Estee Lauder Night Bloom Pure Color Gloss Stick
Estee Lauder Gloss Sticks: Night Bloom
Estee Lauder Night Bloom Pure Color Gloss Stick ($18.50 for 0.08 oz.) is the warmer sister of Mauve Mirage. It’s a warmer pink with soft golden shimmer with a glossy finish. The color itself is semi-opaque (very close to being opaque, actually) but still looks soft and elegant.
The Pure Color Gloss Stick formula is very creamy–it’s very much gloss-meets-lipstick in terms of the texture and feel on lips. I love that the color is semi-opaque without feeling heavy, and even though it has plenty of shine, it still lasts three to four hours and keeps lips soft. Like many other Estee Lauder lip products, it does have that sweet fig scent but no taste.
I think for those who were disappointed when MAC discontinued their Slimshines, you will find Estee Lauder’s Gloss Sticks to be a nice alternative. (And given that they’re all owned by the same company, may be closer in formula than you think!) The only criticism I have is regarding how little product they give you–0.08 oz. is rather undersized relative to Estee Lauder’s Lipsticks (0.13 oz.).

how do these compare to Benefits silky finish lipsticks??
Glossier/creamier
I really like this on you!
Gorgeous!
These pure color gloss sticks are quite amazing looking, I love how soft they are, but that they still deliver color! I hope you have more of them to swatch, because I’m really loving them, and both of them so far look really fantastic on you 🙂
Wow this whole line is really cool. I might have to check it out. It does seem like someone would go through this product pretty quickly. I imagine it’s pretty soft. I’ve heard that that’s a problem with the YSL Rouge Voluptes.
This reminds me of lazy day
Me2 but I don’t have a nordstroms near me:((((
Estee Lauder is sold at almost every department store and their websites. This shade is not a Nordstom exculsive. I am sure you can find this somewhere close to you.
Hi temptalia do you know a good dupe for macs lazy day
And a good dupe for macs goldielocks dazzleglass
You could try MAC Angel and Instant Gold.
What a pretty colour! I wonder how it would show up on pigmented asian lips?
pretty!
This is so pretty! Thanks for the swatches of these – they seem great. :]
I think your lip freckle is so cute! Do you like it?
I don’t really notice it, so I guess I’m indifferent 🙂
That’s really pretty and 3-4hrs is pretty darn good for a gloss stick, IMO. I’m a sucker for mauvey-pinks so I’ll have to check it out next time I’m near the EL counter.
cannot cannot stand that fig smell. have a lipstick of lauder’s i love and cannot use it. gets me so mad.
I love theses soft pink shades, and this one is really gorgeous on you !
Looks exactly like Love it! from Lancome. You reviewed that one too a while ago.
I think I had a misinformed SA last night. I went to go buy it based on your review and the pics, and they told me it was from an old collection they had already sent back the ones that hadn’t sold 🙁
It’s from their fall collection I believe! I know it’s still up on EL’s website!
