Do you use self-tanner during the winter?
Do you use self-tanner during the winter? Or do you just go with your natural skin tone?
I haven’t used self-tanner in years, mostly because I’m already medium in color and I tan super, super quick during the summer (even with sunscreen!). I just don’t have the patience or desire to work with self-tanner. Besides, it’s so cold out, I’m always wearing pants or tights!

I never ever use self-tanner or go into the sun! Haha. I just look better pale… around NC15-NC20.
Yes always! My skin is so dull..I need the self-tanner to give me a little pick me up. Even so, I make sure to use just enough for a glow, never orange or too dark.
no! gross and orange
My skintone is very close to, if not exactly like yours, Christine. What with being part Southeast Asian and part Caucasian and all. I also tan incredibly fast, even with high-spectrum sunscreen. Moreover, I find that I look really silly with a tan, so I’m not interested in getting any darker than I already am. If anything, I try to get just a little paler, since I find it works better with my features.
Shortly, no, I don’t wear self-tanner.
im half south east asian and half white but dont tan that easily. 🙁 around nc20 in mac..
No, I don’t. I don’t tan very well, even in the summer. So I decided to embrace my paleness.
I have learned to accept and love being pale. I used self-tanner when I was in sixth grade…and never again. Good riddance.
Nope. I do the opposite: Using a high SPF during the summer while trying to stay away from the sun. I prefer being pale….
Also; I don’t see the point of using self-tanner when it’s -20 degrees Celsius (In Dec-Jan)…
😉
I hate selftanner! I never used it and I never will. It’s fake. Make up is enhancing your natural beauty. If you’re not tanned naturally, selftanner is just fake.
Sometimes in the face/neck when I look like death walking…. 🙂 I’m NC15 and go super super pale in the winter it’s hard to even bronze myself up
I ve never used sel tanner before a)because I am a NC40 and b)I am terribly afraid that something will go wrong. But I have seen results from friends that do and they look great all year long.
Nope, for similar reasons to Christine. Plus, I don’t mind being pale. Really! I think it can look quite striking on many women.
No, I don’t ever use it. I’ve seen other people use it year-round, though, and it looks fine.
I have never used self-tanner in my life nor do I intend to. My natural skin tone is a very warm NC30- 35, so yeah. -.-
only if i have a special event… or if im just feeling particularly pasty. generally, i’ll let it be.
I used to be a sun worshipper and honestly look a whole lot better with a tan and tan very easily (mother is from south america)but I can get very pale (father is part irish). I get a lot of freckles (aka sun damage)from even just driving down the street. I got rid of most of the sun damage through IPL. Since I miss being tan so much but dont want the freckles I’ve started to use St. Tropez gradual tanner. I had samples of Dr. Perricone self tanner that I also enjoyed. Since I exfoliate and like my makeup to match I like the gradual tanner so its more subtle. I will continue to use it throughout the winter and summer! and go to the spray booth for special events.
no. I never use self tanner. ever.
No self-tanner ever. I’m pale, and I rock it. I do occasionally tan the old fashioned way on vacation; yes, I’m aware of the risk.
Nope, and I don’t use it in the summer. Nor do I lay out in the sun. I’m a proud NW15.
I do but only for certain events. I self-tan all summer long so by the fall and winter I’m quite ready for a break! But I have a wedding coming up in December, for instance, and for that I’ll self-tan.
