Dolce & Gabbana Amethyst Lipgloss
Dolce & Gabbana Amethyst Lipgloss
Dolce & Gabbana Amethyst Lipgloss ($29.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a deepened burgundy berry with soft violet and burgundy micro-shimmer. It’s semi-opaque with decent color pay off and definitely gives lips a darker, vampier look, but my natural lip color does peek through. What I really liked about this gloss though was how despite the deeper color, it did not settle into lip lines.
my thoughts on the formula: Dolce & Gabbana Lip Glosses are moisturizing, and they fade really well when they wear away. With this particular shade, I was able to get a solid four hours of wear. These glosses are heavily rose-scented but don’t seem to have any taste. With just 0.13 oz. in a tube (compared to 0.20 oz. for other high-end brands like Chanel, Guerlain, and YSL), these are pricey.

pretty but I find it so hard to judge lipgloss without lipstick under it.
had to comment anyway cuz I love the eye makeup!
It’s too bad Dolce & Gabbana can’t put more product in the tube for the price. They really do make some lovely glosses, and I think sheer berries like this are a great way to transition into darker colors for people who don’t feel comfortable wearing them.
I’m totally digging this!
that’s a really great color on you 😛
I like the shade. Looks nice on you, but I think it’ll hardly stay longer than an hour.
Oooh, this is beautiful!
I love dark berry-coloured glosses. :3
Wow, this color is amazing! I love that shimmer!
Hi Christine. I have been trying to leave a couple of comments on some posts, but you are not approving them. I would like to know why.
I have no idea what comments you are referring to. It shows you have 18 comments all approved? There are no comments pending from you. Perhaps you were looking too soon? Comments are *manually* approved, so it may take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours – depending on whether or not I am at the computer… If you asked me a question, then I do not approve your comment until I am able to answer you, which may take several days. Temptalia receives a large volume of comments through the blog alone, and unfortunately, I am not able to reply immediately, and for that I apologize. Are you sure you are looking on all pages of the comments? Many posts have multiple pages of comments – we only show about ~100 comments per page, sorted by oldest to newest.
I don’t think I have left 18 comments. I know there is someone else named “Sam” who leaves comments as well, but I am a different Sam. I have just started leaving comments a few months ago. But, I left a comment on the pigment new packaging post you did back last year. I just left the comment like a week ago, and then I left one on the Illamasqua lip gloss review that you just did a few days ago, never approved either. I also just left one on the Pink Friday lipstick never approved either. I am not accusing you of not approving my comments, and I understand that your website is very popular. I am just a little bit frustrated.
They are all your comments (same name and email), and all of those comments are all approved and have been for sometime. Again, are you looking at all of the pages? Because several of your comments were left on posts with over 100 comments – did you perhaps check page two or three and so on of the comment section?
Just for reference, since I’m not sure why you aren’t seeing yours but I know that I have already triple checked and seen them myself, on multiple browsers, are direct links to the past three comments you have left:
