Estee Lauder Dramatic Teal Pure Color Intense Kajal Eye Crayon ($22.00 for 0.08 oz.) is described as “turquoise.” It’s a new and limited edition item from Estee Lauder Topaz for spring. The new formula is supposed to be creamy, richly pigmented (intense color in “one single stroke”), and blendable. Estee Lauder also says it can be used on the lower inner rim of the eye.

It’s so lovely! The color aside, which is gorgeous, but the formula is fantastic. It’s perfectly pigmented, and it’s nearly opaque in a single pass (and once you get past the initial tip, which is very fine-tipped, it’s easier to get that opaque line in one go). The consistency is very, very creamy, and it glides on the lash line effortlessly. I was expecting this to have some wear issues, but like the recent Kajal eyeliners, it didn’t budge. It wore for eight hours on my lower waterline, which is very impressive. On my lower lash line, it wore for twelve hours. No smudging, fading, migration, or any of that nonsense; just pure long-wearing color.

The color it is a dark blue-teal. It’s creamy with no shimmer, so it has more of a matte finish. It’s darker compared to Estee Lauder Electric Teal, though the difference isn’t extreme, so you may find you only need one.

These come sharpened, and the tip is extremely fine and long. It sharpens like other jumbo eye pencils, but because it has the consistency of your normal pencil eyeliner, there is a lot less waste than if this was a creamy jumbo eye pencil (think Urban Decay 24/7 Shadow Pencils, NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils, NARS Soft Touch Shadow Pencils). The waste is the same as an eyeliner (it wasn’t enough to make me concerned).

That sounds like really amazing wear on the waterline. I’m looking for a new black pencil that wear really well on the waterline and i’m considering this EL version in black. What’s a dark black pencil that wore really well on the waterline for you? Thanks!

Maybe the picture makes it look smaller (is it a fatter pencil? Sorry if you already mentioned that!) but it looks TINY. I thought it was half-gone when I first saw the pic.

is it thick but not long? it looks like that way. And if its thicker when it’s not sharpened, isnt this a problem for easier use? Lovely color btw. even though i have doubts about usage, i had already add it to my nordstrom bag:D

Hiya Christine, sorry this isn’t relevant to this post, but do you know if it’s true about Chanel Dragon Rouge Allure Lacque being discontinued? I love that so much and my local counter girl didn’t know. x

Eye Pencil looks gorgeous on you. Do you know if they make the pencil in a green? I’ll also be voting for you after I finish reading the rest of your blog for today. Good Luck. I have faith you’ll win. You’re the best! Diane

I received this product today and I put it on. Initially it was gorgeous but it didn’t last at all. It came right off. I’m so disappointed. Why would it stay on you 8 hours and “melt” off me immediately.

So Sad in Superior 🙁

I just received mine today. The color is so beautiful and I bought it to wear primarily on my waterline. Alas, but in 15 minutes it had worn completely off of the corners, settling into the lines of my outer corners. It also transferred to my lower lid, very, very slightly but still noticeable to me. The color remained on the mid-part of my waterline, but NOT the look I’m going for! There was also transfer in that area.

Determined to MAKE it work I tried setting it with MAC’s matte Robin’s Egg eyeshadow – about an hour and 15 minutes before it disappeared in the corners. So sad 🙁 I love the color so much! *sigh*

I want this sooooo bad, and it is sold out everywhere. I hate buying products over priced on eBay from people who take advantage of limited edition products by buying as much as they can from the counters and then re selling it to people 200% or more the original price. It leaves less product for us to buy at the counters and forces us to pay these people for what. They are doing. ANYWAY, are there any other eyeliners out there that are even a close dupe to this one I can buy?
