All I can think is, what is here above that isn’t already in my existing eyeshadow gluttony? I could see Grey Haze being a nice one to have for travel, if I ever get to go anywhere anytime soon!
Nancy – you have to remember that you and I and many others here aren’t “normal” in terms of our eyeshadow (and over-all makeup) “over-abundance” (sounds a bit nicer than “gluttony”, dontcha think?) so for some folks, especially those with a sense of brand loyalty to Estee Lauder, these might be just what they’ve been waiting for! They do seem to be nice, wearable, practical and well co-ordinated quads.
Very true on both counts, Mariella! Although my sock drawer (no more), another and top of the same low, large dresser of drawers are screaming for mercy, lol! I’m also a clothing and shoe “glutton”, but not pointing a finger at anyone but myself.
Estee Lauder is a best makeup brand. There is no debate in it. It’s shimmery shades are very pigmented.
Grey Haze and Indigo Night are really lovely. I will consider getting them and then that is it for eyeshadow. These two seem to cover everything for me. It’s nice to see Lauder putting out more up-to-date colors!
It’s good to see the brand feeling so confident that they are bringing out some new eyeshadow quads in a variety of earthy tones and a few pops of colour. Like Nancy above, I would have dupes for most of the shades I like..
Desert Dunes is beautiful, I was on the Estee Lauder site earlier and saw some awful reviews on these. A few people hate the shimmers for being too glittery. I always liked their formula.
The last Estee Lauder eyeshadow product I bought was the Estee Edit Gritty and Glow set of palettes and that has to be more than 5 years ago. Before that, it was decades ago that I purchased anything at all from the company (which used to be my “go to” brand back in the 70’s and 80’s, before MAC and UD came along).
Bought the Estee Edit Gritty & Glow duo back then also, Mariella. And it is still SUPERB in pigmentation, wear and beauty for when I feel like going full-on deep and grungy, yet colorful! Wish that the brand had kept that offshoot alive and kicking. Estee Edit had some lovely, very “me” types of items.
It was alarmingly short-lived which is odd when you think of how much work and expense must go into launching a new offshoot line. And it did indeed have some wonderful products. I bought one or two (maybe 3) backups of this “radiance activator” – a product that was a serum but also a primer and all over highlighter. I tried it and then, when it was marked down, I got another and then would pick them up whenever I’d see a bottle at Marshalls.
I love Estee Lauder products and Desert Dunes might be what i am looking for.
Wait a minute, do these have packaging of any kind?
The compacts are refillable, those these are the refill portion only! I didn’t buy any of the compacts.
I really like Grey Haze.
I like that EL does something new. Other than a lipstick or two and a tube of DW Light I’ve not bought anything from the brand since the collab with Victoria Beckham. Once upon a time I bought quite a lot from them then it felt like they never had anything exciting apart from the lip products.
