I actually really like the palette, as I’m a fan of muted colors. I’m not particularly interested in Disney things so I’m surprised! (I would have expected brighter colors for the collab as well.) I’m looking forward to seeing swatches.

So… when I think Mickey Mouse, I think primary red, black, white, and maybe bright yellow accents. NONE of these are represented here. I can sort of understand the sepia tones, but… this could be any other warm-toned collection. Don’t get the Mickey Mouse tie-in at all.

This is everything I was going to say. Being a huge Disney fan, I bought the Colourpop Princess palette, and those colors do make sense to me for Disney princesses, but I don’t get this collab at all. Brown and beige doesn’t say Mickey Mouse at all. Hard pass.

Maybe the sepia tones are to remind us of the black and white early films??? But you hit it on the head. I couldn’t place my finger on the right term for how I felt about these colors, sepia doe sit for me.

I’m usually a sucker for anything Disney, but these colors aren’t really working for me. They don’t feel very Mickey mouse inspired. The palette packaging is adorable, but I’m not going to pay $40 just for that. I hope other companies will be coming out with Mickey collabs for the 90th birthday!

I’ve never tried Dose of Colors but I am really loving the looks on the models. This might be the first DoC palette I try. Am hoping it will come to Ulta!

Being a child of the 60’s and watching the Mickey Mouse Club, I am unbelievably TEMPTED to jump on this palette and the one lipgloss, Muah!…..But with all I recently dropped on PMG palettes and Nars Studded holiday stuff, I’m a little bit afraid to? (although Muah over Nars Sheena could be one knockout lip combo!)

Please don’t buy it just because they slapped a picture of Mickey Mouse on it! You and I are the same age and I adore Disney, but this set kind of annoys me. I feel like Mickey is being used!!! Lol

Actually, I was a child of the 50s when cartoons and everything was black and wite so this seems like a blend between the two. Early color TVs weren’t very brright either. Just sayin. We all have similar yet a bit different memories. I also remember doing sepia in art class. It was an interesting variation.

I grew up with the Mickey Mouse club and my dads nick name in hs was Mickey. My dad was very handsome but he had ears that stuck out!

I actually love some of these looks with this palette maybe it doesn’t tie in color wise but if it did it would be unwearable for me.

Wondering if it’s coming to Ulta?

Well, it’s no Besame…I don’t get the tie-in, either. The shadows would prob be better than Besame’s, though. What history does this bring? I wonder if MM is so old that he’s in the public domain. Nothing about this says ‘licensed’ or ‘approved by corporate’ to me at all.

I’ve never bought any eye shadow from Besame. Just lipsticks and powder. I loved the look of the Snow White palette they did, but I found it too expensive as tax and postage adds a significant amount to anything bought from outside the EU.
I’m guessing you don’t find their eye shadows all that good. Pity, their lipsticks are among my favourite ones.

A “nope” for me. Looks very similar to another brand’s that I saw recently, Makeup Geek’s Stroke of Midnight. Very drab and gray and both would make me look dark and like the wicked queen from Snow White. I’m just not into that dark look right now.

I get more modern Mickey interpretation from the model’s clothing than I do from this collection itself. All of it is really pretty, but none of it is really Mickey?

I grew up literally 30 minutes from Disneyland in Orange County. I am old enough to remember when you could just buy an entry ticket for 60 cents and then you could buy individual tickets or books of tickets and the tickets were A, B, C, D and E and the rides corresponded to those tickets. The E ticket rides were like the Matterhorn, etc. We would go all the time and just buy the entry ticket and then go on a few rides, eat dinner and shop. A group of friends and I went there the night of our high school graduation and they closed the park to the public except for high school grads. So cool. Nothing in this collection reminds me of those times, of Mickey or in Disneyland in any way.

Oh for those days again, Seraphine. The expression that something is better than an E ride came from those tickets!! I had a teacher in high school who worked at Disneyland during the summer season and he would let us ride on whatever ride he was working that day, for free. Back before the days of equal opportunity, Disneyland only hired very attractive young men and women. If you had spots, were over weight or just didn’t fit the profile you wouldn’t get hired. I am not condoning that but must say, it made for some interesting times for me and my girlfriends as we ogled all the cute guys!!

I like the palette, the looks they’ve done are really beautiful, however it’s not saying Mickey Mouse. I think they could at least have made a Mickey red lipstick.
I will look for reviews for the palette, and I hope Christine will have time to review it, as tthe reviews here are the ones I trust the most.

I’ve never tried DoC. I fail to see anything that reminds me of Mickey Mouse but I’m drawn to this because of the swatches and the beautiful array of models. Lately, I’m really into cool toned shadows.

Ulta doesn’t carry this one. I don’t like them so much as to set up an account on Dose of Color’s site. I love their matte liquid lip colors and their lipsticks are OK, too. Those lip crayons are pretty impressive, would like to try them. I have not seen those before.
