so pretty- definitely worth a look at!
Thanks for posting the pictures:)
Lipsticks could be cool, I love the one the model is wearing! But tbh Estee Lauder always turns me off, along with Bobbi Brown…their make up always seems matronly even if it’s in fun colours. I rather get a similiar shade from a brand that I can relate to, like NARS or Illamasqua. Is that weird? Do you choose your make up based on a brand’s image?
I agree, I’d much rather buy makeup from a brand whose image I feel applies to me. Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Clinique sometimes, Fashion Fair… all have a “mature” (and decidedly unhip) image
The model is gorgeous!! The colors look really pretty. The packaging is such a turn off for me. It just screams “grandma”. I would love it if EL gave their packaging a makeover!!
This is their NEW packaging! They just hired Tom Pecheaux (major fashion show and editorial makeup artist) to be the creative force behind their freshly redesigned makeup line. I AM SO TIRED OF PEOPLE SAYING ESTEE LAUDER IS “GRANDMA”! What does that really mean? It’s so hateful. If it’s not young then of course it can’t be hip and desirable? Be sure to pass that information along to Carmen and IMAN. Two of the most beautiful and not teenage woman I know. If Estee Lauder was so old fashioned then why did they buy MAC? The complete polar opposite of their namesake brand? I would say that was a company makeover. Why compete when you can just buy them out? That requires a lot of money which “Grandma” Estee has and something that is very helpful when it comes to being hip.
i’m happy to see an Asian model!
/ agree
I’m impressed that Estee Lauder is trying to be less “old lady-like.” I would definitely go for purples!
nice to see an asian model being used for EL.
That model looks FAB!!! Love it!
I love the lipstick on the model! So bright and spring appropriate
meh. don’t like the model, don’t like the collection. pass.
the e/s reminds me of Guerlain e/s Champs-Élysées
Am I the only person who noticed that EL, Chanel and Dior have all come up with nail polishes that are grey-toned for their Spring 2011 collection? I’m not complaining though, I loveee grey nail polishes. 🙂
OOOOOOOOOOOOOMG!!!!!!!the lipstick the model is wearing is gorgeousssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

these are the lipsticks and lipglosses!!
I want the lipstick the model is wearing!
Finally an Asian model! It’s so refreshing to see ads with women of different races-keep it up Estee Lauder!
The promotion picture is absolutely STUNNING!
OMG, a model that looks vaguely like I do! (Well, she’s about a hundred times more beautiful.) A look I can copy without having to adapt it to my eyes… be still, my heart! 😀 This makes me super happy.
Great to see an Asian model! The eye palette looks nice.
she’s beautiful! but it kinda looks like they fused her arm and boob together in the picture haha
Oooo so much Purple!!!!!! Do you think wild violet will be similar to MAC’s Violetta?
Wow this collection will be great for my cool skin tone! way to go estee lauder!
Looks like Estee is having a price increase in January!
Great promo photo. I am happy to see EL use an Asian model; she’s is so beautiful. I am def going to check out this collection.
Beautiful Collection Bring on Spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
estee lauder is amazing for quality & value. i’m betting most of the people who think of it as “old lady” haven’t seen much of the stuff put out in the past 3-4 yrs. gorgeous turquoise & purple liquid shadows every bit as bright as UD electric & ransom, huge selection of high colored lipsticks & glosses. they do fabulous blues, silvers, purples, a highlighter very similar to touche eclat, the whole doublewear line is now huge
Fantastic Spring Collection! Excellent lipstick & lip gloss colours, great new mascara, interesting eye shadow colours. Love violets. Great new packaging. Loved the new Asian model too! Well done!!!!
